Great Video guys and again was really great getting to see you guys at origins and for hanging out a bit with us Jeremy. I was sad to hear they had copies of this to be had at Origins and I missed it but when I saw people playing it the quality of the components were top notch and the art was fantastic on this game. This falls in my wheelhouse as well and I have mine preordered from MM and cant wait to get my hands on it. This video only solidified it for me. Keep up the videos coming guys!
Guys, thanks again for more great content. Can I humbly request that when reviewing a game, if at all possible, can you please comment on the game’s scaleability over different player counts. I play mainly 2P with my wife and as such its always good to know how well a particular game plays at that player count. I love the look of Coimbra but I have heard that Lorenzo is not a great 2P game - given the similarity in dice drafting mechanisms, perhaps this may be a negative for the 2P community?
For me the visual impact is too high. It looks like a crayon factory exploded - with so many bright colors all over the place. Hard to know if that is worse in pics/video and less so in person. I'm sure I will enjoy this if I get to play it. But I already have Marco Polo & expansion, Lorenzo & expansion, and Grand Austria (expansion in the works); do I really need to spend the money to add this to my collection? I'm not convinced.
Enjoy and own both Austria and Marco Polo. Did buy Lorenzo last yr, but after 3 plays, it just didnt click with us, and I sold it. Im wondering what to do with this one....not sure yet.
This is def' a keeper for me....I enjoy the style of game they do. Love the colour;love the busy look;love the random placing of cards. Just wondering how much we in the U.K will end up paying as we always seem to take a bigger hit in the pocket.
Looks amazing!. I have been following this one for a good while, purely because of the designers pedigree. Well I have pre-ordered this and also its mini expansion that adds a few bits and a dice box.
I think it is a well designed game. I am not sure if I like it yet. I did not like the few grey cards that are nasty to other players. They can really mess up a players strategy
I actually love these. I've played 4 times and never found them to be to difficult to manage. Since points are in the 150+ range, 2-3 point swings aren't huge and can be made up in a variety of other ways. They also don't provide much upper mobility on the Council Track either so their power is limited. After 4 games not once have they made a difference in who won or lost.
I just felt that they are a little too aggressive for a tight euro like this one. I would have liked this more if the player interaction was limited to the drafting and card selection. Thanks for the video
Thanks for the review. I loved the die holder pieces, cool way to distinguish which dice below to which players. Anyone know if pieces like this are available for purchase--I'm working on a game prototype that could benefit from something like these.
Elijah Fuller they might, but it ends up costing even more than here. Example, coimbra will cost $50 US, (65 cad) add another $45 (60 cad) shipping, (no one ships cheap to Canada, not even amazon) plus 12% customs fees and then you are paying a lot more than the already ridiculously high CAD cost. Coimbra would cost me over $140 ordered from US.
now you peaked my curiousity, what if someone were to pick up a few or few hundred games and brought them into Canada, would there be any crazy fees tacked on?

Would be interested to see you do a "Round One" run through of this.
It is very beautiful. I would like to own it but it seems pointless since I already own Lorenzo.

Thank you for quick review!

I was hoping you would be doing a review on this one.
is it any good as a 2 player game?
Eggertspeile is quickly becoming the company I avoid for their overpricing and cheap components. Heaven and ale $90 after shipping??? Coimbra $80??
shatnershairpiece just purchase through coolstuffinc or miniature market, Coimbra is under 50.
Elijah Fuller I’m in Canada. Would pay even more by ordering from US.

Love Grand Austria Hotel, this one looks good too, they are about the same price.
Coimbra, Orleans or Lorenzo il Magnifico?
Is this similar to Rajas?
you guys are awesome!
damn.. im from Coimbra.. this is aewsome
This game should've been called Lisboa. But Vital beat them to it. Coimbra as nothing to do with anything you do here.
I don't know why, but... Fifth! 😂 Now... You already know the question. How does it work for two?
Koo-Him-Bruh
Fourth
Second
Third!
