Good to see Fenix finally adding moonlight mode.
Overall im happy with fenix they make best flashlights with best runtimes
'welcome my son.. welcome to the machine'..
' you've been in the yards, playing with lights.. 😊
Good to see you being so prolific these days👍👍.
For now, I'm just about burnt out with doing extra hours at work too :/
What a pleasant musical look a the E18R V2.
Amen to Owen's comment about moonlight mode. I use it a lot at home on other kites.
This is the best flashlight of 2022, a small keychain Light with the power of a big flashlight
Definitely not small enough for my keychain. 10% bigger and heavier than the previous model. What a disappointment.
I have really started liking the E series lights. I have the E09R, E28R, and the E35V3.
How do you find the E35V3? I heard in turbo it steps fairly quickly?
@@paradoxicalcat7173 if it isn't online or on the Fenix website, it may have been discontinued. It steps down from turbo but nit as quickly as you may think. It's 30 seconds, I believe..of which isn't bad, but can go right back in turbo.
I bought my light at a store in Tennessee called Smoky Mountain Knife Works. They have Olight, Streamlight, Surefire, Pelican, and Fenix to name the majority of what they have.
It's an upgrade compared to its older brother E18r. On the other hand they re still using the same 2.5 Amp battery which I can't find anywhere and the regular ARB-L16-700 battery is 1Amp max. Old E18R which I own, uses an XPL-HI with a weird COB-like TIR. That light steps down at ~50sec in all reviews when Turbo and it really cripples its run times. It's actually decent at medium and high.
I'd rather get the smaller E16 with its warm emitter instead but that's not an option anymore.
I have several of their products. And I love this little MONSTER light
Can't go wrong with Fenix, I've never had a failure, and they are hard to scratch!
nice scenery, good review, great sample of each lumen and PERFECT music. I'm sure to have this one as my new EDC
Hi mate. I really love your reviews. Is it just me or all od those SST's from Luminus have greenish tint? I have couple of them and in direct comparison CREE wins with treir "cool white" tint. Your opinion ?
Yes, and this is well-known. Only a real problem in side-by-side operation, or if you are particularly sensitive to green.
I'm searching for a new flashlight. I like candle modes so much. Which AUX RGB LED flashlight would you recommend for 200$ max?
I think the Fenix flashlights are really cool, a pity they are very expensive compared to other models.
Once you'll have to use warranty for one of your flashlights, you'll understand why people still prefer Fenix (and other high end companies) over the cheaper competition.
@@fkasol I live in Brazil, fenix here is 3-4x more expensive than other brands like Sofirn for example. And Sofirn I think is pretty cool.
@@fkasol If I have to use warranty I 'd be better tossing it away 'cause in my country it'd be hell trying to send it overseas and then wait for a replacement.
ready for the next Frictional Games's videogame!
Thank you for the Awesome review!!!!!
Just got mine. Nice light! Easy operation compared to my armytek
I am actually a fan of the E16, and it's a shame it was discontinued instead of getting an upgrade.
If going for the smallest EDC possible, I really cannot understand why would Fenix (and the users) would prefer the bigger, bulkier, E18R.
Nice review, as usual
When I lightly rub the side button with my thumb, I can feel some play.
It wobbles a little.
Is it normal?
This is all in one for defense for moonlight etc. nice
Really nice review. Love the shots of the flashlight in use! Forgive my ignorance, but is it definite that the E18R V2 can use a CR123A battery? I ask because the specs on the Fenix PD25R specifically say it can use the CR123A, whereas I don't see that anywhere in the E18R V2 specs. I kind of thought that maybe it was too small to fit a CR123A or something. Can you clarify, please. 🙂
Yes you can use it them in addition to the 700mA it comes with
Nice job mate!!
Great vids! Advice please, im looking for a torch which can output ~500-900lm for 4+hours for camping/night walking as i think this gives good visability without being too bright. It must be as small as poss. Prob is most smaller ones only output this for about 2-3hr max? Currently have imalent ld70 i love.
If you want to, check out the Fenix PD36R. It can output 800 lumens over 5 hours and 350 lumens for over 8. 1600 lumens for 2 hours 50 minutes
Can you show beam shots vs olight baton 3 ?
Please review the Tk22 tac as well. It launched 10 days ago, but still there’s not a single video of it on RUclips.!
Doing it as we speak! Works well so far.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Awesome🤩 when are you going to post its video?
@@Ranger-ly5qf possibly Thursday afternoon
nice detailed video keep it up
Greattt 🔥
Can it take 18350 battery?
Nope
That's not Frida - It's Jens in drag - he's been saving his hoard for the op.... not bad in the dark but don't look in daylight....
Grrr WISH THEY WOULD STOP USING LEDS WITH GREEN TINTS
👍
Die habe ich , aber nehme keine Accus mehr
Meh....more low CRI cool-white lights. Why can't they offer better emitter options? Such a shame as their build quality is second to none IMHO
Looks like traditional green shitty tint. Nothing extra. Thanks for review
The joys of SST40!
It's a bummer it is bigger and heavier than the previous version. No longer the smallest rechargable 16340 light. Bummer they went to type C, it costs small lights like this way too much in size and weight. 😢
Can't wait to never buy such an expensive backwards direction in lighting. Wish the american version was still magnetic charger.
