If it had the orignal steering wheel it would have been an 10/10 imho. Now i'd say it's a 9,9/10. Just amazing you can still get one in this state. Just hope the new owner will keep it as clean.
You know, I agree with you completely. I would prefer the stock steering wheel considering how great the car is. Though at least they picked an excellent aftermarket unit so they don't lose too much.

Remember when Honda's made some badass cars in the 90's everyone wanted? Now what do they make...hmmmm I guess they did bring a civic Type R to the states finally but common, Honda has been a snorefest.
They did bring back the NSX twice. And I liked the Acura TSX/Honda Accord CL.
The new NSX and CTR are loaded with all this crap they put in cars nowadays.
CTR = 3111 pounds
ITR = 2600 pounds
Speed academy did a cool comparison between the two and the CTR is definitely a better car in a lot of ways, however the integra is more fun to drive. Their new cars are just not as fun to drive.

We cannot making cars in the past or rarely because the regulations of safety,emissions blah blah.But hey at least they still making ssportscar or supercars because in the future they will not make that again.The new nsx will discontinued and become last attempt for honda to make supercars again,because in future all will electric and it's inevitable.So even you said now it's crap well we don't know maybe the value will hold in future.Mark my words.We hate it,not appreciated in short term when its still a new car but in 20 years ahead,I bet people will appreciated it and the value still high.

Honda only "hand built" this 96spec b18c from late 1995 to mid 1996. Later versions used a machine porting process that was not able to be replicated by hand in it's quality.

C Swiss they still did some hand assembly of the engine. For example, the connecting rod bolts were torqued by a person also using a micrometer to measure correct bolt stretch. Each engine's pistons were hand selected to be a set based on their weight, to be extremely closely matched.
C Swiss actually it's the Opposite of what your saying. Honda switched to machine based valve seats and ports grinding because that process was more Precise, and cost effective for them.

Just to be picky. That spoiler is from a Si/SiRG, not Type R. Those H decals on the guards /fenders aren't stock. Also red Recaros were only an option for the DC2, DB8 was black only. Easy to swap though.

wow, a stock stereo too! I really hope this car goes to BC I would love to check it out. I would suggest to the owner to replace timing belt since you didn't mention it, and also get the car undercoated right away. also gotta say this car is super clean.

nice car, tidy example. FYI - this db8r is missing the original rear spoiler (factory size is a little higher), it appears to have a normal si/siR spoiler. fender stickers are not factory, also all db8r came factory with black recaro front seats. Yes, they don't come with clocks factory, but have a plug at the back behind the factory "integra" panel for you to plug in a si/sir clock.
I spoke about the spoiler on the video I shot today for our other channel (Let's Drive Japan) and I mentioned that I thought that there was an option for the spoiler to take the tall one or the short one.
based off listening to that Honda engine if it was me I'd change the Oil and use a genuine honda filter. follow that up with a Valve adjustment when the motor is Cold to the touch.
Hi i have a ukdm spec integra type r with very low genuine milage but it does not has the original engine it has the japan version engine B18c does it affect the cost of the car ?
The sad part is it doesn't have an ITR sedan spoiler it has the SI VTEC / sir-g

+PacificCoastAuto I have seen a hand full of 4 door base integras but, they seem to be dropped after 1-2 years bad sales? Most of them are rotted out by now. (Toronto)
The 4 doors were available in canada. Not sure on the US. They are however exceedingly rare. Even compared to the standard Integra.

i hear no one ever mention that lil button (or sensor) like i see on the driver door of my 1998 Honda integra DC1. it makes me think keyless entry is nothing new compared to how they boast that nowadays. I dont see it on this one tho. Mine is coupe.

I used to be a proud owner of a 2001 Acura Integra Type-R 2door coupe in nighthawk black that was repainted to championship White along with the front end jdm conversion with HIDs. Such great memories, so sick it's going to Canada...

How can I find the Japanese registration number of my JDM import.
Never seen one with headlights like that here in Canada, they all have the silly bug-eye look. Did they ever sell them with this headlight in North America?
This headlight is the JDM one for the later model Integras. Here in Japan we also had the quad round headlights but only briefly and never for the Type R. Many people in Canada will convert the headlights to the JDM ones because it looks great.

I own a jdm Honda ascot innova CB3 only sold at Honda primo , live in Canada and as far as I knew it's the only one here and I'd like to see another one lol , need parts etc , she's my daily it's similar to the Europen cc7 accord same rear end different front so it also has a sistercar the rover 623 , these all came with a factory h23 5 speed si options , my Innova has a f22a6 swapped original motor was a f20b , thought I'd share maybe someone has seen one before

Funny thing. At the moment we can't sell to people in Japan because of how our company is set up as an exporter. While it is legal for us to do so we would lose money on each sale.

PacificCoastAuto yes its true been covered before with the extra wheel base helps with grip without making the rear loose
it must be true, cos lots of 4door cars have a stiffer shell than 2door (for example 4dr golf3gti was stiffer than 2dr), and longer wheel base is easier to handle and get corrected in most cases (just like 309gti handled better than 205gti due to longer wheelbase and a better chassis balance)..well dc2 maybe has a better weight balance, but dc8 has credibly a stiffer body and longer wheelbase helps with a grip, so it shouldn't be any worse at cornering than dc2 (if not better:/), but surely easier corrected when losing grip..so it's hard to tell which one is better..but as i'm a fan of sedans, so i'd always choose a 4dr version having in mind daily driving and practicality..
yes it does handle a lot batter. And I say that from personal experience. When I was in my eary 20's a friend of mines had one here in Jamaica and it handled like it was on rails. it corners so damn flat. It was on Tein coil overs too. I prefer it to the DC2. But i'm settling for a DC2 as the few DB8's still running in the country, no one wants to sell them. They are too rear.

I knew there were 4 door Integras. But I didn"t know there was a 4 door Type-R.
it is a nicer handling car than the DC2. I speak from experience as we had a lot of the 99 model DB8s hear in Jamaica.
I'd take the parts off of that and transplant them into my DB7 4 door LS.

Import a DC2/DB8 to Ireland? Ireland has the cheapest prices on the planet for these. Crazy insurance premiums(if you can even get insured on one) have effectively killed the market for the JDM stuff here. You'd be lucky to sell one for much more than 4-5000 euro(about the same in US dollars). Any higher priced examples just sit in the classifieds not selling. Even the four grand ones are a hard sell. So many end up being broken for parts because of this.
Now maybe if it was a one off "lifetime car" buy I could see it and having perused/stalked :) this channel they have some lovely examples of all sorts of JDM beauties, but on top of all the insurance stuff, the import tax(es) would hurt.

It is being imported to Canada, if the importer is doing to re-sell then it will probably come up in autotrader or something like that but usually the re-sellers don't permit these videos to go up. If the importer is doing it for personal use I doubt this car will be sold for a long time it's so nice, and that would be my guess.
