My sister works for Goodwill and comes accross Griswold, Wagner and the vintage Lodge. She always grabs them for me so I can get her employee discount. She "Erie" #8 chicken fryer that we didn't realize had a hairling crack in it. When you slap the bottom it rings like a bell! The crack is barely visable and it retains water without leaking so I love it use it anyway, i'm just careful not to heat or cold shock it. I LOVE the weight of Griswold,... it's easier for me to handle with my back and other joint issues.
Mud sorry I missed this! Have a question. Found a Good Heath number 12 can't find anything at all about it. Like it doesn't exist? Have you ever heard of it? and if so is it worth anything? I know that they're made by Griswold. But a 12 isn't even in my book. Can't find any past sales or anything.
Good Health was a sub-brand or alternate design/branding produced by Griswold for Sears! Sears had many proprietary lines of cast iron cookware from companies (see Wagner's "Long life" skillets) and the point was basically to sell them with a higher profit margin than they would be able to sell name brand cookware.
@@handsomestone8545 You have a Good Heath number 12? And I have not been able to find a 12 on the crazy E auction sites. I've found 10s and also found a 14 witch i also didn't know that they made. The 14s are my favorites.
@@TheMudbrooker Thanks Mudbrooker! Keep up the great videos! Guess I need to get an updated book since our book is the red book. This was the second skillet that we found that wasn't in it. Found an Iron mountain number 14 that's not in it! But was able to find some information on it.
My kettle/cauldron 3 leg curved bottom logo ERIE 734 AND 7 AT the bottom with a heat ring on bottom and a ring around middle of belly and a hoop ring and T handle that's it I can't find anything on it help
I picked up a number 8 slant logo Griswold Erie, no EPU, so I’m wondering if I got a decent deal on it for $160? I also nabbed a #5 SBL Griswold smooth bottom for $45 and two heat ring one #5 for $40 and a heat ring # 3 BSR for $40. Just wondering if you feel I did alright? Thanks
@@BornIn1500 well, I may have but I own them now and they will be in my family for decades to come so I guess it is what it is? They were in perfect shape also, didn’t have to be concerned in after cleaning them up they weren’t worth anything
Dangit I missed... sorry. Was seasoning 15 that I did today.

The mystery mark with the crown is a British registry mark.

I found one of those earlier this summer! The crazy E auction site had a few listed for $350 to $400. Pretty sure they are still there.
Haven't seen a #12 they might be fairly rare. I've seen most other sizes though.

Are number 8 half skillets rare? And if so what is their value

@@gerryhenning7337 Right. It's definitely worth it. I just mean that if you're planning on selling them, it won't be for a profit.
Hey guys!
My first time ray rice
How rare is a Griswald # 4?
While they're not super rare they're scarce and in demand, so the price reflects that.
Price on # 4 Griswold 702 d
They aren't all the same. Large logo from the 30's? Or small logo? And of course condition really matters.
