Silver Swallow Miao Dao Review
"A sweeping, slender curved blade with clean elegant scabbard and precision stainless steel fittings, the "Silver Swallow" is a tribute to a long tradition of double hand long sabers starting from Da Dao of the Ming Dynasty, through various military long sabers of Qing Green Standard Army to the 20th century marital arts Miao Dao.
The dimensions of the Sliver Swallow are closer to the early Ming Dynasty Da Dao and the Qing Dynasty Green Standard army's long sabers. The thick spine cross section and smooth long handle follows the tradition of 20th century Miao Dao.
Silver Swallow will suit military style drills as documented in Ming Dynasty long saber manuals, and at the same time, equally fit for 20th century Miao Dao routines. The blade of Silver Swallow has the weight and presence for cutting practice.
Superior Heat Treatment.
Hardness: 54-55 HRC.
Blade rebounds to true after bending,
Sharpness: Most sharp at the front part of the blade. Less sharp by the hand guard for more effective blocking. Hand polish to smooth soft shine and sword sharp edge.
Fittings: Precision cast elegant stainless steel fittings.
Scabbard: Furniture grade Jichimu (Ormosia genus)
Fit and Finish: We perfected the fit and finish of our swords and the final assembly is meticulously performed by our senior craft masters. It takes a skill craftsman one whole working day to assemble our sword to a precision fit."

Funnily enough the style of the fittings resemble those of the Scott Rodell cutting jian from Hanwei. That sword I do have and love to use as well.

now cuse i cut so much a tip for the experts.. want to be the ninja cut the 12 ounce bottle if it dont move yer the "boss" cut again.. now if yer not a ninja and respect the water bottle and want the most out of its short life put some duct tape on its 4 sides.. boom you can shave it down ..
