Thank you so much for taking the time out to make this video! I’ve had my gimbal for a while now, and had no clue that there were so many custom settings within the app. Thanks again!

This is great Wai. I really enjoyed this. I've just got the SC and trying to figure it out. I have two questions for you
    1. What's pan follow and pan/tilt follow actually mean, and what is the difference between them?
    2. Is there a way to customise joystick settings? The way it is right now, when I push the joystick up the camera points up but this is so weird to me, I'm use to inverted gaming settings haha

When I double click the front button to recenter the gimbal, it is off aligned to the left. Does anyone know how to fix this. I have tried recalibrating several time but it does not fix the issue. Please help.

Thanks for the video Wai. 😉 If you put a Fuji xt3 with a SmallRig cage on the Ronin SC, is there enough space between the motor and the cage when tilting?

I understand you made this video 2 years ago. It is a great video. However, the app and the firmware has changed quite a bit and much of what you illustrate no longer coincides with what is presented in the app. Perhaps, you might consider updating your tutorial.

Hi Wai Lam, great videos... and thanks for sharing. I had been following your channel from time to time.
    a few questions :
    1) on the DJI app, after your click USER PROFILE, you will notice M1 page, with SPEED, DEAD BAND, PUSHPAN
, if you select CUSTOMISED and manually set, will it be the same with the adjustment you did on CONTROL > MOTION page ?
2)about the shutter speed for the pan, 4k30p, then we set it to 1/60 on the shutter speed
with the same frame rate 4k30p, as per your video, that means, i can set it to whatever shutter speed faster than 1/60, such as 1/125 to get the sharp image for panning?
    Thanks Wai Lam :)

Been following your X-T3 and Ronin SC series of videos and enjoy them! Could you do a QA for the pair when it comes to supported functions? (e.g. using gimbal to start video recording, whether active track/force track/motion lapse and etc. work with Android, whether they work with iPhone and etc.) Most posts aren't very clear when it comes to X-T3 and Ronin SC compatibility, and Android compatibility.
Thanks for all your awesome content!

the pan default settings are way way to fast and jerky on the ronin sc. the zhiyun crane i was using before had the same issue for up and down panning, you only had to breathe on the toggle and you got jerky fast pan ups and down. what you really should have is a gradual increase in speed, or a continual smooth pan. finally i found a video that tells me the settings i have been hoping for since i got my ronin sc, i was initially disappointed with the joystick because it was doing the same thing as the zhiyun, too fast and jerky and the slightest touch. thanks to your video , ive finally got my smooth pan. i really don't understand why the default settings are set the way they are for pans, because you don't see cinema pans doing jerky amateur pans. go figure...

thank you for the video. I noticed that you use a wide angle lens in your pans: any particular reason not to use some 32mm (50mm equivalent in 35mm) or narrower? That is particularly important when panning and setting the panning speed.

    • @WaiYingLam
      @WaiYingLam  5 лет назад +1

50mm lens will give you less distortion and will look more normal which is a very good thing. I tend to use wide angle because im creating content on youtube. It all depends on your need. Panning speed is personal preference but slow and smooth is always my goal.
