Yung TedBounty lol do the research.... really kiddo dont teach me that shit i live in a different country than yours and the tax is different on imported items here than your country ......when intel's cheapest mobo is just for 65$ in my country at the same time b350-m the cheapst for ryzen available now is at 110$ ....see the difference? i hope you know little bit of maths and in that much extra money i can buy i5 7600k instead of r5 1500x.....thats y i asked for comparison fool
But the i5 is better on the 6 games, and exactly the same price, with less average consume, cheaper motherboard, why would intel fanboys would be ''in denial''? AMD still is paying more for less, same story since they designed the first fx and ended phenoms 2.
77TheEnd77 yeah no. the amd beat it soundly in andromeda the newest game there. which actually uses 7 8 threads. on the others it was close and the i5 edged it out. the 1400s heat productions is low as the is as is its power consumption. the 1400 in UK is 15 cheaper than the 7400. not to mention the 1% and 0.1% low fps averages on the 1400 rape the i5 7400s and yes this has been tested a lot now. its nit all about the average fps. the 1400 will have more smooth and even frame times. not to mention in ANY task other than gaming the 1400 is going to be the clear Victor. to claim that the 7400 is a all over better chip is deluded.
The nonsense of people evaluating a CPU by gaming. Ryzen is a huge success, excellent productivity performance and great gaming performance, cheaper than Intel.
they did say they were trying to make a breakthrough on the gaming scene as well, so its reasonable that people are disappointed by now seen performance. albeit the platform is new so there is room to grow, which most overlook.
michael Daley I've never heard they were specifically targeting gaming applications but... Anyway i think it is a very respectable achievement here with AMD. i am saying that because we all lived the last 10 years of a market rigged and dominated by Intel and Nvidia. I won't even remember you how much CPU generations Intel took from 2009 until now to have such an IPC in their Arquitecture
Well it is one aspect of evaluation. I am guessing you don't really have to evaluate other sides now, as it is already a consensus that it offers superior value over the competition in nearly every other aspects.
Ryzen 7= Aimed at productivity Ryzen 5=Mostly gaming and a little productivity capeable Ryzen3=Budget Market for media consumption and light gaming. No productivity target.
Well if you old i7 has not even been released yet, drivers are brand new and windows/games have to release updates then yeah, it'll get better. Can't accept the fact that AMD is doing good, can you? Eh?
Its a haswell. And the same shit was said about piledriver ˝Wait for the updates its gonna get better˝ It sure got better all right :D . Sure ryzen needs updating but if you expect amazing performances then you're expecting far too much
They have though tbh mate. in 2011 when sandy bridge first came out, the i5 and i7 were equal in all games.. look at the 2500k vs 2600k now in 2016 2017 games. the I7 literally shits on it in new games like andromeda and BF1 and wildlands. You can use the old bulldozer argument either as that has closed the gap vs the 2500k a lot too despite its terrible per core performance lol
Icy Dive422 Got mine "Budget PC" 905€ Asus Prime B350 Ryzen 1400 GTX1070 Gainward 16GB 2400hz RAM Its my first ever gaming PC and I saved for it about three years now I will order the parts when I get a discount and the site where I buy usually gives 15% when you buy in June when you are a first time customer I can't wait to be able to play Dota2 again!
The fact that the obviously poorly optimized Ryzen 1400 can keep up with the 7500 in every single game pretty much depicts how hard AMD is fucking Intel right now.
More games need to be tested. As you can see, some games prefer Ryzen, other games i5. After all, the GFX card is what will determine your gaming experience.
Point To Be Noted RYZEN is still A Newer CPU, that isn't still Trustworthy, Imo But I will take RYZEN over INTEL I won't mind Few FPS drop over Faster Render.
Love your work man. There are a lot of reviews out there but they are far from real world usage. I love the fact that your tests are according to real world usage. With these budget oriented processors who is gonna put a titan Xp, he would rather have a RX480 or a 1060. Great job keep it up.
