Man I never heard that one.
"If ur trailer has more axels than ur house than ur winning "
I love that one. That almost makde me spit my drink out.
That's how you know you made it in life!
@@MortskeRepair man id fix that thing clean it up and drop it on some 20in mobsteels
I thought it was hilarious myself
Amen!!! 😂👍😁
"There's nothing more permanent then temporary plumbing!"
Had me laughing real good on this one
It's the truth tho!
I love how squares bring so much happiness to people🤝 i love my 79💪
Now if this doesn't say America I don't know what does.
Gentleman's Chevy
Will have to save that one for future use!
Gay mans Chevy more like it
I freaking love squarebody's!
Freakin A! So does Hugust!
Me three, I own one.
“Swedish nut lathe” I nearly choked on my sammich.
Perfectly roundish! Every time!
I can't stop laughing
STOP.....bababahahahaha!
Fine truck, let's see how a new one would do in the same situation. Nothing like an ol' real truck 😉👍
Bringing old and long abandoned vehicles back to life is something that gearheads never get tired of. I hope the old gal has a brighter future at a good home. Staying out in some pasture all by her lonesome is heartbreaking.
She's already making strides and is back on the road!
@@MortskeRepair Excellent. :-)
I love these trucks. My brother had a 76 C10 for years. I loved working on that thing. I could just sit in the engine compartment when I needed to work on it. Tech tip: Don't bend the power steering pulley. They are much more difficult to find than they should be.
haha I've got a box of them pulleys!
Awesome that you guys got it to run so quick. Hopefully it’ll drive on the road or fields soon. It’s good to have people like you work on these rather than to have them rot while there is still demand and appreciation for them.
That sound like sizzlin' bacon...I like how he said, " do we have any snow" LOLOL
I’m glad I could “help” you get that abandoned square out of the weeds!
I'd be lying if I said I did it all! I mean, you did pump up that tire and pull it out of the hole.
Mickelson got a new sub 🇩🇰
@@calleolsen9359 thank you!
@@calleolsen9359 He owes me a sammich for every subscriber. So I thank you!

Hope it’s a big one 😂
My dad has an old square body Chevy that he's been wanting to restore pretty soon. Been sitting for about 20 years I think. Soon as he's ready to start I'm definitely gonna be helping as much as I can.
She’s a runner! What a mint unit. Always nice and warm too thanks to internal and external combustion. 🤣
Toasty toasty!
Him and Duff has the coolest videos.
I like taking trip with this guy. I know he'll find good stuff.theres nothing like a junk truck and a cold beer on a winter day
You could wash that up and your ready for a car and truck show.
I swear, yours are the best videos on first starts and other stuff on youtube! The commentary and small video clips are amazing! I've learned a whole new language of descriptive terms from you and a deeper appreciation for a few good Barley sammiches!
Haha glad you enjoyed it and thanks much for watching Paleo! Always look forward to your comments!
"Don't use the right size wrench, use a pipe wrench" had me dying
That fire was terrifying and awesome at the same time. Ran pretty well though. I'd daily that thing for sure ! Thanks for the laughs !
Thanks for watching Erik!
Snow for a fire extinguisher... Nice touch... I'll remember that one. Those old chevy motors just run and run... Good video.
Canadian fire extinguisher! Always keep one handy!
I haven't even finished the vidya and I've already almost spat out my coffee at least 3 times from laughing so hard. Y'all should definitely do more collabs together, this is great
Noted! I’m sure Mortske would love to have me watch him work more often!
MRC can't afford the sammiches required for frequent guest appearances!
@@MortskeRepair let alone source them!
@@MickelsonRacingChannel You gotta get creative!
Mortske you madman that had twisted tea cut had me rolling. BOOM!
It just hits different
you guys were made for each other - fun times
I'm sure his significant other would argue against that!
My dad had the 76 crew cab Sierra grande these trucks were awesome! I hope that they fix this truck up...! Thank you for bringing back great memories!
You bet
I’ve never commented on any of your videos so far, I’m a newer subscriber but i think this one is my favorite so far. I definitely almost spit out the drink a few times. If you and vgg ever get together on a collaboration it’s over 🍻. Keep up the great work man, really enjoy your videos.
Wow, thank you! I appreciate the kind words and for watching and subscribing as well!
Thanks for watching!
These are great pickups. My dad had one Camper Special with a 454. Man it would drink the gas.
That looks like a Gentleman Jim! They're worth every bit of $1000 fully restored!😂😂
Tens of dollars!
Yes a square body long bed. I'm going to enjoy this one.
There was some good laughs in that one. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it Steven!
That 76 got some go to her. Them old quad-4s are not bad.. Ive rebuilt a few . I put j.b.weld on the freeze plugs,in the bottom of the float bowl. I think i did somthing with the accelerator pump linkage. To increase the throw on the plunger.. She came alive. Thanks again for all these awsome videos.GOOD TIMES!!!👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it! Great carbs when they work!
Dude that was awesome....been having a good squarebody run , c10 addicts thank you
I'm glad I could get my hands on a few! They're great rigs to work on!
I was laughing more than a couple times while you guys where working on that chevy some on the things said where GREAT!
Mortske is always good for a laugh!
“HOW DARE YOU!” 🤣
Laughed a lot on this one ..... like a kid in a sweet shop.... finding all the “accessories”......plugs etc😝....an it certainly fired up 😳😋👍🏼keep em coming.

