Another trick to prevent any bleeding is after you stencil off with fine line tape you can mix up some base clear and spray over that tape to seal the edges since candy bleeds under tape so easily
Your using urethane base. If you are worried about those high spots showing through why not shoot 2K High Build Primer on first? That is what I do. You can put it right over the original paint after you scuff it with 320grit no problem. Will fill any of those questionable areas. Then mix some urethane reducer with that primer to make it a sealer and give it a coat for smooth surface to to put that metallic ground coat for under your candy
Looks sick awesome work! Will be easy to spot you out there with the custom lid.
Great video, gave me some inspiration to try one of my old helmets.
Dude amazing work!

Thanks so much for the kind tips. I have never used base clear yet is that like an intercoat clear or more on the sealer side ?
Thanks
Great job brother. Can I ask you how did you paint the rubber rim at the bottom of the helmet.
I used adheasion promoter and sealer then base coat silver. TBH if you use createx wicked color and 4030 in the mix it should as hear

Hi look awsome! Can i ask you how to get the mouthpiece off. I can’t get it.
Just pry the side with small flat screwdriver
Where did you get the stencil stickers?
I had a roll of the blue mask and had decal guy cut them out but you can use a cricket or something too
