Singaporean is a nationality, not a race. A nationality is based on your citizenship, while race is based on blood. Therefor anyone who becomes a citizen of Singapore, is Singaporean. You don't have to be apart of the three main races, that being Chinese, Malay and Indian, to be Singaporean. Regardless of race, the moment you are a citizen of Singapore, you are as Singaporean as the locals. Periodt

I wish I become a PR someday there, I have already studied there, it's like my 2nd home.
But I have been hearing a lot and researching too. If you are from the Chinese background, it helps a lot.

@@manutdboy3326 No, PR requirement is baiscally fully based on meritocracy. Singapore system is meritocracy so basically they try to get higher-skilled and higher educated people to becoming a citizen or PR. In fact, it is one of the hardest place in the world to get a citizenship.

The reason the Israeli guy feels he did not face any discrimination is because he's white or looks white and Singaporeans have a white inferiority complex but a superiority complex to even people of their own skin but from a different country that's not so developed. I'm Singaporean so I know how some Singaporeans think.

Don't understand why the Israeli guy cannot be recognised as a Singaporean. Singapore's very first Chief Minister was a Jew. In any case, even if the Israeli guy has given up his Israeli citizenship, he (and his descendants) can always get it back. All members of the Jewish diaspora have a right to Israeli citizenship, no matter how many centuries they have been living outside Israel.
