There are so many RUclips videos telling me how wonderful life is in Italy; how good the food is, how affordable life is, how friendly the people are - how much I need to move to Italy and of course, to like and subscribe. There is an equal number of videos telling me how bad the bureaucracy is, how hard it is to get a driver's license; how isolating it will be not speaking the language - how much I need to second think things and of course, to like and subscribe. You don't "tell" me anything, you share your life. I watch those other videos for selfish reasons, to gather information; for planning, but I haven't subscribed to any of them. I subscribed to your channel and watch your videos for my interest in you, what you're doing and, for what Massimo might be up to next. I suppose that's selfish too, but selfish delight. We're in the US for the foreseeable future and 2025, for us at least, brings only trepidation. Let's hope the new year affords you no such anxiety and brings you only peace and prosperity. Just keep an eye on Massimo😁

Best video yet the clouds above your heads and the green scenery were so beautiful the Olive trees! Beth you could write a children’s book for your grandchildren about the trees their names and weave together a story about them and how they are reborn for the next generation. It’s funny because I can relate to you a bit more from CT Boston Fans living in CA friends and fam still in New England and we also have some in Oregon one of our fav places. I am a retired teacher planning on moving to Italy 1/2 Italian working on my citizenship. Really still watching this you look like a postcard really!!! My blood pressure always seems to drop after watching, which is a perfect way to wind down on a Sunday night. My favorite part this year was definitely the olive trees and other nature scenes. If you haven't been yet, try to go to the Paolo Orsi Museo in Siracusa (free first Sunday of the month) to see the amazing doors from the big famous tomb in Castelluccio. Really incredible.
I have enjoyed the episodes that I have seen. Yes, you get down (who doesn’t?). However, for the most part, you are always upbeat. Happy New Year to you and Beth and your families. What village is it that you are located near?

As far as the language is concerned, get a good tutor and get the basics down. Once you're both comfortable with the grammar and have a good chunk of vocab under your belts, you're good to go! Practice on each other and find yourselves a language parent to help you continue. They're as indispensable as your language tutor!
Suggestion: It would be nice if /when you visit other locations you have the name in text on the screen. We can follow up on maps to see where these places are. Also when using "Sicilian" words have that appear in text on the screen. Especially for those of us that would like to learn Sicilian, that would be very helpful. I do speak "Northern" Italian, which I find can even be "somewhat" different from from the very Southern Italian. The vocabulary usage all over Italia is interesting, and then there's Sicilian. Love your videos & the progress you're making. I follow another (RUclips) gentleman with his project in the Marche, plus an Italian couple with young children in Sicilia. The wife is from the far North (Merano) and the husband is from the Northwestern part of Italia.
the first thing to learn well is the pronunciation of the Italian alphabet! then also find a native speaker on the internet who can give you lessons so you don't make mistakes... then I advise you to make an effort to speak Italian among yourselves too! 😊 Happy New Year to everyone from Rimini!
