no, this was a local weekly boston tv station bowling show where the bowlers earned their way on by winning a 5 string roll off against other bowlers and then could win money on the show. the show ran for about 35 years from about 1960 to 1995. there is no tv bowling in the new england area anymore but there are some matches starting to appear on youtube which is interesting if you like to watch candlepin bowling. i've bowled in leagues since the 70's and still bowling now at 73 yrs old.
This program ended its run in early 1996, there are many Candlepin tournaments & other events still out there today and a lot of folks streaming them online both here on RUclips and also on Facebook. Sadly, Candlepin bowling as a whole hasn't had an actual TV show since 2009 (The Candlepin Challenge lasted until 2009 itself), anything else that has happened since then have been either special events with a handful of airings on TV (like Candlepins for Kids on NESN) or stuff you can pretty much only find online.
@@Wolfman12395 this, RUclips, is where I watch, first heard of and enjoy candlepin, and duckpin bowling... Hopefully one day in the future, I'll get back there and try it out for myself.
Thank you for serving your community Carchedi.

in candlepin bowling it happens all the time.
I wonder if anyone will ever get a perfect 300 in a string of candlepin?
So they still have these tournaments going?

Joe Carchedi is my great uncle
I think that if the kid didn’t roll so hard he’d be better off.
