I’m a driving instructor and although this test is good it’s bad how it can give you no points for seeing a hazard too early. No such thing as too early in driving

One thing I absolutely noticed is that hazard perception feels more like learning how to game the test, not actually perceive hazards.
I got zero on two clips and failed by 2 points, but I saw everything and know I clicked too early on some of them
fml same, i smashed the multiple choice too. I was fuming that day...
Just happened to me 5 clips it gave me 0 points when I would have gotten it, I did it like I would in the dvsa app where h click 5 times and get 5 points
@@baileyvarty3304 Exactly the same with me - 5 clips zeroed! It'a absolutely bloody ridiculous! And insulting to be told they've detected that I'm cheating! Even though I got 0 for those 5 clips, I still only failed by 7 points so I must've been doing something right! They SERIOUSLY need to recalibrate their so called 'cheat detection!'
I did the test twice and msq is 49/50 which is fine but those hazard videos are utterly ridiculous like remove it or do it on the practical test or even include less of them…I got 42/75 on both tests by clicking early! 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I got 48-50 on the multiple and I was 1 off on hazard perception and I know one of the clips I got zero on… it was a long stretch of road… a lorry comes over the hill in the distance followed by 3 bikes!! I clicked it as I thought this is gonna be a hazard… low and behold I was right but too quick!!! I have my test again on the 7th and if I fail this time I don’t think god wants me to pass 😂😂😂😂

I just want to thank you for making this video. Just passed my theory test 1hr ago. The 3 click method helped me score 60 of 75 in the hazard perception section.

@@whyamigae9666 Ive got mine in a couple hours lol. I genuinely started revising 4 or 5 days ago and have been doing mock tests on the dvsa app (very useful) until I started getting high scores. Good Luck!

@@whyamigae9666 46/50 and 55/75. The questions weren’t exactly the same as the DVSA app but they were somewhat similar. I’d recommend using the app to do mocks until you’re getting 50/50s
Failed my theory on the hazard perception after 50/50 on multiple choice, purely because I clicked too early on three clips. Failed with 43/75. Absolutely devastated. I will remember this method for my next test!

Failed my first one after a 47/50, & a 40/72. Got DQ’ed from 3 videos coz it said I clicked in a pattern/ too many times something like that.
Im in the same boat now haha git 49 out of 50 on questions , would of got 50 only one of the questions , wernt coverd in the app,, an underscored on hazard , was a bit down after it but booked again soon as i git home , got a test date next week

Got my theory test in two weeks. Passed all the Multiple Choice Questions. Now just practicing the Hazard Perception Clips. Before doing a final attempt on all MCQ and Mock Tests. Just to be test prepared and ready.
Not coming in here to rub it in but passed first time!! 🔥🔥🔥 hours of watching youtube clips and using apps to practise the questions and hazard perception really does pay off. ❤

This video is the most helpful that I’ve seen so far out of many, I’ve watched it once in the morning before my theory exam and passed! Used the 3 click method, you got this guys stay calm and make sure you’re fully focused on the videos it will be easy for you, good luck!

My issue with this test has always been that there are often more than one hazard but you're only scored for one, plus some questions score you the most for noticing the person when they've just come onscreen (and barely visible), even though they are still a potential hazard rather than developing at that point. I kind of wish it worked the same as the quick time events do in the game Shenmue, having a different outcome if you win or fail. Much better for reflexes than just hoping you got the right hazard.

Just to let you and anyone reading this know that I had my theory test today and I scored: 48/50 for multiple choice questions and 61/75 for hazard perception clips. All thanks in large part to that brilliant 4 in 1 DVSA app!
I can't recommend it enough as I found it hard to try and memorize just from the Highway Code book and the app makes it literally more 'hands on' and easier to take in. And I haven't even gone through all of the features on it as there's so many! Trust me folks, if I can smash the ar$e off that test, then YOU can too 😁

Thank you so much for the advice on the triple click method! My daughter passed second time using this method. On her first test she was only clicking once per developing hazard so subsequently was to early on a few clips. The app is great too!

I've done my theory test twice now. First time i failed both parts but i got so motivated to revise . Took it again this morning, got 49/50 for the multiple choice and 37/75 for the hazard perception. I'm very pleased with my knowledge of the highway code, but also feel so lost in regards to hazard perception because I thought i was doing everything right, don't know what else to do.

Did you do the 3 method click? I did it on my first 3 videos and they penilised me for click three times and scored me 0 since the begining. I think this has changed

@@omniaelkhalifa7281 hi, I’d highly recommend you to use the theory 4 in 1 app and do as much hazard practice clips as you can, I really struggled with the hazard perception until I learnt the 3 click method. Click one - when you see a potential hazard click two- when the hazard moves and click the third time a second after the 2nd click. Such a good attempt for your first try though. Hopefully you pass second time! X

It fails you if you notice hazard to early, how is that even possible. 😂💪 damn this test is useless
There is a scoring window from when the Hazard beings to develop. So many pupils miss out on this by clicking too early.

Really helpful video thank you Lauren! Does each click be registered by a red flag? Last time I went on my test I clicked more then 5 times but only 5 flags appeared. Is that normal? I got my test on Saturday. Xx.

I’ve been revising for my theory for the last 2 weeks, always passing the multiple choice, but sometimes missing out on the hazard perception. I’m defo gonna start using the 3 click method as I haven’t ever used it. Hopefully it works

What click will it register if 2 of mine are in the scoring window?
I cant believe there’s such a thing as clicking too early.. I have really good pattern recognition and reactions to things like this.. It should be scored from the frame that the hazard develops.. that way you cant be punished for being good at something 😭

Just realised I’ve been practicing the hazard test wrong this whole time 😑
I’ve been revising of this app, for anyone else that’s used it in the real thing are the questions worded the same or are they totally different??
The questions are almost exactly the same. The hazard perception clips are different.
The questions in the real thing are based on coloured shapes

I’ve literally been getting 50/50 and 75/75 all the time on DVSA mock tests on app but when I go to do it in the test centre I fail because I get given different questions none of them are the same so idk what to revise
Don’t do mocks, practice ALL questions so you then know all the questions and once you’ve answered all, practice the ones you got wrong xx

@@kevn6687 Most of them were pretty easy. But there was one clip where there’s a car parked on your side of the road and there’s a van coming towards you. I thought the road looked wide enough for us to both fit through but it turned out I had to stop and I didn’t click. Maybe if I had clicked I would’ve passed 😂 Have you done your test yet?
@@kevn6687 I was too. Don’t worry too much, it’s over before you know it :) (well, that is if you don’t fail and have to go back again like me😂). My advice to you would be this: if you think something might be a hazard, CLICK!! Lol. Wish you the best of luck 🤞 Let me know how it goes :)

My test is in 2 weeks, I've been revising for a year because of COVID when I was 16 and now I'm focusing on Hazard Perception. I've read the highway code and I'm on my 10th driving lesson. Hopefully, I pass.
