Derren Brown is a British mentalist, illusionist and author. Since his television debut with Derren Brown: Mind Control in 2000 he’s produced multiple series and specials, winning two Laurence Olivier Awards. Derren doesn’t claim to possess any supernatural powers and his acts are often designed to expose the methods of those who do. He often claims his impossible effects are merely achieved through "magic, suggestion, psychology, misdirection, and showmanship".

I was hoping that Derren would upload a new video, and lo and behold he has. He must have read my mind!
He does similar things all the time. first he has to get the information from the guy with the hat. probably in a different sequence he volunteers to be hypnotized and he learns the password. For example, he does this i a different episode where he hypnotizes someone, opens their wallet, learns something, then pretends later to magically find that out ...
Anyway, then he will use all sorts of suggestion to the other girl, props, other things that she's not aware of ... signs on the wall, people talking near her so she overhears certain word queues ...
Then he brings the two together seemingly at random, and the act takes place

@BenMoss01 But he'd still have to know _what_ to suggest. Unless the guy's password wasn't songbird at all, and he just made him believe it was (he did do something similar with Simon Pegg)...
Anyone got a theory how it's done?
