  • A blink Analysis for my SH2-101 - The Tulip Nebula.
This is just a short video documenting the blink analysis for my Sh2-101m(The Tulip Nebula) Imaging Project.
The main purpose of this video is to show a blink analysis for my imaging project. I write a complete post covering the story of this project on my website, and that post links to this video. As such, it is part of a larger story. But I make these blink sequences public for those that might be curious.
six video sequences of blinking through SHO and RGB subs are shown here .
The full project post can be seen on Cosgrove's Cosmos:

For those unfamiliar with a Blink analysis, this is done once I have all of the raw data, and I am trying to get a feel for its quality and issues before I jump into the pre-processing phase.

Just wanted to say i really appreciate these because i get so worried when i barely see any data at all on my OIII ans SII subs from my bortle 9 location in Philadelphia. It makes me more confident knowing that i can get something out of it with after processing the data even though 1 sub looks like it has nothing on it.
    Keep up the great work!!

Thank you so much for your feedback! I realized that most people would find a blink analysis less than compelling to watch, but I posted it as part of my imaging project reports so that others would get a feel for what the raw data looks like and where you can take it to generate a final result. So glad you found this helpful. All the best on your astrophotographic journey!