обратил внимание что при 100% загрузке видеокарты fps в тестах совпадают, но райзен часто недогружает видос, то есть и проц и видео загружены не полностью, возможно хромает оптимизация или есть другие проблемы
In every single game I saw in this video GPU Utilization on Intel based system was enough higher than the one found on the Ryzen system. The only exception is the new Tomb Raider, where I saw that the 1400 scored higher FPS than the 7500. I can only wonder where the continuous optimization will bring Ryzen in terms of utilizing all of their potential.
well i hate fanboys myself they are so stupid...i take that gadget that is budget friendly and i don't buy it for just the name...oooo look i have an intel 1000000x, o look i have a nvidia titan and shit...and dont get me wrong doing this comparison because they are the best at the moment..gotta say this year amd killed it with the ryzen 7 especially i mean price performance is fucking ridiculous.
Yes, and the GPU utilization of the Ryzen is also, on average, less than that of the i5. Even when plagued by optimization issues, Ryzen still preforms just as good as their i5 counterparts.
Analysing the whole thing also brings a conclusion ryzen is better.. sorry. the motion too, actually ryzen has better frametimes by a bit, it equals out, and andromeda is the newest game on there and in ryzens favour due to more threads (7700k would stomp as a 4/8 sure but its 2x the price near). Its cheaper than the 7500 too, and in say 2-3 yrs most games will use 8 threads properly like andromeda and BF1, its the sound option by far unless your an intel fan.
Because the I5 is nearly maxed or maxed out, its likely (as proven in a few videos now) that the frametime variance is tighter and smoother on ryzen despite the slightly lower fps in older games, in brand new games ryzen rules. (mass effect)
I laugh when people saying ryzens gaming performance is bad .. ryzens gaming performance never drops below 60 , that's amazing especially for the price of the chips . there very good value . goodjob on amds part for bringing competition to the CPU market and not over charging us .
Notice that the AMD runs cooler and its not even using the CPU like the Intel is. At one point, the Intel i5 was running 100% while the AMD was at 60%, still faster FPS and cooler temps. AMD have really stepped up this time. Balancing load between the CPU and GPU to max performance. Very smart.
Wanted to ask you about the mobo you use with ryzen. Asus Prime b350m-a. Are you happy with it or you had some problems? I've seen it's quite dirt cheap in my country and been thinking about taking this one to my new rig.
Hello there! I'm looking to get one these R5 1400 and i was wondering, did you managed to reach 3.7 Ghz with the stock Wraith Stealth cooler or are you using another kind of fan?
Guys I know you should buy a 1600 for streaming record etc but will the 1400 get the job done as it does have 8 threads and surely better than i5 7500 for the coming years?
The Ryzen has plenty of headroom cpu usage wise. Will pull ahead once new games are released that are optimized for it. Also it runs better with an AMD gpu.
look at the ryzen cpu usage its barely sweeting because of the benchmarking , the fps number are not important enogh . your eye cannot see the difference above 24 fps after all
This comparison is very helpful to potential buyers. I will definitely buy a Ryzen when I need a desktop upgrade, if Intel doesn't respond to this situation.
Pretty similar performance but having in mind that the r5 1400 it's more cheaper than the i5 7500 just a bit i know but it's something to consider when we review both processors
for people wondering why the intel is being utilized more than the ryzen, it is because ryzen has 8 threads vs intel's 4 threads. Most of the games do not utilize all 8 threads of the ryzen, therefore the overall usage of the cpu is lower. Very simple to understand i would think.
For anyone interested in either cpu in UK: www.scan.co.uk prices: R5 1400 - 155.99, I5 7400 -165.49, r5 1500x - 174.49, I5 7500 - 189.98, r5 1600 - 199.99, I5 7600k - 229.99. Judging from these prices for gaming alone, the best deals are: r5 1400, r5 1600 (1500x too close to 1600 in price), I5 7400, i really cannot recommend 7600k in UK, its 30 more than the r5 1600. Any productivity or workloads or editing or streaming/recording? R5 1400 or R5 1600 straight out, as the extra threads WILL be used fully.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure the 1400 is closer to 50% most of the time because it has 8 threads, but most games don't use more than 4, which is why the 4 core i5 is closer to 100%. Ryzen would see better performance in games if they support more cores, and seeing the way that more cpu's are getting more cores/threads, I could see that in the very near future.
