Leo! I just watched this ❤ I'm sorry some Singaporeans are really not nice. They have nothing nice to say. I'm embarrassed they can be so mean. And I hope you can focus on the good🥰 you are a fantastic person I know and your family are nice people too. Hope we can meet up one day again!
As a filipino who lives here for 14 years, Singapore is such a great country. Everything so efficient and safe. I always tell to our patients how blessed Singapore is. No natural disasters too.
Hi,Leo...you shouldn't be affected by words easily. Be strong only ur parents words can hurt you. Show others how strong you are by not being affected by this few negative.
No matter where we go, how good u are, there are always comments. No one are perfect. Annoy those give bad comments, open your heart Forgive n forget. Be happy n stay healthy. 🙏Blessing
It doesn't matter whether you are new citizen or native Singaporean , you are already a Singaporean when you receive your pink IC . Just ignore those people who express unwelcome remarks . Yes , they have nothing batter to do . This are the people who are not happy / contented with their life in Singapore.
Leo, it's not an easy decision just to give up your home land passport for another country passport. Welcome to Singapore. I am sure you have many Singaporean friends.
after visiting singapore for 3 times now, it's one of the country that i want to settle if given the opportunity. japan and Scandinavian countries is up there too.
@@SingaporeOne the first time i went there is for vacation i went to sentosa and some museums back when i was in highschool. now an artist the next 2 times i was there is when we had an exhibition i think it was singapores art week and it was the first time i've seen a country celebrate art, it was an amazing experience everywhere you go you'll see art installations and exhibits. that's the main reason i fell inlove with singapore. I also love the food and accessibility of things is just one metro away. the people also the different culture in harmony with each other is quite uniquely singapore.
Pls call yourself Singaporean. We made a trace in our class in JC. We realize all, all of us have ancestors from another country. China, India, Sri Lanka, Borneo, Sulawesi. There’re probably not many natives left. Hey, but we work together. 🙂
he said he met a lot of strangers that turned into friends, meaning not all strangers turn into friends. that is different from all friends start as a stranger.
That would make things worse. The Philippines needs more humility alongside education. And it needs a leader with iron discipline similar to Lee Kuan Yew to set the standard across all sectors of the society. Root out corruption in both public and private sector - just as Singapore set out to do from the beginning, and it worked. Only then can Philippines truly flourish. Some say it's impossible to get rid of corruption, but Singapore is a case study that proves otherwise. I believe in a society where everyone can be well off and rich without sacrificing morals and integrity. Filipinos can learn a lot from the Singapore model. Train the next generation to be aware of how Singapore creates good leaders. It will require a complete overhaul to how things are done in the Philippines.
As for looking down at the poor... never look down at other people. Only look down at bad behaviours and set the appropriate penalties and programs for course correction. As an example, Singaporeans used to pee in elevators, which was finally stopped around the country by installing CCTV and setting strict fines.

You must be authority of everything
Whether we like it or not, all Singaporeans have foreign roots. Everyone can trace their ancestry to somewhere else in the world.
