not sure if anyone cares but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all the new movies on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my gf lately xD
A slight miss is that they missed putting in the UN Spacy logo (with which all TV Super Valks* had in place of squadron markings on the fast pack booster units) to transform the movie strike into a TV Super (with the spare micro missile pod) as we have two DX TV valks in the run so far and only one Movie. However, as this has been commented on in many Japanese fan circles, I suspect this will be addressed. * Not that the Supers made much of a show on TV, but they are still sought after, thanks to Imai's 1/72 MS no.67 VF-1S 'green box' kit from 83.
TV supers are generally rendered a different color and have different forearm armors and no strike cannon so the thought is that Bandai will release TV version supers at a later date.
hmmmmm...... When and if they do a DX Miria, I'm wondering if it will come with super armor ...and I'm wondering if I can do something to use my Yamato 1/48 strike cannon with it, or make one using it as reference/a mold. $300 is kinda steep just for a DX cannon.
The round nub toward the front of the gun touches the ground (I think it has on every Super VF-1 toy). If the arms pegged in more securely Bandai might be able to get a millimeter of clearance there.
kinda unfortunate that its not as solid in fighter mode but luckily i have my 1/60 V2 vf-1s hikaru displayed in fighter mode and will keep my DX version displayed in battroid mode with the strike parts attached so no biggie to me
Do you have any news for the future dx chogokin releases? I really want to know the next vf-1 variant releases and my friend says the YF-29 Alto would get a rerelease with the paint of VF31
Bandai has been teasing a possible YF-29 reissue for a while but they never offer specifics on when it will happen. They also teased each DYRL style VF-1A (Max, Hikaru, and Kakizaki) so it's probable one of those will be next... but they dropped the TV VF-1A Max out of no where so... tough to say.
Definitely disappointing about Fighter mode. This should have been perfect. Only thing that makes this better than the Yamato version is the more accurate color and the tampo detail. Bought one set at double the cost due to Nippon-Yasan screwing me over on my order. I don't think I will buy another set unless Bandai reissues them again, especially since they are weak in Fighter mode.
Awesome review. I have seen some of your other reviews over the years and I appreciate that you are pretty upfront and honest about the product. I just ordered the DX VF-1S & strike parts. Still debating on whether or not I want to pay for the missiles. Can't get the final shooting pose from the movie without it though.

@Lewis Cory definitely, have been watching on InstaFlixxer for years myself :)
I really miss your reviews :(

Could you tell me where I would find when they announce new figures? I'm hoping to get a Roy Focker version but worried I will miss it's release.
You bastard...you always have the good stuff.
Does the gun pod drag with full fast pack in fighter mode? Looked like it was close but could not really see.

@@ScorchedEarthToys Thx
It's a little disappointing that it lacks interior details, but I think it makes up with better decals and sturdier build overall

i ordered my parts on eBay and i haven't received them yet.
I would like the TV. Erskin. Just keener on the yellow and black VF1

Thanks for all your hard work!
Nice! Love your videos!
Personal question what is the $$$ VALUE of your personal collection.
I don't keep everything I review so probably less than you'd expect. I try to keep at least one of each line for comparative purposes.

Great Review Jenius!
I like VF1J so happy.😄😄😃😘😘😍😘
I'm still missing the VF-1 missle parts myself.
Anyone know where in the hell one can buy this stuff? Most of the Amazon shops look kind of shady...
Nippon-Yasan is pretty good, but they do jack up the prices on figures as their stock lowers.
I have 3 of these.
I am not a pilot but maybe difficult to pilot a vehicle so small.... maybe you have to ask for something bigger 🤣😂🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂.
The details are insane
