Euro R is a designation, paying homage to the European only Accord Type R. This car came as standard with everything that only the type R models got.
Redtop Engine (k20A), 6 speed transmission with LSD, Momo Steering wheel, Recaro seats all round, custom gearknob for only Euro Rs.
This is no ordinary Accord, it is a fully deserving member of Type R family.
Recipe to make the CL7R as fast as all the type R cars: Stiffer suspension, stronger brakes, higher final drive, and your good to go!
Happy purchaser of this car here. Will be my first K series after owning my DC2 and my current EF racecar. Gonna be glad to be back in a Honda after trying Subaru for a couple of years. Nothing as exciting as a Honda and FWD 😎 thanks Derek and Mike for the awesome service and including my requests in the report, need to drive the GFs mom in this car so can't be too loud!!
Subaru? Blasphemy!!!
Jason Cheng hello can I car like this get ship to Ontario Canada and how much would it cost
@@876yes6 probably about $11k all in
How is the cl7 after having owned the dc2? I am torn between cl7 and dc2\dc5
@@golf1diesel I have drive all 3 and depends what you want. If you want the ultimate weekend car that holds value then DC2 is your best bet. If you want to build the ultimate track car then DC2/DC5 are good options. For a daily car, the CL7 is awesome, just not as quick and sharp (without mods). That being said they are all great cars and you'd probably enjoy any of them!
Finally after so many years checking this channel I lived to see the Best of all. Thank you . WHO ever bought this car is such a lucky person. The holly Grail
Buyer of the car here! Am excited to finally own a K series for sure.
@@jasoncheng2735 How are you liking your Euro R? I'm seriously considering one.
@@MrPTManning drives nice and smooth! Not that fast stock though, can definitely feel the car's weight even with the k20a. Amazing gas mileage though, city driving I was getting around 10km/L.
@@jasoncheng2735 nice purchase bro
@@jasoncheng2735 if you want to sell. Shoot me a message!
Really nice cars..... I've got one here in NZ, mines done 230000k now and still going strong, the recaro interior is really nice in these
One of the best countries for gearheads. You guys can import just about anything!
Garage Twentynine are they comfy??
@@balancemode4112 yep really comfortable, I've still got the stock suspension at the moment, I'm a bit hesitant on changing to adjustable coilovers but I'd like to do some weekend track days sometime

I own a TSX and these cars are a hidden gem since most people always pay attention to RSX and Civics, love it. My car has 240K and no problem since I bought the car brand new.
Thank you for sharing this! Please take care with all families there in Japan🗾 since Coronavirus had spread already.... Best Wishes from Western🇨🇦
She really looks good woow
I can't wait, just bought one of these in Japan today. Should be in Canada in 6 weeks or so. But it will be bittersweet as im going to sell my EP3 Civic type R - which i absolutely love.
I want to get rid of my fn2 for one..I feel you..
golf1diesel
Tough choices ahead my friend!
Update, picked up my car last week. Really enjoyed the drive home - totally different feel to the EP3 type R but still a type R at heart. Good luck!
@@seatoskyadventures6130 Can't really sleep. Thanks for your kind words.
Congrats for your purchase. How did it feel 'different' ?
Have you driven a DC5 or dc2 ? Cause initially was going for one of these but they got so expensive now. Just want a good jdm Honda..
golf1diesel
Actually my coworker imported a DC5 type R from Japan as well and they arrived at the same time.
I’ve driven both DC2 and DC5’s fairly extensively - I like the DC5 a lot more than the DC2, K20A is the best of the NA Type R motors in my opinion. DC5 is as rowdy as the EP3, both are way lighter, noisier, shorter geared and more “race ready” than the Accord Euro R. But the JDM Euro R is an amazing 4 door and is surprisingly fast too. Just a more “relaxed” Type R in my opinion
@@seatoskyadventures6130 But my fn2 already has a k20 in it,well not the jdm k20a. I thought you would of enjoyed the rawness of the b18c engine and the feel of the dc2 more. Spoon's boss said the best platform for modifications is the dc2 and he rated even the cl7 higher since it has double wishbones both front and back. What do you think about this?
I got a 2006 cl7 I would to get a euro r version.. they are awesome
Very nice, I very nearly bought one of these before settling on a BH5 GT-B.
K20's are bullet proof, not too fussy on oil and will run on standard 95 Unleaded. A nice, easy fast car to live with daily!
I considered one of these AFTER I sold my BH5 ;-)
This is not a normal k20 buddy, it doesnt run with ron95. Only 97 minimum
hoho yezza The JDM is designed to run on 97 yes, though it shouldn't damage anything engine wise running it on lower octanes, just a little less power.
Still pretty much the exact same K20 engine with only a few small changes for performance.
