      @OxanaCrafts  3 года назад

      Hang in there, it will get easier! You can get the big 1lb spools like I use on Rio Grade website, you get tons of wire that way and it works out to be very economical per foot.

      @@OxanaCrafts I've made 3 more after my first failed attempt and they have a few flaws but are much better except I seem to be having trouble scratching the copper. I bought the xeron needle nosed pliers that you use...is it just a sense you acquire about how much pressure to use on the wire? I decided to buy a spool of square wire on riogrande.com because this new adventure is addictive and I have at least 20 stones I can wrap. I've done gemstone beading for years....but wire wrapping is new.
      Now I have to decide if I should oxidize or not....since the color will turn eventually I am thinking it would be better to do it....what is your experience and what do consumers seem to like?

    Gorgeous, glad I found your channel. I was already long time searching for a way to wrap a stone without a hole into a pendant. I have it now... TJX.
    QUESTION: do you have a way to wrap a stone who is like a cubus firm or a sphereshape? It's not a reel sphere. But it has its shape. I mean it isn't flat at a side. Pfaff hard to describe when you aren't native English lol. I mean regular stones that aren't flat and regular... but not sharp. Tumbled. Lol. I hope you can imagine what I mean... 😆

    Bonjour, je découvre vos créations que je trouve admirables, merci à vous. Je souhaite emballer une topaze facettée qui est rectangulaire et mesure environ 1 cm. Ce serait pour ma petite fille mais qui préfère le métal argenté. Je suis en France, et je cherche le bon fil pour le faire. J'ai trouvé le site ou il y a du fil en argent, pourriez vous me conseiller quel fil acheter chez eux ou ailleurs, soit en aluminium, en argent? Merci d'avance, je suis mauvaise en traduction de l'épaisseur du fil. Je vous mets le lien si cela ne vous dérange pas de ce site, afin d'avoir les bonnes sections de fil à utiliser et les bons matériaux, car je vois que vous ne travaillez pas l'argent. Très bonne soirée.

      Because your stone is small, you would want to use thinner wire, like this one here, it is 21 gauge sterling silver square: www.riogrande.com/product/sterling-silver-square-wire-dead-soft/100504GP/?code=100621
      And for your weaving wire, 24 gauge half-round: www.riogrande.com/product/sterling-silver-half-round-wire-dead-soft/100440GP/?code=100474
