About All In The Family:
One of the most acclaimed comedy series of all time, All in the Family with Archie Bunker as the irascible, highly opinionated, working-class family man who viewed the world on his terms and his terms only. When not arguing with his liberal son-in-law, "Meathead," Archie took refuge in his long-suffering wife, Edith, who tries her best to understand Archie's conservative ways and outdated beliefs.

THOSE WERE THE DAYS!

Why don't you give us full episodes?
@eileenryan2248 weren't they though?
I love the audience reaction when Edith stood up for herself
That is real-life laughter from live audiences. It's not canned.
@@lemurianchick oh indeed
😂😂🎉
I was so proud of Edith
I watched this show with my parents in prime time. We loved it. Yes, I am old. ☺️
Me too 😂
ME TOO !! >>> *Pass the popcorn, Friend* 🙃🤪
Me too.
I was born in 71 so I did too😅
You’re not old, just a little ripe. 😅
I'm younger but i love these old sitcoms like All in the Family, They actually feel genuine and impactful
👍
They were
This was the best show ever made.
They were.
Extremely well written and acted. One of the best TV shows of all time. I actually got to go see them film it once. Great.
I loved her jumping up and down. I forgot about her anger building up to those angry hops. This show was great!
She jumped up and down like that when Archie wouldn't give her money for 30 years of housework after the bank turned her down for a loan. She wanted to buy Archie a new color television set. She wanted to be paid a dollar a week.
I love how she puts him in his place ❤
There needed to be more of that given Archie's never ending bullying, stupidity and arrogance.
That “nothing vs. something” monologue is genius. It describes the most basic key to a successful marriage.
agreed, very profound, honestly I wish Edith would've left Archie, there are surely worse husbands out there but the way he treats her daily is awful, I'm fine with the whole "women serving their husbands" tradition but Archie could at the very least be nice about it and show her that he loves her more often, I know he does in his own way but that's still no excuse for the way he treats her.
It's always good to see folks that are usually taken advantage of finally standing up for themselves.
"@jamesorsby7553" Problem is, Archie pays the rent and brings home the bacon. Edith does not have a job to support herself.
@@obscurelyvague That's true, but do you remember why Edith doesn't work? Because Archie didn't want her to work. Everytime she wanted to work, or actually got a job, Archie had a fit, so that's on him, not her.
Edith was the perfect prey for a narcissistic.
@@jamesorsby7553Archie is so toxic. Edith deserves better.
The worm turns
Edith was such a great character, I really feel for her here.
This show is perfection and it still resonates today 50 years later.
Why don't we have TV like this anymore.
Twitter mob, outrage culture, and lack of bravery in the movie/show industry to make shows like this!
@@TheWedabest Agreed. Also, lack of imagination/creativity & when someone is creative....either the studios interfere or the show gets little advertising, so no one watches them. :(
This generation can't handle it
I was RELIEVED when Edith actually stood up for herself!
To me what sad by her crying at the end u know she wasn’t use to sticking up for herself which she was used to being walk all over she deserved more respect
I love when Edith gets with Archie 😂
I was a younger teen but I still love watching this show… Edith had Archie whooped especially when she said stifle, he shut up all right he knew she wasn’t playing with him… lmbo 😂😂😂
Me too! It's about time Edith stopped letting Archie treat her like dirt. And it,'s about time Archie realized he should not,
Edith's ""ARRRRRRCCCCHHHHHIEE" Made the show 😅RIP to both comedic legends
NO its more like AAAWOAHCHEEE???
Absolutely loved and adored Carroll O'Conner❤️❤️❤️ he was the most beautiful human being and a consummate actor!!!!🎭🎭🎭
He had a beautiful soul too!!!
The best funniest show ever! Especially when George J. gives Archie the business haha! Can’t see this kind of humor anywhere anymore
Love them till the end of time🎉
Usual way of having Husband and wife for a loud conversation perhaps an argument 😂😂😂
Just superb acting, just superb..!!!
I just realized that the Archie character is a LOT like the Ralph Cramden character in the Honeymooners, played by Jackie Gleason.
I was born amid the last season of All In The Family, and I remember watching reruns of it in the early 80s and beyond. I always liked watching it. It's always been hilarious. I wish comedy shows were still this good now.
Archie: youre going to do what I tell you or else!
Edith: or else what?
Yeah Archie, or else what? What you gonna do..besides just stand there, wagging your finger, getting steamed, then run away like a big mouthed coward?! 🤣😈
Hahahaha good one, man
There's a technical term for guys like you (raspberry). Lol never gets old. So funny.
