Thank you for this tutorial, I made my daughter a Christmas cot sheet to use which she will love for years to come. With the left over squares I made a carry bag to store the sheet when not in use 😊
Oh yes most definitely! From my audience analytics the age demographic is watching my videos is pretty evenly split between the 25-35 year olds and the 55-65 year olds. Glad you enjoyed the video
Another great tutorial, I'm going to try making a sheet for my adjustable bed as most sheets just ping off when it moves will share my results with you 💖🏵️🇬🇧
It can be very tricky working with large pieces of fabric for sure. Usually I would put it on the floor to spread it out and use an erasable fabric marker to draw in where I need to cut first then remeasure it where I've drawn the lines before cutting. I've written your idea on my list for making into a RUclips short next time I have a big piece of fabric to cut out
I love your practical fun videos for family-based sewing projects, thanks Marie. But when I add the elastic to the cot fitted sheet, it is about 0.5m too long - is the elastic really supposed to be 2.3m?
I'm glad you like the videos. Yes my elastic really was 2.3m but maybe yours has a lot more stretch to it than mine? I'm not sure. If it's working for you with shorter elastic though that would be fine
I put the elastic through the first time and tried it on our mattress. I adjusted it to the right tension and then took the elastic out to measure it for future use. I hope that helps
I just put it through the case with the end left out, then put it over the mattress and fiddled with the elastic until it was the right tightness. Then take it out and measure it if you want to know how long for next time.
Thank you for the help. I made two taggy toys from your channel too. I have just finished cutting out my next three sheets with one mini fitted sheet. I will have to pick out more fabric for the mini fitted sheet. I am making my sheets for the gaia baby modular mattress it is a smidgen rounded on the corner in comparison to the traditional cot mattress, but it still works out well.
@@angeladevine3218 that sounds great! Sounds like it would be a bit tricky if the corners were too rounded so I'm glad to hear it's still working with the normal square corners. And taggy toys are always a winner!
Your way of doing the elastic to the bed sheet is so much easier than others that stretch the elastic as they sew. Thank You!
Good I'm glad this was helpful. Yes stretch and sew is a bit fiddly especially with so much fabric to be wrestling with.

Loved your french seams
thank you , you make the steps easy to follow for a beginner
Excellent I'm so glad to hear! I'm always just a message away if you're needing any help though
Thank you so much for sharing,am going to look forward to trying this 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Your videos are great for grandmom’s too!

Excellent tutorial
Love this

Sounds like they might need to be longer down the height of the mattress. Good luck and yes let me know how it goes
Can you please do a video on simply measuring and cutting large pieces out of the fabric, mine always seems to go wrong 😢

Great video!!!
Thanks

Thank you for the nice video. How did you calculate the length of the elastic??

i'm assuming this is a generic one size fits all baby crib mattresses? thank you! great tutorials as usual xox
It would fit a standard size crib mattress, yes. Glad you're enjoying all these baby related videos!
Could you tell me how you worked out how much elastic you would need for the fitted sheet?
I just put it through the case with the end left out, then put it over the mattress and fiddled with the elastic until it was the right tightness. Then take it out and measure it if you want to know how long for next time.
I made my first out of 3 cot sheets today. I have one mini to make too. as my matress for the crib is modular
@@angeladevine3218 let me know if you have any other questions, I'm here to help 😊

How do you find out how much to cut out on the corner?
If you go to the 4 minute mark that's where you cut out the corner pieces. It's a 20cm square
I HATE IRONING these‼️‼️ 🤣
Ironing is the worst
