Imagine actually having a shot at winning La Vuelta 4 years in a row. Insanity. Vamos Rogla! :)
but also feels like he crashes out of the tour every year ^^
@@rokutaro "Feels like" is right. He doesn't actually. He was pretty upright in 2018 and 2020 and he went to the Giro in 2019.
Imagine winning a race where the two best riders in the world not even bother to show up.
@@Gufolicious Who are the two best riders in the world?
Primoz stick to Vuelta, Pogi can take the Tour. Then Slovenia has two shirts. You can still compete at UCI WC or Tour de Slovenia :)
Gotta admit, was quite happy when Primoz sprinted for the bonus seconds.
It’s the post win interviews with Roglic I’ve missed the most. What a g
Primoz has to be the hot favorite after today… many people did question marks behind his form due to his lack of preparation, but this man is a real fighter and seems to proof them all wrong. Feeling very happy for him after another disappointing tour (for him, not for the team) tho
Yeah i feel like he’s saving energy for the GC stages coming up. Never count Primoz out! Hope he stays on the bike tho🙃
If he doesn't crash....🙄
The ground may have something to say about that.
The 'lack of preparation' will show in the last week...If Primoz manages to stay on the bike 🚲.
It's a long Vuelta, but that would be stupendous to see
Roglic and Vuelta: Never ending love story
In the last climb the bonus seconds and the kom points where in the same gate, but Alaphilippe and Roglic got confused with the first one, which was the 15km to finish gate
Great spot 👌
Though I think the jury might have took the first gate. We don't see the line on the ground, but I think the Bahrain rider was within the top 3 at that point, but they didn't place him (Rogla, Alaf, Vine got points/boni)
I don’t think so, it’s like giving bonus seconds in the flamme rouge. Only top3 get bonus seconds and I think Vine got 3rd there
Oh how much I missed Rogla and his interviews
Roglic becomes more and more likeable every year. I find myself rooting for him so often these days.
A cause de sa malchance légendaire.
Roglic, so inspirational, man
You really gotta feel bad for pedersen with 3 stages in a row in 2nd place.
What a beast though today.. finishing ahead of every climber except for one
Comme Van Aert sur le Tour.
Your commentary is more interesting and technical than the drivel I have to endure on tv. Thanks for this
Inside of you there are two wolves; Froglic and Rojoglic
Pat you should pin this tweet mate. Froglic had me in tears a few days ago, and ROJOGLIC (preferably with a rolled R) is the move for red jersey Roglic. Well done Lennie Nelson 😂👍
Great summary Pat - that final uphill finish was especially well covered.
I dont know, but there is something about roglic... I really like that guy.
I really like these summaries, thank you! Keep up the great work.
Great recap on the stage! better than most TV stations :)
Yess, Rog!
Love the short summaries LR, I can get my fix before the day starts 🇦🇺 👍
Thank you for those amazing recaps!
Thank you very much!
Excellent analysis. 👍
very well ridden by rodlic, great experience & patience
Gran resumen. Bien explicado. Viva La Vuelta!!
No one takes bonus seconds away from Roglic!
Jeez, if this is what he can do 3 weeks after fracturing a vertebrae, the others are in serious trouble. It’s crazy recover from an injury that bad in the space of 3 weeks, no?
Its not confirmed what exactly the injury was so nobody knows 😅
Seems like jumbo wanna have the red jersey for the entire Vuelta
I think they'll probably give it away in some further stage to a non threatening breakaway rider
Probably tomorrow!
Sounds like a tactical mistake, why have that pressure on your domestiques the whole Vuelta?
@@MarvinWestmaas I think it's like the above comments said, they'll let some breakaway rider take it. Never hurts to nab a few bonus seconds on your gc rivals in a race parcours as mild (by these guys standards) as this one.
Incredible performance by Mads Pedersen! The top 10 on the stage is full of GC guys and climbers and then there's Pedersen 😅
Super interesting to see how Patrick Lefevere’s two top team leaders fare together in this vuelta. They both are the future focus of the team at current and will be interesting what if any results they produce.
Rogliç looks like a killer this stage. Thanks.
Looked like P Rog was breathing with his mouth closed during that sprint.
Like on turini
Thx lr
Gonna miss Froglic :(
With Serry and Devenyns I get why they got dropped (sneaky extra “rest day” to be good in the next stages) but Ajusso and Higuita should be there
Yeah, and neither of them might be good at the sudden accelerations/steep sections? Considering Masnada finished in the group of the sprinters, either something is wrong with him or he was meant to lose time and save himself.
First thing i thought when i saw the finish earlier was Ellissonde going a bit too hard for Mads :(
Looking good towards the pointjersey for Mads P to good weather to win a stage?
Wonder if Moviestar is Awakning on hometurf really need points for rankning
Enri Mas Owes a Lot to fans.
Good to see Primoz back and healthy
Ineos is stacked with 5 riders in the top 8. Would love to see a battle the entire tour between IGD and TJV
That's the timetrial effect
Pedersen is so good at getting 2nd or 3rd. There always seems to be someone just that little bit more specialized around him.
he is the new Van Aert 😂
But Mads Pedersen was the only sprinter present at the end.
Well, he's actually much more than a sprinter.
PrimDawg!
Bennett was riding a soft/flat tyre for the intermediate
Let’s enjoy those crazy descents until the UCI speed limit of 25 km/h comes into effect in 2023.
