A little about me: My name is Cary and I'm an animator, motion designer, and FX Artist. When I'm not working, I love learning all about science, from the microscopic to the epically large.
I created this channel as a place where people can come to learn about science, share new ideas, and expand their knowledge of the world around them.
We explore everything from the foundations of earth science and biology to the vast mysteries of the universe and everything in between.
And as I learn new things, I look forward to sharing them here in a fun and engaging way that hopefully helps you learn something new and inspires you to pass it on. - Развлечения
LOOOOL the description says this was made for gr 6-8ers. And im sitting here in my first year of university learning all of this, lmaooo thank you very much it really helped me for my geology class
Likewise >.

Iman Moghisi I’m in 7th grade watching this :D
Iman Moghisi still learning at 68
I swear to god I learn more on youtube then at school,
Thanks for making this video!
"Then" is sequential, "than" is comparative. You're comparing the amount of learning at school to the amount on RUclips, so you would say "more on RUclips than at school." Sorry, I'm an English major.
@@Bottomsupyours that's very impressive
Copy and paste lol.
@@mahamedaden7237 ohh😉😉
Im gonna tell this to my mom
I find it hard to believe how I learn more from an 8 minute video than I do in school for 1 whole week.. This video covered lessons that took my teacher 2 weeks to teach me completely.... this is why I prefer RUclips. It’s so much better.
same
I'm not trying to be mean or anything but u are the problem cause if ur teacher spent 1 week teaching you this and you still needed a video to understand that mean you weren't paying attention at class
Which is BTW the same reason I'm here lol but yea you can't always plame the teachers when you r the one that isn't paying attention
@@Fx-ov5dn That may be possible, and another possibility is that some teachers don't deliver the lesson well for the students to understand, because believe it or not, seeing the fun and enjoying the class really depends on the teachers. For example, I used to hate math when I was in elementary, but when I got to senior high school, for some reason, the teachers made learning Math fun, that's why Math is my favorite subject in senior high.
Doing this for my online schooling cause of covid stay safe everyone and wash your hands!
I will rather eat my hands
Don't forget to look up John Tuzo Wilson. His theory of transform plate boundaries, and their eventual discovery along continental ridges confirmed Wegener's theory for all
I would rather eat my hands fingers
I would rather finger my hmmm

This really helped with studying!
Thanks, Shaeli!
i studied with this too yoink
Yeah, this helps a lot! Thanks!
True
quite excellent isnt it
Honestly, when schools stop asking students to rot everything and instead come up with such wonderful lessons, kids will run back to school, not away from it. Wonderful lesson Cary.
You taught me more in this 9 min video than my science teacher did in a whole term. Thanks for the video
Thank you so much for putting valuable time and effort into this, it really helped me visualize every thing in such a detailed topic ! You did a great job Cary.
Ji..#.wouxdy n
It is not true , dont be do gullible , this guy has never seen the inside of the earth .
No one has seen the inside of the earths layers , thus this is BS at best , guessing .
The world is not what you have been taught.
@@NOTTHASAME there's so much proof.... ur going to fail school xD
I can remember this rather then reading one whole notes
This was assigned to be one of my 6th grade home assignments for work, and it really helped me out! Great video!
Great video. May not be the most complex subject, but the way you broke it down for someone like me, who knew absolutely nothing about it, was brilliant. Clear and concise script, great visuals, one of the best lessons on anything I've seen.
Absolutely love how you included examples into your explanations. Thanks a lot.
i was looking for hours for a good video about this and u explained perfectly
I'm a TOEFLer and it is very helpful. I appreciate your great work!
You need more subscribers my dude. I'm so glad my history teacher played your video at my school! If he didn't, I wouldn't have discovered this channel.
I have a geo standardised test tomorrow on this and this really helped because I have a photographic memory so seeing it helps alot plus the information was identical to the notes we were given. So this video basically saved me 2 hours of revising long notes
Holy Moly! This just covered my whole sixth grade unit! ;D
This is 3 yrs ago?? Your probably in 9th or 8th by now
Awkward! :D
I am a first year Envrionmental Science student and this helped me immensely! You explained this so well and I love the visuals. Thank you!
great Video! I really love the review at the end because it summarizes the main concepts. However all around, excellent job. This was great and I would like to see you do more videos about other Earth Science concepts later.
Thanks for Making This! :)
This helped me a lot to understand the theory and I loved the review at the end! Please make more videos :)
Congratulation for learning a lie. The truth is expanding Earth
@@mauricelao2292 bro expanding earth can also be a theory and not truth.
Hurting with deception and lies , people are so gullible about everything.
How can people be for certain about this planets layers when it has never been cut in half to inspect ?
They are full of shiot !
The truth is something you can't hardly handle , you have no place for truth until you clean out the BS that you've been force fed.
Truth ......
There is mo such thing as tectonic plates , it reality is what you were told in this video is another lie .
They have not witnessed one single tectonic plate in their life , it is made , a guess without proof.
What they are calling tectonic plates are the dead petrified body's of humongous creatures and gigantic humans , a gigantic graveyard of dead creatures.
Any land mass above the oceanic water's are nothing more than the humongous dead creatures.
Where one body ends and another begins is the San Andreas fault line , earthquakes happens when the body's move around or shift by the water's surrounding it.
Who would win?