@@calleolsen9359 So that's where parents get that attitude!
That's one beautiful 76 GMC Squarebody brother. I love the red and white color as well.
3 pump brakes are how I learned to drive. My whole life I been giving em a tap to see if they're home.
It's a pleasant surprise when they work!
You guys are a riot to listen to! Mortske, why don't you join his crew at a race or something else different? I can hear it now: "Oh yeah, lots of duct tape'll fix anything!" Voila, duct tape body for racer.
Ain't nobody got time for that!
@@MortskeRepair Who said it would be for free? Video it for the channel!
Great rescue. I knew she'd be a runner after you swapped out the summer battery for the winter one. Luckily you were able to put the fire out before the ammunition lit up.
Always keep a canadian fire extinguisher on hand!
I had a 79 gmc identical to this one as a 14 y/o - bought it for $500 as my first vehicle. sold it to a farmer and 23 years later, my dad bought it back and is fixing it up for MY kids (his grandkids). I hope to keep it running for several more years.
Good one thats a runner

Another good one Mortske, thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Somebody, anybody, be this mans battery sponsor!!!
I made a stupid comment before you knowing what I know and what other's know. I've been going back and forth on your channel and see a few of these square bodies and you obviously know the value in these things. I enjoy all your videos and miss doing this stuff and saving all that I can. I'm shocked that you find all this stuff in no man's land. Keep up the good fight and keep the videos coming. Thankfully the aftermarket is what it is and getting better
Will do!
I heard a Letterkenny reference .... Good Enough ... Good Stuff!
I could watch kids fall off bikes all day!
You’re spare parts bud.
@@rhubarb99999 That's what I appreciates about ya rhubarb!
I could smell that “old car smell” when he opened the door....
It really singes the nostrils!
Doin' Ford stuff. Draggin' GMC's. I about choked on my coffee. Done that a time or two.
Tools found in newly bought vehicles are the best.
Makes up for all the ones we lost over the years!
Nice! The fuel volcano out of the vent tube was a nice touch :)
At least it didn't ignite!

Hi Brother Mort, this is probably my favorite episode .... I'm still working on my sons 79 GMC, it's the SAME color, and has the SAME grill ... I feel like i'm out freezing with you!!!! The dash and seat in this 76 are actually better than those in my sons 79. Nevertheless, I return to re-watch this one at least monthly. God bless you!!
Right on!
15:47 WOOOOO DAMN SHE'S ALIVEEEEEEE!!!💪
Motor just starts then gets revved to 8K for twenty minutes underload. Awesome
We do what we know how to do!
Another great save! Thanks for another entertaining video. You never did give a sandwich count till you got it running.
I lost count after 17...
cold beers on winter days and on gravel and dirt roads what a great time beating fun fines
That made laugh, good job gentlemen.
"You follow me."
Classic! Lol
Holy Bazinga Mortske, I never seen you so happy ! But you never did turn the camera down upon U'r self ! I see

