For anyone who’s confused, the mom is intentionally doing this and the father is going along with it, he’s pretending to be abusive so something can happen to the son, they have people watching stuff that he’s searching and keep testing how smart he is. So they’re being manipulative to him, that’s what i got at least

this is a diamond in the making! hope to see season 2!! the story is phenomenal, the hypothetical and philosophical topic how humanity tackle with the advancement of technology, as well the method to survive from it's constant mistake of polluting, and dwindling earth resources etc, just really implode the hard fact that there is very little time!

It's hard for me to believe Stephen Holstrom became the visionary genius he was after such traumatic event: His father breaking his mom's arm with a hammer.

Very confused about people hating on this show. I thought it was incredible. I can totally understand if the subject matter doesn't interest you, everyone has different tastes but for me this show tackled an issue and asked hard questions that we will need to ask eventually. What makes an individual an individual? A human a human? Are clones the same as their original? Even if they try to match the exact nurture aspect from nature vs nurture? What rights do they have? Same concept with Uploaded Intelligence especially if the process does not destroy the original. I think the animation is great and the voice acting is great too. Of course it can always be better, but its still good.
This scene is not indicative of what the show is actually about and without context it is confusing.

AMC Bosses, this is not anime and it's terrible on top of that. It does not belong on Hidive and I was willing to just ignore it after watching the terrible ep 2 preview, but you keep pushing this crap through these clips and banner ads on Hidive itself.
You are just making the people who sub to your service upset as a lot of people are on your service to get away from garbage western entertainment like this. I really hope making this crap had no affect on Hidive's budget.
