I work in Illustrator and save my files as SVG for my Cricut Maker or vinyl cutter. Do you know if the results of a print on the GlowForge are better in one type of file compared to another. I’m not quite ready to purchase, but getting closer all the time. Thanks.
I've had better luck with using PDFs myself but I'm not sure if one file type is "better" than the other. PDFs for me have just been more solid and dependable. You can definitely save as an SVG and use that on the Glowforge though with no issues at all. I hope this helps! Happy making!
I started out using PNG. Then found SVG better. However… I recently started saving as PDF and that works well for other reasons. I use Corel. And when I set my material to the glowforge size bed and save as a PDF it saves it as the material size instead of just the design. That’s the only reason. But… if you have multiple outputs… like your cricut… I’d keep it all in SVG.
Very nice video... thanks for sharing
Cheers Ben! Thanks for watching :)
This was great! Can you please tell me where is the best place to get vector images from?
Cheers! I get vectors from a premium membership to freepik.com

For those of us who haven't purchased a laser cutter yet, can you post a picture of what this looks like as a final product please?
I would recommend heading to Facebook and checking out some of the communities there to get an idea of ownership.
