I flew with Thai smile from about 3 years ago but unfortunately our seats had no legroom at all it was A320 old version and it seems that the A320 neo is better choice ,but the wonderful Thai hospitality and service was perfect as usual.
thai smile is a full-service regional airline. just like qantaslink, lufthansa cityline, ba city flyer, etc etc.

Thank-you so much for taking the time to produce and post your video. One of the greatest pleasures about viewing trip reports is that it enables me to experience places I’ve never been or might not ever visit. From your visit, it looks like Phuket has recovered nicely from its tsunami. I am guessing that in the recovery process, Phuket focused some of its efforts towards renovating its airport.
I did discover why the seating on your aircraft was labeled “ABC ║ HJK”. It has to do with the standardization of seating labels for both wide body and narrow body aircraft. In short, it has now become the standard for the letters “A” and “K” to be window seats on all aircraft. “C” and “H” are the standard for aisles. “I” is never used to prevent people from confusing it with a “1”. Maybe someone finally discovered that some people are actually NOT very smart and have difficulty finding their seats (I am putting this very nicely).
In no way am I putting down the airline. However, I am not particularly fond of either the name or the style “Smile” is written. I am guessing that pretty paint and naming something, “Smile” serves to make passengers feel better about flying an economy airline.
However, I am wonderfully surprised that your flight did not include people bringing aboard babies which screamed the entire flight (at least I did not hear any).

I guess the naming of the airline is correct, their service seems to have put a smile on your face! As for the airport being noisy and crowded, I think you just described almost all of Asia 😂. Good reporting as usual. Looking forward to the next one.

I flew on Thai Smile on a Boeing from Thailand to Varanasi! It is an amazing airline
I always fly Thai smile in thailand great airline and cheap. One time i flew from Bangkok to Phuket flying Thai Smile in a 777 200 series the same type that flew me to Bangkok from Australia. There was hardly any leg room sure the plane was reconfigured for domestic flight by adding a few more extra seats in. Had more leg room from Australia than from Bangkok to Phuket, Didnt like the seat configuration with less leg room,

Actually Thai smile airways is not a low-cost airline. But they are net work from Thai airways for operlate shot route instead of Thai Airways. Passenger get snacks drink free luggage load and also Eran mileage for Royal orchid plus everything same Thai airways. But Thai airways opened Thai smile for new character Thai smile have teenage than Thai airways. After opened Thai smile Thai airways still operlate domestic flight just 4 route is Chiang-Mai , Phuket , Koh Samui and Krabi only.

@@flightexperience_official I flew on a thai airways 777 from Oslo Norway to Bangkok but funny thing is that Thai Airways also use the 777 on this short route between Bangkok and Phuket as well.
A jumbojet on a short domestic flight a little over an hour.

In Asia airlines count rows differently, especially if it's an airline with mixed wide body aircrafts and narrow body aircrafts. Even among wide body aircrafts there are different configurations, there may be smaller business class or larger business class with more rows. So for the sake of unification, on asian airlines business class always begin with 1x row (most starts at row 11), and economy class always starts 3x (thai usually 31, CX usually 39), each company has their own numbering policy. Moreover, for operational needs, it's easier for the cabin crews to count as well.

I've flown extensively (somewhat) within Thailand in the last 7 or 8 years. I don't consider Thai Smile a 'low-cost' or 'no-frills' airline. Never had a bad experience - not the case with three other domestic carriers.

I think thai smile is similar to silk air from sq rather than a low cost

Ich fliege mit meiner Familie Ende April die gleiche Strecke mit Thai Smile. Wurde von der Thai umgebucht. Anscheinend kein schlechter Deal ;-)
Sehr schönes Video da kommen Erinnerungen hoch. Bin seit einigen Jahren nicht mehr auf Phuket gewesen. Wo wart ihr den da genau?
Dankeschön. In diesem Fall war unsere Unterkunft zwischen Surin Beach und Bangtao Beach. Zudem lässt sich es empfehlen zu weiteren für Phuket "abgelegeneren und einsameren" Stränden zu fahren. Dieses mal waren wir beispielsweise am Banana Beach, welcher nicht nur in der Beschreibung einer der schönsten Strände Phuket ist. Letzes Jahr waren wir aber auch im Area Kata Beach. Klassicher Badeurlaub ;-)
Ok hört sich ja toll an. Ich war damals mit meinen Eltern immer in Karon. Hotel direkt am Strand nur eine Straße dazwischen. Da kommt man schnell wieder ins schwärmen

A snack and 2 drink services on a 1 hour 5 minute flight? On US carriers you'd be lucky if they throw a bottle of water at your head from the jumpseat and laugh at you while they're doing it
Well in Asia the customer experience and service is writ large. Even the low cost airlines are offering a wide range of warm meals for purchase on their flights and there are even airlines which offer lounge access in Economy Class. Flying in Asia is the best! Travelling in Asia in general. Super friendly and welcoming people, amazing food, global cities with great vibes, fantastic breathtaking landscapes. Sadly so many countries there are still closed for tourists or have insane elaborate entry requirements.
@@flightexperience_official Yes, I am in Thailand right now. I took Singapore Airlines over here to Bangkok then took a first class sleeper train from Bangkok to Surat Thani for 57 dollars ! Now I'm getting ready to head home tomorrow and taking Thai Smile from Surat Thani to BKK to get my international flight. It has been a pure pleasure riding all modes of transportation here. Even with COVID, they all manage to provide great service with a smile. All our flight attendants in the USA want to do is figure out how they can use COVID to do the least amount of work possible with minimal contact with the customers who provide them with the jobs they all seem to loathe. They all want the travel benefits, they just don't want the work involved in getting those benefits.
