Watching ANW, it surprises me how many really strong athletes end up falling short on the warped wall. Obviously being extremely tired is probably the biggest factor in why they mess up something they've done 1,000 times, but what's the most common mistake(s) they make on these doomed climb attempts?
I actually can 2 step the 14.5 warped wall at the gym I go to. That gym I go to twice a week. Once a week is when I go to a gym that has a mega wall. I'm hoping to kick butt in the competition tomorrow.
At least do a climb up at the top until you get to a waist position or else it doesn’t count, plus it’s literally free because there’s bar grip and even if you can only lean on your forearms on a real wall, don’t have to here because of the bar grip, and obviously you’re supposed to also flick/cast up or at least step up and start practicing the climb up progressions with the flick up, but it’s perfectly fine to just stop at a waist position here as there’s no platform to land on at the top, so obviously only someone with a decent amount of experience would actually cast up onto the stand alone bar up there.
Nicely done. I feel like running right over to the Ninja Playground and giving it a try!
Their competitions are FUN! A I know this was a bit back but lookin forward to the next one