First thought; does Archie keep his house keys on him when in the house?
I guess they could be in his coat?
If he doesn't, I'd lock the door. ;-)
I love Edith
This show had the best writers ever. And loved it when Archie gave people the red raspberry! LOL!
Edith realized she had a brain in her head. That was a great episode
Those games are a art form, Artchie is a tyrant bully but he would not touch Edith.
This show wouldn’t work in today’s world. I am glad I have lived through all of them great sitcoms.
Me too.
Atta girl Edith.
Incredible show
I used to watch that old show so much back in the early 00’s, ch. 48 on Prime! ❤️🔥🌕🔥
Good for Edith
"Or Else What?" Go Edith!.👍🏻👏🏻
This scene alway's hurts me inside, very deep.. But thank you for the upload!?💜🎈😎
Go Edith Go!
My favorite sitcom back then Loved it
I absolutely love when Edith stands up for herself against Archie. He couldn't even answer her.❤❤❤😂😂😂
this was a very funny show
I remember the episode someone called Archie a meat head
*GO Edith* >>> *GOOOOOOOO* ‼
I wish I could have been in the audience too!
Poor Edith😢 I wish she had had a nicer, kinder, more empathic husband.
@@jaymike3302 exactly!!!
seriously, I could definitely see Edith with a suave elderly kind hearted gentleman who's a repairman
"Yes I AaAaAaAaAaAaMmMmMmMm!" 😂
One of the best shows ever! Don't make them like this anymore
Archie treats Edith terribly.
Archie's raspberries 😅
Archie treated her like shyt. No matter how funny it seems
He actually worshipped the ground she walked on.
God Bless them 🙏🥹🥺🥰🫶🏻 👋 from 🇬🇧 Iam having the Best laugh 😂 Saturday September 2024 ❤
Was there a main reason Edith felt a whole lot of extreme rage at Archie just asking
Mike and Gloria were trying to teach Edith how to be more assertive and stand up to Archie during their disagreements and arguments. Edith wants her cousin (That Archie hates) to visit, but Archie says no! 😄
Isn't it obvious? Archie ordered Edith around all of their married life and she finally had enough and wanted to be listened to. Not surprised you're a man, lol.
@Mary Schetrompf
Well maybe it wasn't so obvious to the person who asked the question.
@@maryschetrompf4197
Isn't it obvious that you're a grouch?
@@beachboys3326 Apparently not.
The best tv show EVER
I wonder if he beat the attitude out of her when he came back all drunk.
Archie Bunker and George Jefferson the men of America.
Poor thing😢
I just started noticing the details... Look at the wallpaper around the light switches. Just like in a real house, it's a bit discolored from many touches! (Annoys the crap out of me, cuz now I feel the need to address the 1930's wall paper in the hall!)
Then next episode she's back to being a doormat.
Wayda go Edith
drewski1535, It's Way to; not wayda.
There's a technical term for guys like Archie: a man who is past his prime
Dumb.
I can think of a few other "technical terms" for Archie but they aren't suitable to type on RUclips. 😂
Go Edith
Or else what?
Snort.
I wish I had a husband like Archie.
😢😢😢😢
What is the technical term form for guys like him
The boss lol
Meathead 😂
@@RLFLOWS
No, only in your delusional mind.
Excellent actor
Bully.
Archie could be such a bully.
❤❤❤❤ ✌🏼❤🌱 ❤❤❤❤
Meathead and Gloria created all the problems
Glad she finally stood up to him🤗 When he gave her an ultimatume, he couldn't back it up!😳
The most iconic show. Brilliant, underestimated.
I thought it was going to be, "'Glow worm' in the 5th!"🏇
Me too.
You have to stay here and finish the fight.
😂😂😂 That was awsome the wat she stood up to him. Very very awsome‼️😂😂😂😂😂😂
Frankly, with all of Edith's well off relatives, I think it was pretty crappy of them to be staying in a crowded household, putting people out of their bedrooms, when they could very easily have afforded hotels.
In that era you stayed with relatives. It would be really offensive to stay in a hotel instead which would imply staying with family is beneath you.
Miss this wonderful show with such great actors!
Did you know anyone like archie
Sunday evenings on MeTV
This was very funny, but growing up at the time.....Some families were REALLY like this! The man had total control, the wife didn't work outside the home. And after an argument the man ran out to the bar leaving a sad and upset wife at home....who also was having a drink alone to cope.
Edith was not a Dingbat she was a very smart woman
