Shinichi's relationship with his mother is so sweet and heartwarming, I love when she's in town!
Lili Yurch I agree with you. However, his mum doesn't seem very warm with Satoshi.
Lili Yurch actually she seems fine to me. It's an Asian thing. Asian parents are quite formal with the partners of their children. At least that's the case here in south Asia.
Koh C H......Japanese parents are definitely more on the formal side. I grew up in America with my father, who was American of Japanese descent like me, and my mom who was from Japan. There wasn't a lot of hugging or my parents saying "I love you" when we were growing up. Don't get me wrong....we always knew, it just wasn't expressed. Until......my 2 year old nephew was killed in a tragic accident many years ago. That's when my parents realized that life was too short. Pretty much, from that point forward, it was daily hugs and lots of "I love you's."
If you look at the previous cooking videos with Shinichi's mom and Satoshi, you can see how loving and sweet she is with him. ❤️
Mindy's Mom What a very sad way to discover how important expressing and showing (not just feeling) your love is. Seems your nephew's tragic death brought something good to your family - so that is his legacy.
My mother was not Japanese but she certainly never showed love. She thought it would "spoil" us! I had to learn to SAY it out loud when I was much older. Now I do it all the time especially with my grandchildren but also with my kids and I can tell you it makes everybody feel good ... and when they say it back to you, there isn't a better feeling in the world! 💓💓 💓💓
Pamela J Levene......I agree! That definitely was Dakota's legacy for my parents. My sister (Dakota's mom), and I, when we would hug our parents--as young children, we always had to instigate that hug....they never did. I make sure and tell my family that I love them throughout the day, on a daily basis. There are many hugs as well. You just never know, and I would feel horrible if something were to happen to a family member, and the last words or actions, were not positive or happy. Especially, as my boys leave the house, and maneuver their car and motorcycle throughout the freeways of Los Angeles.
You're so right, in that, there's no better feeling when your loved ones hug you and love you back. ❤️ I'm so sorry that your mom didn't want to "spoil" you with love. You learned to express love to your family. That's THE most important!!
There's something about you both that is so calming and lovely. You're both so sweet and adorable. Your mama makes me laugh, she is so honest and down to business, I love it. Wonderful video.
She's so cute ^.^
5:38 OMG ❤️ the way Shinichi looked at Satoshi.... 😍😍
And I will be adding this on my list to visit! Thank you for showing us this place! It’s perfect!
i have been waiting for your mother on your videos. and this one is awesome. her comments are so real and she doesn't even sugarcoat. she's so adorable

Kenny Cgc they are c:
They are SUCH a cute couple and the mother is nice too.
Your mother is so sweet and adorable! Love the bond between mother and son. I lost my mom 3 years ago. What id give just to spend another minute with her. It warms my heart seeing how much you love and cherish moments with her. Subscribed! :)
Christina Kirby I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my mom 7 years ago. I miss her all the time. It's a bond you can never replicate.
Christina Kirby It beautiful watching them together. Bittersweet as well. I lost my mom when I was young. I'm sorry for your loss.
I know, right? I lost mine in 2002. You never get over them, but it does get better as time goes on. Sometimes, even if I could hear her nagging, it would be like listening to the most beautiful music. I love how kind they are with Shinichi's mom, and she's so cute. :)
I lost my mom in 2013 and miss her tons. Enjoy your mom!!!!
Your partner is so cute! You and he look great together; also your mom's the best. :3
Are they a couple? Are they together?
@@aaronc2171
Yes.
They were in an Asian Boss video and talkee about what it's like tó be a gay couple in Japan.
@@boglarkaborszuk8802 i need to see that vid, they make such a sweet couple. I am new to their channel, this is my third video watching of theirs and I was unsure if they were a couple or not. But I got vibes. lol its nice to know they are. We need more LGBT friendly channels that are just smooth and steady and no drama.

Feeling so relaxed after seeing your video!🤗
Thank you @TabiEats! We spent a day in Jindaiji during a recent Tokyo trip after seeing this video :) It was such a lovely peaceful place and the manju was delicious especially on a chilly day. I wish we could've gone twice! Thank you for the recommendation :D
Your mother is so sweet, I love how you two let her eat first and visit with her so much in your videos.
Loved seeing you with your mom. So sweet. The place is so beautiful. I HAVE to move there😀
🙋Shatoshi!
This was the very first video I watched. All I remember was how delicious the food looked, how sweet your mom was and how good you were to your mom.
Your channel is the best way to learn more about Japan
So happy you’re enjoying our videos!
@@TabiEats I'll definitely visit Japan soon ❤❤
tell your mom from me she "rocks" that hat
First time watching you're video!! Everything looks so good 😊 btw your mother is just to cute 💕 keep up the good work you both seem very sweet and down to earth ☺️
Love this Jindaiji tour. Will definitely make it a point to drop by on my next visit to Tokyo.
I learned from watching GeGeGe no Nyobo is that the author and his wife once lived near Jindaiji, that’s why there’s a Kitaro shop there. The author is originally from Sakaiminato in Tottori prefecture and there are more Kitaro related places there.
I only believe and wait for oba-san comment on the food. lol and I love it in every street food vlog where they show the price for each food they eat.
i love seeing the street food, we don't really have street food here so i love seeing what is available in different places :)
Where you from? Why there have no street food???
Tran Lily They're British. We get Street food in certain areas, usually cities, but not in most places. Fast food or restaurants are what we have instead.
Lily, we are from Scotland. Street food isn't really a thing here sadly! I wish it was!
I appreciate how you appreciate your Mom.
Wish I could go to japan once
manon990099 lets go 😄
manon990099 me too, but darn school it's impossible with such a schedule >__
ill go if someone pays for my roundtrip :P
manon990099 why can't you? It might take some time, but set your mind to it and you'll get there. 8D
Definitely save and make it happen...my trip there last year was so wonderful..love the food and the people!
Hello! I really love it whenever you guys upload culinary tour and travel related videos! Thank you for always uploading interesting and informative videos 😊😊😊😊😊
I discovered your videos not too long ago.
I was having a very stressful day at work, and when I came home I was in a very poor mood. I was like that for most of the night until my fiance pulled me aside and wanted to show me this video.
We plan on travelling to Japan relatively soon, and it's what motivates me to push through these tough days.
After only a few minutes of watching this video, I was smiling and happy again. You two are just so wholesome. All of your videos put a smile on my face.
It's what I watch now to de-stress.
Thank you both for these amazing videos.
I love the story of his relationship between him and his mom. Its a bittersweet tale that I'm thankful has a happy ending. 🥰

