- We’ve got all the best behind-the-scenes tech from Red Bull Hardline 2024, including the race-winning bike, two prototype frames and a rear hub with disengaging pawls for better suspension action!
The race is the brainchild of former World Cup downhiller Dan Atherton, who decided World Cup tracks were simply not difficult enough! 2024 marks 10 years of Hardline in Dyfi, and every year the riders get better at setting up their bikes for the mammoth challenges presented by the course…
We talk to the riders to examine race winner Ronan Dunne’s prototype Mondraker, Tahneé Seagrave’s Canyon Sender, Jono Jones’ custom-painted Propain Rage, Josh Bryceland’s prototype Cannondale Lab71 DH bike and Brendan Fairclough’s Scott Gambler.

Mondraker gets this one for sure, the fine tune adjustments are my favorite part (i love fine tuning things on my bikes)

The mondraker looks awesome but it is going too complicated for average people to setup.
I'll just go to Home Depot for replacement bolts, so easy...
That's the reason i like it. Over the top tech is so cool. Got to amaze the engineering and setup know how behind it
Not really, they'll just stick to the default if they don't feel like doing all the tuning.
it is a prototype, not for the public. they won't release a bike with that much adjustment.
I hope the production bike at least comes with the stiffness braces

Never understand a dh bike with the fork clamp not being set to the top as it makes otb more likley as the front sits a little lower. Theres no benifit to it other than strengh but no ones ever broke a fox 40 so 🤷
