My temperature was warm enough. I had bubbles too and they said not to use heat to kill the bubbles or put it in a warm water bath. So I never used the rest of my resin. I LOVE the holo look in these! i may try to make inserts with the window cling film. i have silicone for a year i have never opened . so wth ! and yes i finally used the last of my liquid diamonds a few weeks ago . i did not have the casting one. but it yellowed in the bottle and i put blue in it and it made it ok.. but i am not crazy about that brand.. i do want to find a thinner one for some of my smaller intricate molds so it will flow into the small areas easier.. so i am looking.. the j diction is not bad i decided to try that one as i was using the uv one and it works great! well sorry for the book..❤🌹ETA:Do not keep your silicone mold making kit too long ... i went to use it and one not sure i forgot to look was fully solid! wow wasted near 40$$ :(
That's such a great idea to do the inserts with the window film. I never thought of that. I will try it too. You should totally give it a go. They would be so pretty. I am on the hunt for a new one now too. I'm not loving the new formula. I liked the old one because you could pour it thin and with this new formula it's not an option. I will just use it on making these 😁 I might have to try the jdiction. Does it smell a lot?
@@naptimecreations no smell ! at least to me..( some folks smeller is very sensitive!)and it comes with spatulas and a silicone mat that they roll and then fold up !!!😤 so it's basically worthless. but i did find a use for one i put it on the back of my chair and now my rags stay put!heheheheheh also you only can get 3/4 of a gal i think it was. so i got 2...i also forgot to mention the blush i got on several things with the LD. take care! 🌹

I watched this video last week and I ordered the holographic insert ($5.00 ) I received it today. I wanted to try it out before I purchase grand items. I also received a sm. Ziploc bag with tiny paper squares with holographic paper on it. What is that for?
I think it might be a small holographic earring mold? Like you pour it and then attach earring posts after it's demolded? I'm not sure she always sends out free gifts with orders. Good thing you placed an order when you did. She's out of stock and won't be restocking for another week. April 1st 🤗😁
They are reusable over and over. The holographic effect stays On the silicone mold insert. Holographic is actually a micro texture and the resin takes on the micro texture as it dries. In turn making your resin creation holographic.
I love love love these Tish. By chance did you make the molds and druzy Holo inserts? If you did then are you selling them in your shop? The are really amazing. Sorry I've been gone for a while. I love the holo effect in the crystal! If this was added to a project such as a resin geode, would it keep the holo effect, assuming you didn’t get resin on the insert area?
Thank you 🤗 the holo effect is so fun and pretty. Yep it would stay as long as resin doesn't touch that holographic part on the bottom of the crystal 🤗
Thanks for the tips on Liquid Diamonds. I purchased some but hadn't used it yet. I want to pour a small skull where I would insert a dried rose bud and this mold is deeper than the ones you used in this video so I'm thinking about three layers till finish. Since this still stays kind of soft after 24 hours should I separate the layers 24 hours apart?
That sounds like an awesome project, I bet it will be gorgeous all finished. 3 layers sounds good and I waited 24 hours between layers. It seemed like a good time to wait. The previous layer was still gel when I did the 2nd layer at 24 hours so I didn't get that demarcation line which was nice. I say 24 hours is the best bet. Thanks for watching 🌈❤🤗
@@naptimecreations I've found it's easy to put a clear coat on flatter items such as some jewelry, coasters, trays, etc. But what about non-flat creations??
@@joyful non flat Creations its hard to top coat them. You have to wait until your resin is very thick then pour it on so it doesn't all run off. You can also use clear gloss spray paint. It will make them shiny too.

