This is SoLiD ! !! I love the guitar sound they had on this version of the track. Kind of reminds me of Sisters of mercy, especially right at the end. Strawberry Switchblade should have stuck with their original sound. Although I do enjoy Since Yesterday for all its synth sound.
I kinda agree, although I like this sound and the released version's sound equally. If this version of the song was released today, it would've been a hit.
I agree too, I feel had they had they a more guitar based sound like they originally did when they started, they could have been critically considered one of the best UK bands of the 80s, simply cos their song writing is just out of this world, the melodies are amazing.... they should of stuck with guitars!!!
just realized, this photo is the '2 faces or a vase" interpretation. pretty cool.
I love the dreamy sound of this and how it blends with the tight melodic almost pop like song structure its really top notch
I absolutely love this version!
I can hear a hint of Kitchens of Distinction with the shimmering, chiming guitar. Beautiful!

This sounds so good.
At their fresh inventive best, love the feel on this one!
That picture is great; looks like a SS wedding photo.
Yes... If only there was a picture of them kissing...

when i die play all of their songs in my funeral and i will die in peace
Thanks man, absoloute gems from 80's.
Special!
Thankyou
Their songs r Great with a catchy beat, very 80s❤❤❤😊👍
Just amazing
if you told me this was a cocteau twins song i would believe you
If they had stayed with this more indie pop sound with jangling guitars instead of synthpop, they may have had a longer career.

***** I agree, would totally work today.

Yeah, their synth pop stuff has aged not terribly well, but the rest of their music still sounds great.
in my personal opinion, they did both sounds very well.
Automatic goosebumps
Their indie rock guitar noise sound was so much cooler
nice
where this coming from is this was release..
this version sooo much more fun than the one on the album
I prefer the version of Poor Hearts on the 12" of Who Knows What Love Is.
