    Killer price, more than 100 effects, nice selection of amps (also enable dual amps), whah/ volume pedal (with cool tuner access at lowest pedal level), broad IR support, loop to add external favorite pedals, support for bluetooth dongle, touch screen, manual and preset modes, pedal function assignment programming functionality, simple looper - plus Boss known product durability.
    Always fun reviews, Dagan! Keep up the great work

      Nowadays, Headrush seems to be ahead in the competition (web based editor works on all devices without the need for additional bluetooth dongle, many captures downloadable from the cloud, stereo FX loop, many amps, same IR response as any DAW etc). Waiting for a new Helix, it can be released any time soon.

How would it sound plugged into an input of a tube amp? I have the amp that I like visually, but, I also love the convenience of the multi fx. I am currently using ME 80, but, I would like to upgrade, because the drives are. well, bad, to put it mildly.

    • @PMTVUK
      @PMTVUK  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey! Thanks for the kind words. Ideally to use this with an amp, you would have to run the output of the GX-10 into the FX loop return of the amp, and then turn off the cab block in the GX-10. So you're getting all the amp tones and effects, going into the power amp of your amp, and then through the speaker 🤘

    • @steved1099
      @steved1099 Месяц назад +1

      Number of foot switches... 3 versus 8, the GX100 is not that much larger. The extra switches are not to be underestimated as it's only 60 extra or so and allows lots of options. Just down to personal need. Other than that identical 'guts', sounds and software.

    love these processors. Have been looking at them for weeks now to see if it is worth considering moving up from a katana. however I find the reviews give option overload.
    Im playing in a dadrock coverband. Kids have grown up, so we can be 16 again. Would love someone to go through how to use one of these to play the usual 70s 80s and 90s rock songs in a 40 song set.
    Will the 3 pedals be enough? or is more required. I can understand why some people opt for the large pedal boards, but processors are the way forward. Just want to make sure I buy the right one. Don't want buyers remorse.
    I like the GX100 for ease of use. However it seems a little big for pub gigs where someone could step on it or spill a beer all over it. I love the size of the GX 10 but not sure it will do everything i need it to do. Help 🙂

      Please tell me you don’t feel the need to upgrade…I’ve spent ages going back and forth on the GX100 and GT1 (with a bit of wobbling towards the ME90)…finally went for the GT1 as the cost seemed better value…and now this comes out and solves a few of my problems with the GT1…

I think some specification are better on the GX-10 like the interface and maybe 50 effect in addition and 8 second more on the looper..I play for fun at home so i don't need something to expensive or with a huge range of setting with a lot of connection in and out. What kind of problem do you have with your GT-1 maybe i can help you ???

    • @AVFCAM
      @AVFCAM 2 месяца назад

      @@sylvainhuard2232that’s the the thing really, it was the interface. The ME80, while having even less of an interface, had the dials right in front of you, it was easier to test and tweak things (as I’m only just getting into pedals and effects)…but I couldn’t get on with the little display on it…so went for the GT1, but, the GX pedals have a much more intuitive way to adjust settings. I couldn’t justify the £450 for the 100 though, not at my level. I also felt a bit off about the USB connection on the GT1, it’s the oldest USB port I can remember seeing and it’s not able to be connected to an iPad/iphone, whereas the GX can.
      If you’re still ok with it though, that’s a good endorsement!
      Thank you!

    • @sylvainhuard2232
      @sylvainhuard2232 2 месяца назад

      @@AVFCAM Indeed you are totally right about the interface. I'm old school too, I had an ME-30 and ME-70 in the past and it was in my opinion easier to adjust with the knobs like on a simple pedal. But with a little time and trial and error I managed to understand the interface of the GT-1 as it should be and it way better than the ME-70.
      The GX-10 has the same type of interface but with a better way of presenting it. This can make it easier to use. As for the USB port, it works very well with my laptop and the right driver. I do the settings using the ''Boss Tone Studio'' software to assign the pedalboard buttons with the effects I want... It took me a while to understand there too. I watched RUclips videos to understand how it works and now it is done by itself... As for the USB port, you can find the wire that connects to the iPad and it will work... Because the salesman of the store used an iPad to demonstrate to me.
      To finish and give you a clear answer, if I had the choice to buy today between the GT-1 and the GX-10 I would take the GX-10 because it is more recent and the improvements are up to date. But if I had to buy another multi-effect I would probably buy the GX-100 with more footswitch which makes it even easier to use the different effects. I think that even with the GX-10 it will take you some time before you can enjoy it because the principle of the interface is more or less the same with a better visual approach.
      I've been using the GT-1 for 3 years and I'm still learning how to use it properly. There are still functions that I don't use. I've been playing guitar since 1990 and I liked the simplicity of individual pedals but it's much more expensive and you can't jump to other setup by a simple switch. Give yourself time to learn Multi-effect and don't waste too much practice time on setups, use presets to start and the rest will come little by little... because basically all the Boss Multi-Effect have the same software with different interfaces between the GT and GX models. On that note, I wish you a lot of fun with your equipment and your guitar .... 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸 .... I hope my comment was able to help you !!!
      Have a good day !!! If you are able to connect on your Ipad but it doesn't work, you have to download the right driver from the BOSS website and it will work fine...