Hi just wanted to ask i`m planning to build a pc and i`m planning to buy Ryzen 5 1400 as my CPU and AMD RX 460 2GB sa my GPU.. can this run 1080p in high settings or even in ultra..?
Basically same performance; but at least the Wraith cooler doesn't suck balls compared to Intel's. And you have 8 threads, compared to only 4. Kaby Lake is mature architecture, refined ever since Sandy Bridge. Ryzen is brand new, and yet performs prett darn good. R5 1400 is cheaper, can be overclocked on stock cooler, and runs cooler. I don't see any reason why anyone would take a 7500 over a 1400.
That is an insane CPU bottleneck in project cars. Ryzen 1400 is still not ready. I wanted to buy ryzen so bad. Maybe I will wait for the CPU revisions to come out next year.
Fps is considerably higher with the i5 in GTV V than with the Ryzen. At the same price as the i5 or a little more you can get a Intel Xeon in socket 1150 and 1151 that is actually just a i7 without the built in GPU (that you will never use anyway). I would say the best gaming CPU for the money is a Xeon, not i5 or Ryzen if you play CPU demanding games like GTA V and similar... Writing this from a Xeon 3,4Ghz Server/Workstation computer in socket 1150 that is great for gaming also :)
amd and intel are good making processors, everyone knows well. Both had good and bad products. Since Fx or last, amd was behind intel. Now i have an Amd Fx-6300 in my desktop pc, and still running properly, it cost me the black edition 85 euros... about the degrees, i can only say i used to work hard with the stock fan and the temperatures never was a problem (max. 70c, full load in summer). On the other hand, i have a pentium p6100 in my laptop and same as the amd: good work but sometimes lags in multitask, and high temperatures (over 80-86c). I know right, and i dont pretend compare a desktop pc with a laptop, i only made this comment to give a info hehe Greats from Spain, and nice video, i really want a ryzen, but my fx still fighting well :)
I play Forza and the Intel looked considerably better on Project Cars, I was hoping to upgrade my i5 4670K but I can see the Ryzen especially as it was overclocked isn't an upgrade. If I didn't already have the i5 I'd give one a go though as they are cheap.
The ONLY downside in Ryzen is that if it lacks the upgrading potential that intel chips do, for example you could go from a $60 pentium to a $800 i7, but this is no problem for me because I am proud to be rocking Ryzen
Wow ryzen 5 1400 oc seems pretty good match intel core i5 kabylake. thanks mate for this benchmark games specially for the Ryzen 5 . great job sub this (y)
I think with the witcher you could've turned the settings up a little more on the ryzen. In fact.. you could probably turn the settings up a little more on all the games with ryzen, but first you need a slightly more powerful GPU
Can someone explain the deal with gpu utilization? The games where intel wins, gpu percentage was higher, but the games where intel and amd both have the same fps, gpu percentage was equal. What's going on there?
Buy whatever you like, it's nice to have a choice finally.
Jonathan Burrows this man gets it.
barondorado i hope you do know that ryzen's cheapest mobo is double the price of intel's cheapest motherboard, that does not fit my budget
A new lower-end mobo will be released for Ryzen soon enough
B350 is the bare minimum for flawless performance though
Arjun Batra I have the Asus Prime B350 Mainboard for 90€
Bruh what shit are you talking?
Bruh do research before talking
Yung TedBounty lol do the research.... really kiddo dont teach me that shit
i live in a different country than yours and the tax is different on imported items here than your country ......when intel's cheapest mobo is just for 65$ in my country at the same time b350-m the cheapst for ryzen available now is at 110$ ....see the difference? i hope you know little bit of maths and in that much extra money i can buy i5 7600k instead of r5 1500x.....thats y i asked for comparison fool
Intel fanboys are in denial. I'm an Intel owner myself but I'm definitely happy for AMD. Great moves AMD.
Truer words never preached
Maiky Finally a guy that's part from the consumer side and not amd or Intel
But the i5 is better on the 6 games, and exactly the same price, with less average consume, cheaper motherboard, why would intel fanboys would be ''in denial''?