THE funniest Mortske video ever! Sides are splitting! How many sammiches was it? Great stuff keep it coming! Would be fantastic to join you for a first start awesomeness.
Glad you enjoyed it James!! It was pert near too many if I'm gonna be honest...
Thanks for watching!
She is a right beaut. Got a nice gem right there ,.... my first truck was a 1973 chevy chyanne super , 12 inch lift,44 boggers, built 327, full roller motor,1 ton axles. I was 15. Me and my dad built it..... It was stolen 5 yrs later I found it waaaaayyyy. in the country with the front clip torched off, motor gone, axles, gone all glass broke, got a shell and my 44s back thats it. There was 30 stolen trucks at the property!!!!! In 2005
Dang that sucks!
@@MortskeRepair a life lesson was learned that week!!
In typical squarebody fashion those front brake hoses collapse under the metal bracket that bolts them to the upper A-arm and hold brake pressure on the caliper. Ask me how I know. Ha love the channel!! Keep up the good work.
If only we had a budget for new parts!
Nice score buddy! I love that color combo- remember to oil those hood henges.
They did have some great colors back then!
Tum Wrench Swedish nut lathe lol hahaha what a gem! Hahaha
Rounds em off every time!
Hahahaha that "hepatitis seeee ya later" got me good yet again another amazing video by my favroit youtuber 😁 give duff some rubs from me 😊 much love from the UK 🇬🇧
Thanks for tuning in!
@@MickelsonRacingChannel this channel has really helped with my depression so I really appreciate you taking time out of your day to make videos for us to watch 😊😊😊
Wow, that’s great! I’m glad we are able to brighten your days! 😁
That thing probably does have only 64000 miles on it. I've never seen a minivan snatch a full-size truck out of some holes like that before, that is definitely the power snatch of the century.
Where there's a will there's a way!
This cool truck running
Man I wish I could be there out in a cold snowy field trying to get an old Chevy running 🤣. Hope that was a dead soldier that fell off the fender and not a full beer. I've done the Ford thing several times and pulled a Chevy/Dodge home. Unfortunately they were never around when I needed a tow
Mr. Mortske, just another fine version of American ingenuity! A ‘76 with its own NASCAR tool kit as standard equipment. DIY at its finest. Great video guys. Ton of laughs and a camp fire to boot. Thanks. Big Al. Mr. Mortske, what is your first name? Stay safe.
I'm like Lebowski! I just go by Mortske!
Fantastic.....good ole GMC. It does sound good wide open!
Friggin loves it!
Keep it love squarebodys sell it to me ! She a good ol truck
What a score man I didn't get any of that except for two jacks and starting fluid.
mmmm ether
Great truck! Cheers! -Al 🍻
Thanks
Sweet Truck... good clean FUN!
Thanks 👍
GMC. Gentleman's Chevy....lol I like that,...clean it up, its a daily driver, has to be the easiest rescue I've seen...
That ratchet set alone was worth the purchase.
The lack of flexi rad hoses is rather refreshing!
That's why it's overheating!
Oooooo been waiting for this one! What a s**t show dumpster fire (literally) 😂😂😂. Another great mortske video full of great one liner ice breakers for a night on the town! 👌
Thanks again MLG!
My baby brother still has my Dad's 78 GMC Sierra Classic over 300000 and it still starts and runs.
Great old rigs!
Beautiful truck love square body
How much beer??? All of them lol love ya morskie
i reached for that beer as it was falling
Hopefully you didn't spill yours during the process!
I, on the other hand, did not! 😂
I got a spare body Chevy they r awesome like a rock and no rust on it !!!!
You two are not well...love it
Couldn't agree more!
Thorsen used to be a high quality brand until the 1980s when they went out of business.
Sure did! I've got a pile of old Thorsen tools!
I liked them old chevy crack jack pickups ..
They were rust buckets fenders rocker pannels .hood hinges you always had to grease .. buddy of mine had a cheyenne that was chromed out another friend had the Gentleman Jim .fully loaded ..
Next video with it: Pull that humongous trailer with it! I'm talking a few yards on the flat. Oh yeah, the fifth wheel install on the square body doesn't have to be permanent, just removeable from the trailer.
That’s a good idea!!!
From the land of the sky blue waters!
Hamms!
Good stuff man! Enjoyed the video
Glad you enjoyed!
