Great tutorials and shop parts prices. Just bought my wife one of these A170 W169 and the suspension & brake parts seem well constructed and easy to work on. I'm not looking forward to anything failing in the engine bay as most jobs seem to require the dropping of the engine & subframe for access.

Just a side note, but these struts have adjustable camber... as soon as the strut to knuckle bolts at the bottom are undone, it throws out the camber and needs re-aligning. Will find the lower bolt hole is the correct size for the bolt so no adjustment. But the top bolt hole on the shock absorber is larger than the bolt allowing the knuckle to move back and forth for adjustment. If the strut is put back together without an alignment carried out afterwards, the camber will be out.

In all cases where the struts are replaced the camber angle MUST be checked and corrected as necessary this is done by movement on the top securing bolt, failure to carry out this action and your tyres will either wear on the inside or outside edges dependent on whether the wheel is located at a negative or positive camber. If the camber is correct the tyre will wear evenly over the whole surface the tyre tread.

Чому не перевірив у якому стані відбійник? Я під час самостійного ремонту виявив відбійник у поганому стані, довелось замінити.
