Pretty impressive that you were able to FC Speed Picking of Doom without speeding up during the descending part. I FC'd 3 times and always had to speed up.
That section is just all over the place with tempo (there're individual triplets in the first half that increase/decrease in speed frequently), so for most of the section (particularly going into the second half) I just tried to stay a fair bit ahead of the strikeline iirc to give the most engine leeway, but I think I did speed up at least marginally regardless.
As someone who fc'd ito via dpad, definitely get a 360 les paul, got the FC in less than 24 hours of even trying the method! I can't speak on other guitars dpads, I just recall the 360 les paul was the best (though I could be wrong)
Abyssion confirmed my suspicion the xplorer pad wasn't very good/usable, but tbh I don't see a world where I spend upwards of $100 to try a method on a single song (even though it could be useful for a couple DLCs like Devil/Dueling Banjos perhaps). Maybe someday I'll pick up a hardwire neck modded one for score chasing on xbox but for now it doesn't seem in the cards.
I bought a like new Les Paul that I’ve been saving for ItO. How exactly is the dpad tech executed? I tried for a bit but traditional strumming yielded better results. Thankfully the strum bar is fresh.
Just me that found triplets the hardests patterns on slider notes? Eruption, Spanish Fly, You Really Got Me are a nightmare for me.

dpad on xplorer is really not the way to go, that's an awful dpad
I figured within a few minutes of trying, the angle that it sits is also incredibly awkward.
Darn good fcs Mr apple. Tap notes suck ass but atleast they aren't as bad here compared to WT
