- Abdullateef Aliyu Maitaki, popularly known as Mufti Yaks, is dead. Legit.ng reports that Yaks is a prominent social media personality and religious motivational speaker who modelled his way of presentation with renowned Zimbabwean Islamic speaker, Mufti Menk.
Former minister of digital economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, posted about Yak’s death on his verified X (formerly Twitter) page yesterday. The cause of his was not immediately known, but he was reported to have been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
Pantami wrote: “Inna lil Laahi wa inna ilaiHi Raajiun! “Just heard that our beloved son, Abdullateef Aliyu Maitaki, popularly known as Mufti Yaks, passes away. What a great loss! “Janaza by 10 am at Justice Maiyaki’s residence Dutsen Kura Gwari, Minnah. May Allah admit him into Jannatul Firdaus.”

He then said: O Allah, forgive Abu Salama, raise his degree among those who are rightly guided, grant him a successor in his descendants who remain. Forgive us and him, O Lord of the Universe, and make his grave spacious, and grant him light in it.

You say that now however when you hit your grave, you will wish someone took the time to pray for you. Being in the grave will not be a permanent state. We will be brought forth from the grave again to be judged. In the meantime, hope that someone, anyone, will remember and pray for you while you face those angels.

We don’t work for everlasting life. It is given to us as a free gift from God through Jesus Christ who took our sin punishment on the cross in our place. Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is Eternal Life. If someone offers you a gift, it’s not a present you have worked for but a love token you accept with gratitude.

It's just like in the case of Lazarus, he died, he did not go to Heaven, JESUS said he was sleep in the grave... Then the disciples thought he was sleeping 😴 like he could be awakened out of sleep. But CHRIST said plainly... Lazarus is dead!

Amen. I hear you my brother but when someone dies you said pray for them. Pray for them in what matter because the soul when you die, your soul have already left your motor body. Your soul have already left that flesh until judgment Day. You are kept under the altar of God until judgment Day. How can you pray for something that's already dead? The Bible say let the dead bury the dead. Amen
God is for the living and the dead, the seen and the unseen, the present, the past and the future. Peace

Son. It is too late to pray for someone after they are dead. The only thing that ensures eternal life with God is to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. He alone died for your sins so that you will receive forgiveness from God.

Prayers cannot work for a dead person. The deeds of the person will speak for the person. Prayers only work for the living not the dead.
Praying for a dead person does nothing for him/her. How we live our lives determines the outcome. God tells us to repent, be holy, ask for forgiveness, show mercy, love and kindness to others. We are to study the bible and live right to be able to meet our Heavenly Father when we leave this world.
