Azur lane is pure harem, but anime erase the mc, doesn't make a proper story, fill it with unncesary characters and fanservice. Yeah I would take Arknight proper story with doctor and Amiya anytime, fandom can fill the rest anyway.

Arknights has one of the best resource usage, crafting and control of any game i've ever seen. Nothing is ever wasted in this game and i love it. Even when the timed resource farming missions are closed, you still can grind somewhere else with utmost peace of mind. The morale system doesn't disappoint either, it takes a long time before you have someone switch turns. Battle is also awesome, it's a complex puzzle if you are evenly matched with the enemy. If you are more powerful, the game incentivates efficiency too. Even elite units can struggle if not positioned with care.

@@JumpyZ_ Trying to get the 5/6*s you want and, for people who plan to spend money on these games from the outset, refilling your "sanity" (the standard mobile game stamina-esque feature that limits how much you can play per day). Realistically, though, it's possible to get pretty far with just your initial 5/6* guarantees and a bunch of 3/4* units, due to how the deployment cost system works. In fact, your endgame team is likely to have a couple 3*s (probably Vanguards) on it. Also, sanity takes a while to become a limiting factor because it auto-refills on level up, you get a refill potion or two from doing weekly challenges, failing a mission refunds most of the cost of attempting, etc. As a tower defense game, it's more fun if you're not extremely overleveled, so it should take a good amount of gameplay time before grinding is burning all your stamina faster than it restores.
Tl:;Dr 3 stars aren't bad to use even late game if you know how to use them right. The units follow a progression when it comes to rarity. There are units that do the same thing in each star level like a healing defender for example there is one 3 star one 4 star ect the only difference between them is stats and how strong the effects are. The reason for that is the levels and skills are capped 3 stars can't be leveled as far as 4 and 4 can't go as far as 5 stars etc. There is a trade off through promotion (basically resets level but keeps the stats the same to allow them to go higher) they become stronger stat wise and gain more abilities they also cost more. So if you rush to promote you might end up with someone to costly to use when you need to use them in the fight. Lastly the lower rarity units are easier/cheaper to promote but most times you won't need to worry about costs as much as you will get so many duplicates of them their cost will be the same as when you got them (one of the perks of getting a duplicate is it can be used to reduce the cost by 2, reduce times to redeploy, and a boost to an effect or stat like attack) really though you can do a huge chunk of the game with 3 stars I'm already at chapter 3 in the story and I only used common 3 star units. You don't need high rarity to win but they do make things go faster. This game is FTP friendly just takes a mind for strategic planning like a real commander...I mean doctor ;)
I saw this animation again. And I realized, that Arknights would be a perfect plot for a game like Code Vein... No, it could be way beyond that if done right... This... This could be one of the best games from that genre if it were made. It's a pretty good game as it is, but like that, it would have no others alike.

Above all else, the story ingame is so good and there's no plot nuisance like fan service or revealing ecchi scenes, just badass that they need to protect their home, and following their mission to survive. there were some animators that put in zero effort because Azur is a "gacha game". Needless to say, i assume that stuff was the catalyst for Yostar to start their own animation Studio, which is used for this trailer and the upcoming Azur Lane Slow Ahead spinoff.
You guys complain about azur lane's animation, but at least they put some effort in it to not just be a shity plotless fanservice shot without substance or interest like most of mobile game adaptation tend to be (or a 25min ads)

@@oshogupta1 ik right and the thing is that a game like azur lane gets released here(with so many waifus) and a game like this(not that many waifus) doesn't release at all!!! It's either the company Yostar thats not willing to release in the SEA regions or our government is not letting them release it.

When the Arknights anime look better than Azur Lane anime...
there were some animators that put in zero effort because Azur is a "gacha game".
Needless to say, i assume that stuff was the catalyst for Yostar to start their own animation Studio, which is used for this trailer and the upcoming Azur Lane Slow Ahead spinoff.
You guys complain about azur lane's animation, but at least they put some effort in it to not just be a shity plotless fanservice shot without substance or interest like most of mobile game adaptation tend to be (or a 25min ads)