AMD still is paying more for less, same story since they designed the first fx and ended phenoms 2.

77TheEnd77 and in the same new game and more like bf1 etc the fx 8 cores people laughed at are still holding the 60 fps standard
i5 7500 100%!!!
R5 1400 50%
nice AMD.
optimization for 4 cores not 8.
ryzen will be strong in the future, but as for now most games can´t really use the 8 cores
2:05
R5 1400 OC @ 51c
core i5 7500 stock @ 56c
good jop amd
7500 cant even be overclocked.
Black Widow u can overclock locked cpu
Kaby Lake CPUs don't support BLCK overclock.
i5 puffs and chokes at 100% cpu. amd same framerate 50% cpu load. easy WIN amd
haha you think ryzen with stock cooler here?) With stock cooling wyzen 5 1400 on 3.6+GHz achieve 75+ deg
Wow, I didn't expect much from the 1400, but it's a pretty good buy for how close it is to the 7500.
kids go for kaby lake
mens go for ryzen
legends go from "core 2 duo to core 2 quad".
koti
Manas Ranjan real legends go from a single core 3.06Ghz unknown processor to an athlon IIx2, that happened to me lol.
Cant stop laughing
well actually i went from amd sempron single core to phenom x3
Manas Ranjan Hahahah

Can you link AMD saying Ryzen was a going to be a gaming cpu? I only heard about multi threading for cheaper and more power efficient than intel.
Well it is one aspect of evaluation. I am guessing you don't really have to evaluate other sides now, as it is already a consensus that it offers superior value over the competition in nearly every other aspects.

I have the same cpu utilzation on my 3 year old i7. Will it get better?
some of the fanboyism
smh
Well if you old i7 has not even been released yet, drivers are brand new and windows/games have to release updates then yeah, it'll get better.
Can't accept the fact that AMD is doing good, can you? Eh?
I'm sure you 3 year old i7 which i'm guessing is an ivy bridge has long reahed its peaked optamization.
Its a haswell. And the same shit was said about piledriver ˝Wait for the updates its gonna get better˝ It sure got better all right :D . Sure ryzen needs updating but if you expect amazing performances then you're expecting far too much

Anyone motined in 4:50 Gpu usage is always between 80-85% and cpu usage is at 40-50% with r5 1400 ... optimisation issue her clearly.
lol mass effect i5 100% 88fps , ryzen r5 55% 100fps , i5 bottleneck :v
en muchos juegos el i5 esta al 100%..esto se debe a la cantidad de nucleos
Pero si el R5 1400 igual tiene 4 nucleos como el i5 :v
Dj Daniel Boy EQP Mega Stars All you do is reach.
atl richard77 he's a grade A Intel fan boy
Dj Daniel Boy EQP Mega Stars almost the same with the first gen without fixes m8
My Piece of Shit Country doesnot have Ryzen CPU, so I am bound to go with 7500.
ShishiR were are you from
What a nice performance from ryzen finally a good competition in the cpu market
Jim Fare Time to buy it for my budget pc
Icy Dive422 Got mine "Budget PC" 905€
Asus Prime B350
Ryzen 1400
GTX1070 Gainward
16GB 2400hz RAM
Its my first ever gaming PC and I saved for it about three years now
I will order the parts when I get a discount and the site where I buy usually gives 15% when you buy in June when you are a first time customer
I can't wait to be able to play Dota2 again!
Yung TedBounty 905€ build for a gsme like Dota?? u can play dota with the first IBM pc :p
i barely cant with my macbook pro 2011(its an shity i5) lmao, thats why im selling to build a pc.
***** the new macbooks are quite beefy they have a rx480 or 580 in them
this is the first time in 10 years that we can be legitimately excited about AMD's QPR vs Intel. Congrats AMD!
Ryzen 50-60 % of utilization, Intel 80-90 %
Rhino 1114 ryzen win
Its 4/4 vs 4/8 . I have the same with my 3 year old i7 if i compared it to an i5 in games where more core/threads matter
PlayDroid 96 is it a win when ryzen has less fps?
