Your mother was beautiful and such a beautiful soul. A REAL MAMA!!! She reminds me of myself when u asked her who her favorite kid was. Her answer has ALWAYS been my answer to my children, they are all EQUALLY loved, and it shows even in their adulthood. I am the older sibling , and yepp I fought for my little sister, as she fought for her brothers, and taught my kids the same AMEN!!! I was raised by my grandparents, my grandfather was a preacher so I was a preacher's kid. I was deprived of any music other than gospel, which lead me to the group TAKE 6. Anything that wasn't gospel was considered "the blues" to my grandmother and was not allowed. As I got older I started looking in her stereo console and found over 200 45 rpm MOTOWN records! I couldn't believe my grandmaw had hidden all of that good soul muziq from me! Her voice was anointed she sang like a bird! My great aunt also produced a gospel group in the 60's called "The Gospel-ites" We have similarities, I also took piano, they really wanted me trained in classical but because I play by ear, it was very complicated for me to learn to read notes and I quit... picked it back up later though! I love they way your mother opened the door to your successes, knowing where you come from surely helps whom you become. I pray her love, words and comfort continue to stay with you the rest of your life. I sure will make that bread puddin.. so good it won't make it past the tester.. they won't save you any😊.I cook cook! To hear her recovery story after surgery, goosebumps! I can relate I also dropped over 80lbs and my ankle surgery was a challenge during my journey, but GOD said!!! And yeah, I was hard headed😏🙄😁 My all time favorite Take 6 song is "I'm on my way" cuz...". if tha precha don't go. the deacon don't go, or even if the neighbor don't go I"ll.." I literally sang in different languages because of yawl🙌🎶 Once again, enjoyed the interview and signing off with more interesting stories, and reasons why God chose you to do what you do sir.
