honestly with the sub v. dub situation, I feel like it depends on the anime. Attack on Titan, jujutsu kaisen, and most sports animes have really great dubs, but you could never go wrong with the original sub.😁

YESSSS I think if you're not very familiar with the humor and how the characters normally interact you should start with a "light" anime that doesn't touch on very complicated or sensitive topics (BF). In my opinion I think it's good that u guys start with JJK which has generic but entertaining themes, it has many funny moments and good fights too. I think Attack on Titan would be a little difficult to digest, but hey, watch the anime that interests you the most, I'll watch it with you anyways! (also praying that one day you see Haikyuu)
