Wow! Thank you so much for this video! I never thought of cutting hexies up to get other shapes. Silly of me I know, but there are now so many possibilities. Thank you so much for your help.

You are welcome! It is so funny to see people asking how to get other shapes that will fit the hexagons… the answer is right in front of them all along. Once you see the possibilities-the sky is the limit! Have so much fun! Happy Sewing!!!

    Half hexies are parallelogram. ❤️

Sorry, I will disagree with that comment. I do love math-yes, I am a nerd.
By definition; A parallelogram has opposite sides parallel.
A half hexie is a trapezoid since only one set of opposite sides are parallel.
Diamonds, rhombus, octagon, squares, and rectangles are all parallelograms.
Silly math lesson for the day.
      😋 Happy Sewing!

You can use any size to start with. I think mine were 2 inch hexagons. Happy Sewing!

Hi Colleen, I have done a video on basting diamonds, which will be just like the triangles. Please scroll through my videos... it should be the 2nd or third video that I made. I can post another video on it in the future. Thanks so much!

@@MyCraftyEndeavorsinEPP yes I found it but they don't look like yours. Mine have tails like mermaids floating in the sea
      Big and billowy
I don't seem to have control over them