@@R33Racer no bro, its only meant for 97 min. I know because i own one. If you go lower, u can hear a very bad knocking from the engine. All the R's are high compression engine, its not suited for lower Ron's
@@hemri3432 my K20Z4 didn't complain on 95,but mapped it for 98 when had the CAI done
Great car, I have one here in NZ on of buddyclub p1's with Cusco suspension, skunk 2 exhaust, puts a smile on my face every time I drive it
Love these cars so much. My tsx is euro swapped!
We have a 2007 TSX. It's red and it runs very well. It has what yours likely has, a 2.4L I4. Apparently 205hp. Take care all!
Would have been better to swap just the top half...the R head on the tsx 2.4 lump would be amazing
Paul Stevens arguably basic boot ons and a tune you could push over 220 or make about the same hp as the type r motor
Rick Clark yup, love my k24a
In South Africa we only got the Type S k24z3 but honestly i prefer the Type S over the The Euro R the only thing i would change is the Type S gearbox with that of a type R
Euro R
Not Type R.
Thats Not orginal suspension. It's been lowered.
The Civic you were thinking off is the Ep3..that one got the cheap suspension
Living up to your username. Haha
@@chr1sl4i well.. I love Cars from All brands. It's just an 20 year old Nick name Iv gotten haha 🙈 😁
Its a type S in Europe, correct me if i am wrong.
@@JezPeRR na bro its a euro r with a k20 engine. Type s is autimatic and it comes with a k24. 5 speed while the euro r is a 6 speed Manual.
@@jscarter600 The 2.4 type S comes with 6 speed.
The 2.0 type S is the one with 5 speed
Looks just like my tsx
Yes, it does but.... it is over 120kg lighter than the Accord CL9 or TSX CL9. It is like the DC5 Type R looks just like the RSX Type S. But wait.. there is more!!
@@maxxibro so its not really the same car?
@@MrWalker1000 just like bmw m3 vs 330i/340i
It's not a Type-R, it's a Euro-R! 6 gen CH1 was the only Type-R Accord and CL1 was Euro-R and this CL7 both JDM only.
My 06 TSX has a 2.4 liter engine rated at 205 hp. Still strong at 225k.
I've got one here in NZ, the vtec is pretty wizzy they can beat any other stock japanese 4 cylinder pretty much.
I have an 05 TSX manual. Would be cool to drive this and see how it is.
Not that much diffrent actually..
This one have LSD. our TSX has none. this is also lighter because it doesnt have the luxury options like the TSX have.
I got 2007 type s with type r kit on it from factory really makes car stand out I think so anyway makes car look more aggressive on road
Just change to type r gearbox and you have a better car than the Euro R
It looks just right
The TSX gauge cluster looks much better
beauty. i just bought a CL9 automatic though .
All accords are good reliable cars unfortunately your one does not have the r engine and associating parts. But there are plenty aftermarket parts to build your one to r spec. You could even order original Honda Accord euro R oem parts to build your one.
i wanna see the CL7 Euro R vs the CL9 Acura TSX
Amazing car!
i love my 05 TSX, deffinetly the pinnicle of honda/acura's simplicity and quality like you said, but 'm jealous the Euro r's got recaro seats. Although they always end up turning green for some reason and they don't hold up very well compared to the leather in the tsx
KappaCow 07 acura tl race me bro! 😉👍
M.A.G.A (make . acura. Great. Again) lol
Mikel lol you would definitely win that race, I’m
Hoping to find an 07-08 TL type S for my next car, although they’re almost impossible to find low miles and 6-speed
KappaCow I do broker deals on vehicles if you can get cash! My auction site has what you want for $7000 and below from 92,000 to 150,000 miles! I have a finace company that would finace your vehicle with a low down payment lmk bro I get the best deals
Cheers from Alabama!
They really should have based the R on the 2.4 lump, would have been a beast
This is far better. Rides better quicker comfortable
@@ransackmaori5725 nah they should have done the 3.0 V6 but done a dohc and tot 280 hp and 280 ft lbs. That would have e been awesome
@@chrishuber8930 doing so would have brought a heavier nose as well and more understeer, I have one and they are actually rapid, the gearing suits the engine very well to allow it to keep up with other cars that may have a slight more power
@@antwonstubbs1246 the 6 speed manual is good but the torque is lacking big time. You'd be surprised that 3.0 v6 only weighs about 100 lbs more. Wouldn't affect it much at all. Look at the 3.0 v6 accord was the same size as the tsx. The accord handles great with the small v6
@@chrishuber8930 yeah they could do with more toque, that's why popular mod for them is k24 block with the k20 head, the it becomes a rocket ship
It’s a nice car but I feel like u could have definitely picked up a much cleaner one from auction. This was is like a 6 out of 10
should i get a 03 euro r cl7 in 2022?
how did you import it and what are the issues?
is a 02 cl7 euro r worth it in 2022?
can these be imported to australia?