That's called, "making something up to be mad about"
Get used to seeing Primoz in red
Remco should be called "The Postman" because he always sends it.
After Froglic comes Rotlic. Vamos!
Ok, Alaphilippe had his shot and failed hard. Now in the roll as superdomestic for Evenepoel.
Froglic is back 🐸
Why watch live broadcast, when you get everything packed in less than 10 Minutes ;-)
Kuss in Rosa tomorrow? 😂
So who will be the next Jumbo rider in red tomorrow? XD
Roglic for the next few weeks
Kuss deserves it next and he is only 13 seconds down on GC.
@@joelhanson6351 yeah but Roglic is not going to waste 13 seconds to let the red jersey to Kuss. That would not make sense
Great recap - such a shame to see the Spanish don’t show up in the same numbers as the French. Also, what’s up with those narrow roads? Surely an accident waiting to happen.
Population density in each country is a key factor to take into account here. Another key factor is the stage happening on a weekend or not.
I loooove big crowds, especially when they go nuts. But TdF is during summer vacations. It makes a huge difference.
could pedersen have let go the wheel of ellisonde? maybe chasing roglic, who would be chasing ellisonde could have been better for him. idk.
How was that a technical descent? It was extremely wide with pedaled sections and simple lines through the corners. I must be going mad.
Well he had a good decent but does not have the legs to beat Prizmo and Jumbo!! But you can not out ride your team if you want them to help ya!!
Why is roglic knuckling the bahrain swanny at the end of the stage?
;)
REDLIC is back...
I hope Pedersen is going to develop into a more all around rider
Is it still permitted to throw their water bottle in the middle of nowhere ? Like at 0:56, will someone pick it ?
Ilan Van Wilder descending infront not Evenepoel.
he's gonna unwear this jersey in a couple of days and wear it again.. just to prove he's the King of Spain
Does nobody realize that that was not Evenepoel?
Correct it was Van Wilder.
Did you say "Froglic" ;)
Yes because he was in the green points jersey earlier in the race and it's a running joke
@@King_Ears think it's more of a cycling joke tbh
The discord link in the description has expired, would like to join the group but currently not possible!
Great recap as always
Remco isn't stage racer. Roglic will win 💪💪💪
Evenepoel could have won the stage if he hadn‘t waited for Alaphillipee Who simply did not have the legs today
Exactly. I watched the last kilometer a few times. I couldn't find Evenepoel within the first 30 riders when they were half a kilometer from the finish. Still finished eight. Must have flown uphill
Hayter and his legendary consistency in crap positioning
Love Primoz, but boy, Mads Pedersen deserved the win today.
lol right "deserved" XD you sound like those people that cried when Roglic didn't "gift" Mader a stage win in Paris-Nice
@@AshenWednesday I am sorry if you understood it like that. That was not my intention.
And I think you are right - deserved, was not the right word for me to use.
There is normally no gifts in cycling, which is totally fair. Keep trying and keep losing is the beaty of cycling.
Mads Pedersen didn't deserve anything.
It would have been so cool though if he got the win, cause he rode amazing and showed a new style. Being a heavier sprint like rider, I was so impressed with him and his team on this steep finish. Top 20 for the stage was all GC folks and climbers - and then Pedersen.
Like seeing an ostrich suddenly take off and fly 🙂
QST les miserables. i feel bad for them almost...
Let's not make out Remco is a good descender
He actually is, just not great at reacting to others making a weird decision in a descend and last year he had some lingering mental trauma from his Lombardy fall, which he worked on. Before his Lombardy fall he actually was considered a good descender, he was just bad for a few months and people only seem to remember that.
@@MDP1702 I do remember that. He isn't right now. He was never exceptional to begin with.
@@philsmtbs2956 If you call him a bad descender, I guess you haven't seen him descend since last year. I am not saying he's a super great descender like Mohoric, Nibali, ... no one has claimed that, but he is a good descender regardless and definitely not a bad one.
@@philsmtbs2956 He's in no way a bad descender. That's reserved for the likes of Brandon McNullty and Zakarin.
Remco fanboyz immediately on tilt 🙄
FIRST
Remco such a great rider… such a bad teammate. Don’t think he helps QST at all. Always just doing wtf he likes!
He is still very young, it's also something he has to develop.
why should he help quickstep when he is their main leader? + Van wilder had a perfect position but alaphilippe just couldn't follow him ...
He is a bad teammate? I don't think you actually followed his races close enough. He even often helps his teammates to his detriment, like doing sprint lead-outs as GC leader/going for GC.
As for this vuelta, he is their main leader by far, the only way to be a bad teammate here is not doing his best, which he clearly is doing. Just maybe young and pretty inexperienced in some ways making small mistakes.
@@MDP1702 he even waited for Julian at the end instead of saving his own time,
@@tommytommy7535 I don't think Remco waited for Alaphilippe at any time, you sure you aren't confusing Evenepoel and Van Wilder?
announcer is so hard to understand, he slurs his words when going too fast.
Eh? He's awesome, the best on RUclips. I hope you're a non native English speaker...if so, I forgive you.
Sometimes, if you want t descent done well you've got to do it yourself! 😊
But Roglich - SUPERB! 💎 Here we go again? 🤔
M 🦘🏏😎
