It's crucial for people to understand the distinction between disturbing and edgy when it comes to movies. While both terms may evoke strong emotions, they represent different aspects of storytelling. Disturbing films often aim to provoke discomfort or unease by exploring dark or taboo subjects. They challenge our perceptions and push boundaries to make us think and reflect on the human condition. On the other hand, an overly edgy film like this one doesn’t take much effort to make; piecing together low hanging fruit like incest and gore to incite a reaction.

I've known about this movie for a long time; even before Wendigoon's Disturbing Films Iceberg came out. Let me just say, the history behind the movie is MUCH more interesting than the movie itself. For the most part, the director James Creamer did most of the heavy lifting; writing, editing, animating, composing, and voice acting in the film. Labby is a dark comedy take on Lassie, and portions of the film were mo-capped using an XBOX 360 Kinect, and the software he'd taught himself to use via RUclips tutorials called Maya. It was praised by the only film festival that didn't reject the film, loving the story and animation but weren't a big fan of the voice acting. Creamer has a whole other film, much longer than this one, titled When Black Birds Fly, released to the public in 2016.
Jimmy ScreamerClauz was also said to have been high while making it, so that's interesting. If you've heard of Emily Youcis or Alfred Alfer, the creator of this animation and her were good friends. She had Labby in one of the last Alfred Alfer animations

If you want to watch an actual disturbing animation movie, I would recommend Mad God and Unicorn Wars. The first one is a stop motion animation movie 20 years in the making and the other is a Happy tree friends-esk movie that deals with religious devotion and the horrors of war.
Oh I forgot this existed... I watched it a long time ago and boy was it a trip. The material in the "plot" could certainly be disturbing, you know, if handled correctly, but as it is, I am moreso confused and stuck in involuntary giggling to be properly disturbed. Kudos for the director for doing everything from voice acting to editing, but the fact he genuinely thought he was doing a comedy is very telling. And by telling I mean drugs were definitely involved.
I suggest checking out Unicorn Wars. It's not necessarily the most 'disturbing' movie, but it's really good and a little bizarre with beautiful animation. The ending is interesting since I think you can interpret it in so many ways; it really makes me want to see more serious animated films be made.
@katelyn I mean, yes those are disturbing topics and ideas but the execution is less 'horrific delve into the twisted psyche of humanity' and more '15 year thought of the edgiest shit he could and thought it was deep "and then the demon dog told him to kill his parents and then it bit his dick off and then it ATE the baby out of his pregnant mother! Oh and then the dog made him have sex with him and then..." etc.

Reading the plot synopsis and watching the first 30 minutes, this shit feels like something a 15 year old edgelord would find "disturbing". Very much an "All edge but no point" sort of deal. The fact that it _LOOKS_ like it was made by a 15 year old in Garry's Mod doesn't help matters.
All edge and no point funnily enough describes the sword of a 17th century executioner, which is what I yearn for after thinking about this "movie" again...
"there's a new horror movie on netflix that some ppl are saying is the scariest thing they've ever seen" yeah you hear this about any new horror movie from Netflix at least once a month. at this point can ppl on tt watch anything? lmao
@that kid kicked sand in cool cat's face! It's the new way to advertise. More than likely it's either Netflix representatives or people who worked on the movie paying these tiktokers to hype the movies up as the most _ movie ever. It's become a common thing in the music industry for smaller bands/artists these days to pay these types of tiktokers to hype singles/album releases. They make anywhere between $100 - $5k just to make like one 30s tiktok to promote, it's crazy.
This movie is… fascinating. The content is super messed up but something about the way everything comes together makes an experience unlike any other. Oh, and fun fact: a lot of this movie was mocapped with an xbox kinect.