Please shoot the W124 wagon in the background!!
What did this sell for ?
Could you check how much for a Toyota aristo for uk?
Looks just like the Acura TSX
On the outside it does, but beneath the skin there is more to it...
It has the K20A engine producing 220bhp, an LSD, 6-speed manual and Recaro seats for a start, as well as being lighter etc.
It is only an acura in the united states, everywhere else is a honda accord.
@@VictorNUribe Accord for Europe and Japan. Tsx for Usa
Next vehicle
I thought I was the only one who thinks that until this generation Honda was great (like Audi until the actual generation) it were elegant yet simple, it always gives me an impression of good proportions and style with an reasonable displacement/power ratio, the next generations are a little too much for me. I own an American Accord V6 2006 and boi if I love it, call me an Honda fanboy but that car it's powerful, elegant, "economical" and reliable, my friends have Thunderbird, Opel Corsa and Astra, VW Jetta and yet I never ever been let down like them.
I know it's an kind of an downgrade but also I want an Civic SI with the style of the Japanese ones and make it an track car.
Superb car.. i own one
Hehee
Nice car i i wish i have a cl7 euro r instead of 20EL
Speedometer goes only to 180km/h? How and why 😟
Japan import
So nice
Nice!
Yeah. I have a cu2 accord euro. And i bought a 5 siries bmw. I switched back to my accord. Bmw feels like a tank. But i thought i bought a car. Honda is a car indeed...
Realy not picking that I live in Massachusetts lmfaoo car dont look thya clean round here send it to me I'd love it to go along with my six speed tsx aspec
Bigger version of the fd2 r IM0👍
How much does it cost to ship to the us west coast on average?
NObaalBear(readitfast) 3000

🤣
This is how the stock Engine sounds with just a pod filter!
Euro R CL7
ruclips.net/video/v0ZDlwxUa7o/видео.html
CL7 chassis code has 2.0 liter engine and single exhaust from the factory. CL9 chassis code has 2.4 liter engine and dual exhaust from the factory. All the North American TSX are CL9 chassis code. It sucks that it’s missing the front oem window visors cause those are really good quality ones
It’s a nice car but I feel like u could have definitely picked up a much cleaner one from auction. This was is like a 6 out of 10
Honda Accord CL1 Euro R >>> m.ruclips.net/video/pVm6Zjbk8vA/видео.html
How much for one of those type R's?
Euro R
Not Type R
Ok, how much for the euro r then?
In NZ could range from 8k to 20k depending on the km and condition.
If insurance wasn't 7k/yr in Ontario, I would definitely like to get one. For whatever reason, the TSX in North America, many used models have blown engines which is a shame.
Never heard about blown engine. I have 290k on my TSX2007
@@milkovas556 You see countless used 1st Generation TSX with engine and body kilometers driven. Of course, its the 2.2 litre engine and I suspect a lot of people here abuse the cars. But in looking for used cars I see many that are on the 2nd engine around here.
Owners must be trying to boost them like crazy with stock internals if they are blowing these engines. They're timing chain and have been around for decades
@@bvedant My mistake, its the 2.4 K24A4, not 2.2. All the same, I've heard about countless issues of the chain jumping to simply blowing the heads. They are good cars if you take care of them but again in my area in Central Ontario, a good chunk of people run them hard.
This is not the tsx..
I might move to Canada for the 15yrs import compare to the 25 here 😂

Its the same thing and acura doesn't exists in japan
225 bhp. Same engine as Honda FD2 type R Civic
220ps. The FD2 motor is an evolution of this one. Very similar but the FD2 gets the updated 225ps version.
Dan Bloxham. They are the same engines, no difference.
They are very similar but still different. For starters the CL7 has an RBC intake manifold where the FD2 has the RRC. Few internal differences too. I've got the original documents and sales brochure from my CL7 in front of me. My good friend round the corner has an FD2 and it's definitely different albeit very similar.
Dan Bloxham A brochure, what does a brochure tell you?..,
The sales brochure has all the cars information in it that's also easy to search online. It is a different spec to the FD2. 5 less ps, 9 less nm of torque and 11.5:1 vs 11.7:1 compression that the FD2 has. If you believe it or not it doesn't change the fact they are different.
The tsx is a type r k24 dtune from factory Honda little secret 😁
wing 0 k20 head, bolt on and a tune with type r final drive 😎😎😎
you really think its faster than an evo on track??
I think he's joking... no way a FWD executive compact is faster than a purpose-built sports car
@@bvedant Trust me those Euro r could get nasty. Just with some minor upgrades.
@@bvedant this definitely can be depending on the track..
@@ransackmaori5725 please do elaborate. Because I cannot see it at all.
@@bvedant track being one with little straights more bends and tight turns this will definitely put up a battle. With a little tune it would eat it.
