Corporate is an odd breed of people. Especially at Honda! I was all set to get one of the first African Twins to do the TaT, they were excited at the idea of videos and social media postings. I talked to Chuck, Lee and a bunch of them at the top. As it got closer to the time they changed it from sending a bike to Colorado (where I'm at) to how about you come out here to ride the bike around here in California. That was nothing like what we had talked about over the months. I went back over with those just below Chuck on what I was planing to do with the videos and social media postings on a new ADV bike that is coming into a sea of Orange bikes, with a lot of BMW riders etc (plus I go to a lot of events so it would be seen by a lot of the ADV peeps). A guy there in the executive offices told me "well why would we loan you a bike when people will make these videos anyways?" Because I'll make the actual videos vs you waiting around for months and years in hopes of people making the videos you would like to have. They didn't get it and I dropped the idea. I got to say Chuck has always been good to me, supports events I do, but some of them below him have no idea how RUclips or Social Media works. People today buy bikes they see on RUclips, or from events they go to. I'm not a racer, so not to offend I had no clue who you were Cole...so I'm very surprised that even with someone they know they shied away. I'm happy that BetaUSA loaned me a 2019 Beta 500 RR-S, I have made something like over 100 videos with the bike and now have 2000 miles on the bike. Due to this virus, I still have the bike, the CA tag is good till this fall so we will see but I got to give it back at some point. Plus deal was easy going, just make videos and have fun and take it to events that I had planned. Sweet! Some companies like people talking about their stuff, real people that ride because they are lucky in life to get to ride all the time. I'm not paid, just lucky to have a loaner (my channel is a lot smaller then yours). I know a whole host of companies that might support you, hell they support me and I am the fraction of what your channel is. What companies forget is that the person is not just doing RUclips and Social Media, they are also a sales guy because people ask me questions, I'm also an ear for those that have issues, and on top of that I report odd issues or things I hear to the manufacture so some R&D too right back to them. They get a lot out of the right person for basically just riding the bike. I should ask for pay...LOL That will NEVER HAPPEN, not for a trail rider no matter how many bikes I sale or other products...well I won't say that, a company did for the first time give me a check last year. Wasn't much and I donated to an event that raises money for Trails. Good luck to you, now I'll have to watch some of your videos....Stay well my friend
As a lad that's into cars and bikes none of my mates are enthusiastic about bikes I want to start but there's nowhere near me and in the UK the Community isn't as...... Welcoming as it seems in the US enjoying the Channel mate good content
Too bad honda doesn't see your value. I'm a fan of your RUclips channel and like seeing your builds. Keep it up. Things have a way of working out. Braaap!
That’s what Honda does. MC/RC both got treated the same way. Even when they were winning. When the next hot thing comes along Kenny will be in the same boat.
Bob Bob yep and it sucks because they can do it. I don’t know if it’s still like this but Honda used to control 50% of all sales of motor vehicles and the other 50% was split between all the other manufacturers. So they can screw people over and do what they want because they will still sell their bikes and other power equipment. I won’t knock them on the quality of their products though because they really are built to last.
I feel like a cool video could've been a vlog of you testing all the different brands out and buying your favorite? maybe linking up with Maeda, little behind the scenes of the ride days what you do and dont like? Some more vlog footage of you buying the bike, going to the dealership, house tours etc idk? everyday lifeish

Traction control is pretty sweet in tight, rocky sections like when you're trail riding but when you're going off jumps or coming out of turns it makes it feel like the clutch is slipping a little. I would try it out for yourself to see what I mean, but I'm guessing it'll stay off lol

Braaap!
Looking forward to all the new content... and also you were one of the reasons I bought my 19 450L.
You are the man Cole! Met you at Foxborough SX a few years ago... you were so cool!
So excited to see what you're gonna do with the bike! Love your channel, keep it up dude!
Appreciate the honesty Cole! Thanks for the update.
Looking forward to some cool KTM content. Great work.
Love the Road glide in the Background.
Jonathan Whisnant I’m filming with it Friday I’m hoping to have that video up over the weekend
@@ColeSeely I will keep an eye out for it, at 52 not much of a dirt bike rider anymore, but I do love putting road time in on my Heritage. Enjoy your riding and bike building.
Traction control is pretty sweet in tight, rocky sections like when you're trail riding but when you're going off jumps or coming out of turns it makes it feel like the clutch is slipping a little. I would try it out for yourself to see what I mean, but I'm guessing it'll stay off lol
Thanks for always being honest and putting out rad content 🤘 inspires me to ride and out out better content myself! Les Goooooo
Guessing they kinda showed their true colors,,, well,, more power to ya and looking forward to seeing your builds..
