Saw them in Northampton Massachusetts in 1994 at Pearl St night club. I’m sitting right on the stage and the lead singer kept balancing on my shoulders and stage diving off of me. Really nice guys all of them, they stayed when the lights came on and just talked with all us crazy teenagers for a while. I always remembered these kind gents (from NYC?) hope they’re doing well.❤

Glad one of the bros gave me the tape back in the day, helped me focus on skating n in life while dealing with alcohol parents. Gave me peace❤
this is harcore,i heard this album up and down on my walkman,,damn times are going fast,it feels like yesterday but its 23 years allready..
My first encounter with these hardcore legends was via "We Stand Alone" in the early nineties... I immediately got stuck on those ferocious riffs and vindicative vocals... That's a fine collection of tunes of their first years (the best imho!) and the live songs are incredibly powerful... Possibly SOIA best production so far... SOIA is definitely a stage band and hard to match in that field, yeah they are really sounding terrific live. "We Stand Alone" was to have a long-lasting impact on me... My only regret is that i never had the opportunity to see them on concert in my home country... Thanks for sharing such timeless classics!

Man, I have this on cassette from when it came out. I have looked for years since for this to be put on disk but to no avail. I had to upload it from a cassette player to my computer. Thanks for the upload.
Back from the golden days of In-Effect being a viable label! Still holds true: glad to see someone has this near and dear to their heart. I was in the same slot: have the 7-inch and cassette....the live show compilation shows what an amazing rhythm section Armand and Rich were.

this tape was stolen from me after I purchased it. didnt even make it out the mall n the bag it was in was robbed
the live tracks were recorded in Oklahoma City 1990..I was at that show, one of the wildest ever. DRI and Nasty Savage played as well.

I got beat up by skinheads and did a stage dive that ended up putting me in the hospital . Still it was a who’s who’s of Oklahoma’s metal heads punks and weirdos, and people started to network more and more after that gig

@@ragnarokruner2168 We all miss those days. The one time I saw DRI a big fight between skins and indie rockers started then after 4 songs the show was shut down,cops called,etc Talked with the DRI singer before they played,he was a hippie space case,not what I expected.

Goddamn this album comes in hot! I remember going nuts the day it came out waiting for my friend to go to the record store with me to pick it up.
Boys and girls! If you ever need to clean an old, filthy oven this is perfect soundtrack! It's shiny and clean as XXX teenager and I didn't even magaed to finish listening to this awesome album!

They're style was so underground and tough during that period. Hardcore was gaining popularity and this was like the holy grale for my friends and me for a period. I saw them live once. Was an awesome night...until a stagediver added a new angle to my head and neck.

I caught that show in Cleveland, SOIA was opening act and killed it! During Sepultura a security guard swung on a crowd surfer. Igor stopped the show, ran down from the drum riser and chewed the guy out, then kicked him off the stage, jumped back on the drums and played the rest of the night like a man possessed!
@@yourmomsdaddy9130 Yes I remember that ...Max kicked him the back and Igor whipped a drumstick and hit him square in the back with a sniper's precision then he came off the riser...That same prick tried to sneak back out during Sacred Reich and Phil Rind pointed at him and gave his ass the no no gesture and the other security guys came and took him away.

Live tracks 4-11 do not appear on the vinyl release. (some of it was recorded at the Reseda Country Club, w/ Point Blank, Carry Nation, Vision and Killing Time)

I heard Lou say one time this was a bootleg and wasn't supposed to be released in the first place, hence, I would not expect to ever see a re-release.
Edit: I do see they now list it on their website discography and it wasn't there a few years ago when I looked, so maybe...
Why oh why can’t i find this on CD
I def 100% remember a vinyl 7-inch that features “What’s Goin On.” You might have to pay collectors’ prices for it though. Friggin’ (vinyl & guitar) collectors: they show up at GoodWill extra early-before opening hours even-on ‘drop off days’ and take all the good stuff { stuff they may not even enjoy }. One of my best friends has a great hardcore vinyl library { he’s a true fan though, through-and-through }. I’ve wanted him to digitize the musics and scan the record sleeves, that’s a LOT of work though…

Good Album seen them in "93 and "1995" but should have seen them in "1991 but couldn't get into the club show was sold out! Sucked them and Agnostic Front and Killing Time.

soia is not a dms band, but yes, i will say that violent sociopaths frequently make some of the hardest hardcore.
Saw them with Biohazzid at Washington Square on Miami Beach that shit was off the chain! Wall to wall fights and WP skins got dealt with! Mad Love!