this is One of the reasons why I want to go to japan ... Scenery and thr food
Thank you! I am off to Tokyo for my 4th time in 2 years in a week! But my mother will be joining me, so I may take her to show her the more calm side of Japanese culture.
This video is so beautiful. Watching you all walk in such a picturesque region and enjoy yourselves, as well as watching how you three interact, is really relaxing and a pleasure to watch. It's so wonderful to see people share what they're passionate about with the world - we need more of that and less substance-lacking media.
I love seeing you spending the day with your mum, she's so sweet!
Now Im craving something with red bean in it.
Zeedokta I'm craving for a dart
Zeedokta T-T Same... It is so difficult to find any where I live.
Have you guys tried red bean moon cake? It's best when it's fall~
Where to find red bean and red bean curd in the U.S.?
In kansas city i get it at the asian grocery stores.
yay! something to get my mind off my workload~😅 thanks for the upload!😄🙏
first time here...so subscibing ....y'all are so adorable nd sweet!
I couldn't understand the things you ppl were eating except for some but really was heart warming to see how caring and loving you are towards your mom.
Thank you for sharing your adventures with the world! I love watching your videos! Howdy, from Texas! :)
4:09 "Still hungry." cuteee😊😊😊
Your mom is adorable. Love that she's honest LOL. Looks like you had an awesome day together. Thanks for the vid! Feels like we're really touring Tokyo with you.
It's the second time we are in tokyo and we want to discover new places. After seing this video some months ago, yesterday we decided to go to jindaiji. We feel that thanks to you we discovered a really amazing place! A relaxing place with a beautiful temple, really good food and super nice people, even one monk came to speak to us!!! I looooooved it!!!
Aww we’re so happy to hear that! Thank you
I just love to see how these street foods are so warm, welcome and not undustrial. even tough it might be a little bit more expensive then the grocery stores, its so worth the extras!
Anko, anko, anko!!!!! Hooray! So many delicious anko treats! I would love everything you tried on this trip to Jindaiji temple, the savory treats as well as the delicious anko treats. I was laughing so hard, because I was literally sitting here clapping when you ate the kusa manju. Thank you for that! I have had mugwort mochi, which was delicious, but I have never had it grilled. It must be so delicious! I also wish I could try those rice crackers. They look absolutely fantastic! If I am ever so fortunate to be able to visit Japan, I wish I could visit this temple. It is absolutely gorgeous. I'm so glad your mother could go there with you. It seemed like a wonderful day. Thanks for brightening my day so much with this video! Sending love to you and your family! :-)
Erin Uber......Sister! I loved that as well! Every single time I see anything anko, I think of you! ❤️
Mindy's Mom That makes me smile! :-) It is so delicious, isn't it? When we do finally get together in person, which I hope will happen one day, we have to have something wonderful with anko, don't we? I know you love it, too. :-)
"Erin Uber, this is for you" I loved it when they said that!!
ps: I am also a big anko fan....and umeboshi :-)
Erin Uber....Sister, I totally look forward to that one day!! We will make it happen!! ❤️
UNCLE! Uncle! uncle! each time they say it that's all I hear lol.
It looks so beautiful there. I would love to see it in person one day.... 😊
When you watch as many Japanese food videos as I do, you start to see the same things over and over again. This was great, as I saw so many new and delicious-looking things, and in such a lovely place. Also, always nice to have mama around. 😘

I just got back from my first trip to Japan and I went out to Jindaiji because of this video. It was so nice and the food was great. They told us tourists never go out there but everyone was very nice to us, and it was a very nice break from Tokyo. All our friends from Tokyo were very surprised to hear we went there.

Thank you :)
@@TabiEats my boyfriend and i will be visiting Japan later this year and cant wait to go to all the places you've shown us!
Long time ago, my friend has been to Japan for education. All I wanted to ear is Dango. So I asked her how Dango taste like in Japan. She said she doesn't like it. Last year, I visited Japan and finally, I had the very first Dango and I LOVE it!
Place looks amazing! Also I never tasted a dango but I'm pretty sure that I will like it.
Very beautiful video. I enjoyed it very much.
Beautiful Video! Love your videos!
Great video!, Love you guys!!!!
Love your videos, they always make me smile :)
Thank you for such a wonderful video! I am planning my first trip to Japan (with my mother) next April. I have been doing a lot of research and keep a small journal about where to go, what to see and what to eat. I really enjoy how descriptive you are with the food and the Japanese terms for each. I am currently learning Japanese, and understand the challenge of learning another language. Thank you so much for learning English! あなたのえいごはすきです!ありがとございます!じゃあまたな。
I don't even like beer myself but it's always a treat watching Satoshi drink. "Love this. Oishii." Lol he was so serious about it.
Anyway, thanks for sharing another heartwarming video with us! Mom's always so cute.
