Long term protective styles 1. Wigs/Weaves/crochets: no leave out. Wigs are best when hair is braided down underneath. 2. Cornrows: without adding anything on top (wig or crochet). 3. Box braids: better if they are bigger instead of smaller
Good points. These protective styles does help the hair grow because it helps you to retain length and though some of us don't think so, our hair is always growing. We just need to learn how to retain length.

Cornrows with synthetic hair works well. Synthetic hair wraps around your own hair.
Love the info, wish I could cornrow. My fingers get confused, I want weave but man prices keep going up. I need a good weave, tired of wigs.
Happy to help! Practice makes perfect, and I have a video up on how to cornrow as well!
Anytime I do Box braids I get so much breakage... I've stop doing them
My hair grows more whenever I braid or use crochet.
I’m beginning to feel like my hair has amazing growth when in crochet braids, but once my stylist takes it down I feel like we’re either dealing w shrinkage or breakage. I am still transitioning, but I’m not seeing much length retention.
So funny y'all r awesome!!! So I definitely a white person lol , but let me tell u I have following protective styles for a year since I decided to rock the pomador lol but with box braids my hare grow sooooooo much!! Thank God for box braids my favorite style!!!

Great Tips In this video I been growing my hair with cornrows but I want to try something different like a sew in but I don't know how to care for it. Can you do a video on how to grow natural hair underneath the sew in like moisturizing and washing natural hair with a sew in
Braids grow out my hair
I'm a lazy natural and idk how to do my hair😄 But it's never too late to learn, right?
I have crotchet box braids with cornrows
Box braids are really a hit or miss i been doing them for years😭
How do you protect your leave out while allowing it to blend in with your weave. Especially weaves that are Brazilian or Indian hair (non-natural looking weaves)
Girl i needed this!
I thought you was Riley Burruss at first.
Great informative vid Seun!✊🏿
Can i cover my hair with a scarf when I go to bed and maybe during the day because I dont really go out much so i don't make crochets over my cornrows
my mom would wear crochets all the time and her hair grew sooooooo much so i wear them sometimes and my hair has been growing 🤷🏽♀️ but i think i'm gonna switch to something else
Thank you cause this video really helps
Protective style can also work with ur natural hair
Yes!
Sis, just wanted to give you some love I‘ve been here since the beginning of your channel. You are beautiful, know so much about relaxed and afro hair, are educated about our hair and I appreciate the effort you put in your videos. And the fact that you reply to almost everyone (even annoying comments lol), kudos to you really ❤️ If you ever come to Brussels I am treating you on a waffle haha, bisousss
Thank you so much 🤗
Hey Seun. For longterm protective styles whats the longest you'd keep it in without washing and moisturizing?
Hi! 3 months is the longest I think I've gone
I love your hair and I will subscribe to u, but I just gave a question, how often do u relax your hair
4:10 that happened to me around febuary this year when i had sew ins and i ended up shaving majority of my hair. Please give tips because its growing fairly slowly.
If you can cornrow your hair right now can you still do a crochet protective hairstyle without cornrowing your hair?
I am a Muslim I cabt wear weaves . Can I do conrows or braids for 4 weeks and how do I moisturize with conrows?
Just oil or grease your scalp. And you could probably keep the cornrows in for longer
How I wished have seen this video before 😭
I am white and I have 3b curly hair and I really want it to grow, is it cultural appropriation that I do all this protective hairstyles to make it grow?? I just wanna know thankss💖
