This is a better version of ROF, and them losing made far more sense than struggling against Frieza's soldiers. The Z fighters were winning until they were losing energy. They put up a better performance in the rematch, and even Yamcha got some shine for the first time in decades. But you saw that Moro cheated by boosting one of his henchmen.
@@jasonone8726 they were actively trying not to kill the soldiers and were wasting energy on them akin to how roshi thought goku beating the red ribbon was proof he had been surpassed but considering how much power they have, it is a hard pill to swallow they could waste so much strength one-shotting folks
Their energy are getting sucked while the Prisoners are getting amped by Moro. If even Goku and Vegeta has no answer to Moro's energy absorption ability, how can the others can (outside of the 17 and 18, who did fight Moro briefly)
The anime is a lot more the goku and vegeta show than the manga. In the anime Goku and Vegeta basically did everything in the ToP, the manga gave more space to Gohan, Frieza and Roshi instead.
What? I'm pretty sure they nerfed the others more in the manga. I get it, there was Ultra Instinct Roshi and Gohan vs. Kefla, but Tien, Krillin and Android 18 was knocked out without any kills. The longer version in the anime did it better at giving spotlight out of the two scenes I just mentioned. And even still, Frieza still had enough screentime in the anime. Like him being a menace towards the bird guy or the Yardratian, him helping against Toppo, Dyspo and the big robot guy, and ultimately defeating Jiren with Goku.
@nickscott27 frieza in the anime was a joke lol he only fought and took out a bunch of weaklings but when it came to fight the strong warriors he took such beatings that it made me feel bad for him 😂 he also didn't eliminate no important character aside from jiren with Goku's help. In the manga however he takes out all 3 wolves brothers by himself not to mention he forces both Toppo and Dyspo on a rock far from the arena where eventually they fell so he eliminated them both too, in the anime he was destroyed by both instead and only took out dyspo thanks to gohan. In the manga Frieza is also the one who eliminates Jiren with Goku holding him in place for him whereas in the anime he merely helps Goku instead. Frieza was the true MVP in the tournament in the manga. In the anime he barely did anything instead and was there just for fan service and help goku.