@@naptimecreations no smell ! at least to me..( some folks smeller is very sensitive!)and it comes with spatulas and a silicone mat that they roll and then fold up !!!😤 so it's basically worthless. but i did find a use for one i put it on the back of my chair and now my rags stay put!heheheheheh also you only can get 3/4 of a gal i think it was. so i got 2...i also forgot to mention the blush i got on several things with the LD. take care! 🌹
@@roseannpate7332 right on, thanks Rose I'll check it out. No blush with the jdiction? My friend said she got blush so I was scared to try it.
@@naptimecreations OH , well so far i have not seen any...hmmmm? i sure hope not...
@@roseannpate7332 she lives in Canada where its super cold I'm thinking that's why. I'm going to try it next. Thanks Rose 🤗🤗🤗🌹🌹🌹❤❤

Amazing! Where do you get the inserts?
Thank you. Here's the link to them

I LOVE the sparkle!
Where did you get the mixing cups in this video? Are they disposable?
Thank you so much, they're disposable. I got them off Amazon 🤗
can the holographic insert be used between the layers instead of on the last layer of resin?
I think the insert would get stuck and it would be hard to get out it you tried that.
Thanks for watching 🤗
I watched this video
last week and I ordered the holographic insert ($5.00 ) I received it today.
Just stunning, do you sell? We can all "wait" for patience......💜💙💚🧡❤💛
Thank you 🤗 I do sell them in my etsy shop. They're all sold out right now but I will be restocking more soon 💙
@@naptimecreations thanks, lll give em a look.
@@mariedriskell8752 thank you 😊
Can you explain the holographic insert to me? Is it a one time use thing? How do they work? Id love yo try this but have no experience
They are reusable over and over. The holographic effect stays On the silicone mold insert.
Holographic is actually a micro texture and the resin takes on the micro texture as it dries. In turn making your resin creation holographic.
@@naptimecreations thank you so much for explaining!

Where did you get the mold? Did you make it yourself?
Etsy
What is the pink thing you pull out of the crystal?
A holographic insert silicone mold
I love love love these Tish. By chance did you make the molds and druzy Holo inserts? If you did then are you selling them in your shop? The are really amazing. Sorry I've been gone for a while. Lot's going on as I am building up my inventory so that I can sell in some Art and Craft fairs this summer.💜
Thank you so much Annette 🤗🌈 now is really the time to gear up for the summer events. I bought the molds and inserts.

No link for the alkohol you used🤔🤔🤔
I got it at my local grocery store. It's not available for shipping because it's flammable. It's 91% isopropyl alcohol.
I love the holo effect in the crystal! If this was added to a project such as a resin geode, would it keep the holo effect, assuming you didn’t get resin on the insert area?
I just thought of another question! How would it look if you used the insert on the bottom of something with a flat top like a coaster?
Thank you 🤗 the holo effect is so fun and pretty. Yep it would stay as long as resin doesn't touch that holographic part on the bottom of the crystal 🤗
I think it would look nice if the coaster was clear or very transparent. I'll give it a try asap 🤗
How did you make your inserts
I didn't make them, I bought them from juliart-studio.com 😁
discount code doesn't work...:(
They deactivated my code it doesn't work anymore. I use this resin now it works better.

Did you add any glitter to this one?
No
Thanks for the tips on Liquid Diamonds.
@@naptimecreations Thank you for your advice. I'm a subscriber. Love your videos!
@@rkhnd51 thank you 🤗 that means so much to me ❤
I'm having issues with my molds becoming less shiny. Any idea how to restore dulling molds? Also, do the inserts dull over time?
All molds will turn matte over time & no longer be shiny.
You can do a clear resin top coat to make the resin pieces shiny again.
@@naptimecreations thanks
@@joyful no problem
@@naptimecreations I've found it's easy to put a clear coat on flatter items such as some jewelry, coasters, trays, etc. But what about non-flat creations??
@@joyful non flat Creations its hard to top coat them. You have to wait until your resin is very thick then pour it on so it doesn't all run off. You can also use clear gloss spray paint. It will make them shiny too.
Do you always use a protective mask? What kind? Thx
Thanks for watching, I do always wear a respirator. I use a 3m half mask respirator with organic vapor filters. Here's the link to the mask I use you can get it and the filters off Amazon