That was awesome. Such peak cinema! Cant believe you took the time out of your busy content schedule to bring us this masterpiece. MistaGG, youve outdone yourself yet again! (Youre fantastic bro *Fist bumps*)
I feel this "movie" creator's PC needs to be investigated. I have seen numerous cases by now of p*dos that have created content online and they all have a very similar quality, especially the 3D model animation, and this movie feels so close to this. Not to mention the big part of the "story" and numerous child *you know* scenes. Not only is this extremely distasteful and plain garbage, but also causes me to worry for who the creator might be behind the scenes. Anyways, on a lighter note, thanks for the video GG, found your channel recently and I've been on a binge. I'm not even a movie guy, but your personality has me hooked. Keep up the great work!
All I've seen of this is what you just showed us right now, and I'm already tired of it. How you watched an hour and a half of this, at any speed, is a damn miracle.
As the first kind of 'Disturbing' media to accidentally stumbled upon I can see how people were freaked out by this after experiencing more this is like meh
I think this kind of movie is also good clickbait for TikTok because it’s not a heavy duty film actually seriously and thoughtfully dealing with serious concepts that might be tough to sit through or leave people with lingering heavy mood. The shock-jock of it all will get a reaction out of people, but in a way that leads to a loud algorithm happy comment section of ppl saying ‘wtf’ instead of putting a damper on the doomscrolling mood
Supposedly, this was intended as a surreal comedy. The creator was actually surprised when people took it seriously as a horror movie. Or so I heard through Diamanda Hagan. Shout out.
Actually that is not exactly true. Only Tainted Milk was supposed to be a surreal dark comedy but Jimmy was on heavy drugs that this was the end result. And once he saw the reception, that's where he'd go for the rest of the anthology.
Going into this, i watched this a while ago and it's so shit, can't wait to see what gg feels LMAO Yep same experience, thought it was super boring and dumb and had to put it on 2x speed lol.
i watched this movie as a sophomore in high school. i remember being shaken up by the subject matter at the time, but also similarly recognizing it was nothing more than a college student making something edgy for the sake of it. even if ur just looking for something fucked up and disturbing to watch, there are so many better choices than this.

This is either a troll movie, someone highly unusual sexual desires, that’s all I got.
I wonder if this means you'll cover shojo tsubaki in the future. I guess not until tiktok starts recommending it.
"This anime is so DISTURBING it got BANNED from it's home country"
I recall another reviewer who covered it stated the creator of the film meant for it to be funny, not disturbing. Which is honestly more disturbing than the film itself.
Fun fact: this movie was supposed to be a comedy film but the guy who made this instead because he was on drugs
I would love for you to do a review on Tucker and Dale Vs Evil. Its not disturbing or anything, its just often overlooked, its my good to sleeper flick people haven't seen
Dude I love that movie! Shame they took it off Netfilx forever ago.
Mista GG said “we ain’t playin the demonizing game today…” I have never seen such a censored video on this channel lmao - I feel you. I don’t mind taking your word for it GG- we trust you
Reading the plot synopsis and watching the first 30 minutes, this shit feels like something a 15 year old edgelord would find "disturbing".
Pretty sure a 15 year old edgelord would find this funny, isn’t that the point of being an edgelord?
"Prank em, Labby!"
“You already” *pants* “know it”
foul
That ad transition was so good!
"there's a new horror movie on netflix that some ppl are saying is the scariest thing they've ever seen"
yeah you hear this about any new horror movie from Netflix at least once a month. at this point can ppl on tt watch anything? lmao
Why do ppl always go to Netflix for horror? Why not Shudder?
@@Darek_B52 maybe bc Netflix is more popular and accessable? idk
I just watched you watch this and it felt long as hell to me 😭 I was so shocked when you said you were only 30 minutes in lmao. This movie seems like a slog
Ah. Tik tok recommendations, the caviar of film knowledge
This movie looks like those shows u dont see till late past midnight watching adult swim.
That was awesome. Such peak cinema! Cant believe you took the time out of your busy content schedule to bring us this masterpiece. MistaGG, youve outdone yourself yet again!
(Youre fantastic bro *Fist bumps*)
God I remember watching this movie years ago. Truly a “wtf did I just watch?” movie.
So does this kid wear french fries in his baseball cap?
Sponsor song is an absolute bop as always of course 🔥🔥
I read somewhere that one person made it, one very sick and twisted individual.
People can try to replicate the absurdity of Xavier renegade angel and fail every time so sad 😂
Going into this, i watched this a while ago and it's so shit, can't wait to see what gg feels LMAO
Yep same experience, thought it was super boring and dumb and had to put it on 2x speed lol.
i watched this movie as a sophomore in high school. i remember being shaken up by the subject matter at the time, but also similarly recognizing it was nothing more than a college student making something edgy for the sake of it. even if ur just looking for something fucked up and disturbing to watch, there are so many better choices than this.
GG riffing bad/bizarre horror films on the go will never get old.
Goddamn it, I recognized that eye thing from the thumbnail. This movie tried so hard to be provocative and edgy that it was just mundane
I was vibing so hard to the song that I legit forgot it was a Raid ad for a sec. Cheers, GG.
nah uve just unlocked a deep memory i saw this as a kid and i thought id made it up omfg
This would be a wild watch while high
You wanna talk "disturbing" animated movie.
SAUSAGE PARTY.
Thats it. Nothing tops that.
But the lead singer of sod is in it