You are doing a great job. Things which I never understand at online school, you explain them soooooooooooo well. I enjoyed the animation and the explanation. The most important thing I love is your voice in the video. Your voice is really nice. Keep up making educational videos and making children understand what they do not understand at school. Your videos really help me.
I have exams tomorrow and I am reviewing, and I have NEVER seen such detail in a video ever! You really helped me! THANK YOU!!! PLEASE make for videos explaining more things like this! :)
I wish I could have seen this in the 1960's when I was studying.
You just explained the whole theory in 9:00 and my teacher take 3 weeks to explain it

This was so short and well organized and easy to understand with the animation its a master piece
This is 3 weeks of our lesson in 8 minutes ! Gosh thank you for this!
I had trouble to understand the plate movements but now, things have changed. Thank you!
thank youuu!! I finally understand science now🙌🏼
Yo, I'm cramming for my earth science SOL and videos like this are a lifesaver.
This was such a helpful video for my Earth Science test!! Thank you very much! I can already feel a good grade coming along! :)
This video is so helpful! Thank you!
i wish my teachers were like you!! thanks for the valuable lesson
I wrote a term paper on Plate Tectonics and Alfred Wegener in 1968 in my pursuit of a degree in Geology at Michigan Technological University. Then this was merely considered a theory at that time and not given much attention at all. Nor much credence either. I totally bought in during my studies of this theory and the writing of my paper. I strongly argued for it. Not one course, or even a mention of plate tectonics, in any of my university classes during the 1960s. It has been amazing to me to watch this theory become fact within a few decades of my graduation.
Love the simplicity in this one!
P.S: What font did you used for this one?
Sir, your 8-minute video is much clearer than all of the readings and classes that I have watched on the subject. Great animation to support those who prefer visual input like me. Thank you so much, I hope you continue to explore this and other subjects.
Agreed
Helped me a lot! Thanks ☺️
a high-schooler from Egypt wants to thank you extremely for your effort exerted in that video, really like words can't help me to thank you enough for this clarifying presentation. Thanks sent from the country of Mo. salah, Giza pyramids, and Pharaohs
This is such a high quality production.... you deserve way more subs dude
Great video. Two things. 1-the Earth spins counterclockwise relative to north. 2-Continental rifts lead to sea floor spreading. The way it's presented it sounds like you're describing two types of divergent boundaries. There's one. Continental rifts are the precursors to sea floor spreading. The process and mechanisms are the same for both.
quick question... when he talks about the divergent boundaries, he mentions that usually the heavier, denser crust is the one that slides down. I saw another video where it states that its the thinner plate that slides down. is this the same thing? if not, who's right? thank you
This helped me more than school does, btw tomorrow I have a test about this wish me luck *subscribed*
did you do good?
How’d it go?
Armmmyyyyyyy!!!!
Great animation! I'd love to learn how to create animation like this. Very well narrated also. I might nitpick a few technical details but an excellent job overall.
Wow. What a great explanation in addition to amazing info graphics.
Excellent video sir. One point I'd like to add is, there are two types of base on the crust namely oceanic crust and continental crust. This may result in different outcomes during convergent , divergent and transform boundaries.
I didn't realise tectonic plates was still a theory. I thought it was a proven fact. Thank you for taking me through all of the guesswork..
Must be really hard for geology students to remember all of this stuff. Fabulous how you did a recap at the end of the video. Thanks for the learning
Ral Sharp it is a fact as much as anything is. That is what a theory is - an idea that has been “proven” by repeated observations and experiments
plate tectonics is most definetly a fact. Plate tectonics and Plate tectonics is different, but not entirely.
We already have observed about plate tectonics, hence its a fact. Plate tectonics theory tells us why there's plate tectonics and how it moves.
@@shelleysteva2251 thank you so much for explaining that.. I thought a 'theory' was in the box of 'guesswork.'
Now I know🙏🏽👣💧🌱
@@appleyt6757 thank you for explaining the how in the why..
I completely missed any understanding during my school days, concerning the plates. I went to Google Earth to see if they could be noticed in the ocean
This literally told me more about tectonic plates than my entire chapter did. Thanks! You earned a sub!
Thanks, Divya! Glad it helped!
thank you for making this video , i was totally out of my mind because i dont understand it in school but thanks ive learned so much in this video
That was a great and informative video. I'm building my own world for a pen and paper role playing game and I'm studying geology to figure out how to make realistic geology of the world, this helps a lot.
Robo Cathat any idea what it'll be called?
I love how committed u r to the game. What is it called
Thank you so much for this 😊 this is a big help.
This is an amazing video! Cleared all my concepts. Thank you so much!
This was aamaaaazing Cary, i'm learning this in grade 9 and I dont know how to thank you.
Absolute lifesaver, been slacking in class for 4 months+ and thought I was gonna fail. Thanks for this comprehensive and informative vid!
thanks for this video it helped a lot in my report
Thanks to this, it really helps.
I can't understand reading with just a science book.
Good job for creating this vid!
Thanks very much for this review. It has really helped me in understanding the theory very well.
Thank you on putting your time and effort for this, this really helped in covering up the part of syllabus I had missed in my geography classes

I used this to help me study for my exam hopefully this helps! ^-^
Doing a great job Cary i have watched this video multiple times and it has helped me a lot for my exams , keep up the good work , Thanks
It help us to understand better how the movements are produced , At what age they where discover and the thoughts that people have about it .And it help us to understand the kind of weather pattern that can produce a plate movement.
that amazing man, thanks:)
your a good teacher Cary Graham!
Amazingly described !! Thank you so much
Who else is watching this on 2020? This helped me a lot and it just summarized everything I learned on class today. I think I learned more in here than in class.
Alfred Wegener proposed the theory of continental drift - the idea that Earth's continents move. Despite publishing a large body of compelling fossil and rock evidence for his theory between 1912 and 1929, it was rejected by most other scientists.
He just explained my 9th class chapter. I-
In the description it says for middle school😂
Thanks btw
Same here
It really helps im advance studying so I was thankful that I understand it thank you so much!
Thank you for the best effort in this video to help students better understand the plate tectonic theory. Your the best!