***** In two games, in the other ryzen is up
***** mass effect Ryzen 50% 100fps , i5 100% 85 fps i5 bottleneck
No need for Intel anymore....
whats intel?
What if intel launch a 4c/8t at same price that ryzen and perfoms better? No amd anymore? Xd
Actually, that would create a monopoly and therefore, prices will skyrocket once again
DunkDisord3r butthurt Intel fangay
who cares about the brand of cpu we're all playing the same game
The fact that the obviously poorly optimized Ryzen 1400 can keep up with the 7500 in every single game pretty much depicts how hard AMD is fucking Intel right now.
ryzen is not even fully optimized yet and still beats intel
More games need to be tested. As you can see, some games prefer Ryzen, other games i5. After all, the GFX card is what will determine your gaming experience.
8 threads are faster than 4 threads, fucking incredible !
We just witnessed something special
Ryzen 5 1400 OC with RAM 2400Mhz, LOL.
what do you mean?
Point To Be Noted
RYZEN is still A Newer CPU, that isn't still Trustworthy, Imo
But I will take RYZEN over INTEL
I won't mind Few FPS drop over Faster Render.
Ryzen hmm now not that new
ill gladly take 5fps less in games for 30+% less cpu load & WAY better rendering capacity ANYDAY. ryzen > intel
Love your work man. There are a lot of reviews out there but they are far from real world usage. I love the fact that your tests are according to real world usage. With these budget oriented processors who is gonna put a titan Xp, he would rather have a RX480 or a 1060. Great job keep it up.
Why car ( 01:12 ) looks so different? Red backlights looks like HDR ON on the left side, and HDR OFF on the right side. o_o
Krl mano perfeito formato de vídeo da pra ter uma grande comparação
For price i think Ryzen are my choice....
обратил внимание что при 100% загрузке видеокарты fps в тестах совпадают, но райзен часто недогружает видос, то есть и проц и видео загружены не полностью, возможно хромает оптимизация или есть другие проблемы
R5 1400 is cheaper than the i5 7500
Not anymore
Still is where I'm from and offers greater performance. No reason to use i5 at all.
its still cheaper here lol
In every single game I saw in this video GPU Utilization on Intel based system was enough higher than the one found on the Ryzen system. The only exception is the new Tomb Raider, where I saw that the 1400 scored higher FPS than the 7500. that moment a processor 30$ cheaper than you smokes you
What cooler did you use??? Could you note that in the description in all your video's? It's kinda handy
is it just me or the gameplay on ryzen looks smooooth :) seriously.
well i hate fanboys myself they are so stupid...i take that gadget that is budget friendly and i don't buy it for just the name...oooo look i have an intel 1000000x, o look i have a nvidia titan and shit...and dont get me wrong doing this comparison because they are the best at the moment..gotta say this year amd killed it with the ryzen 7 especially i mean price performance is fucking ridiculous.
Nice editing man!
Fu@#ing Holy$#it😲😲😲!!! Ryzen is going to be a beast and this is only the beginning.
Did you test without recording? Would make sense that the Ryzen with more threads can record at the same time without problem while i5 would struggle.
RYZEN 45% CORE i5 95%!!!!
Yes, and the GPU utilization of the Ryzen is also, on average, less than that of the i5. Even when plagued by optimization issues, Ryzen still preforms just as good as their i5 counterparts.
Now what, haters?)
RYZEN 90fps INTEL 120fps!!! Lol
obviously not
higher cpu(intel)is shit!!!
I love videos like this that show side by side comparison.
I still don't understand which is better ?
Dhiren Pahuja it depends on the game, but i think overall the ryzen cpu could do some gaming while using some other apps on the background
nandoedwin1 okay thanks for helping 😄
Fanboys will say Ryzen.
You can see in the video that Intel is faster by a bit.
Because the I5 is nearly maxed or maxed out, its likely (as proven in a few videos now) that the frametime variance is tighter and smoother on ryzen despite the slightly lower fps in older games, in brand new games ryzen rules. (mass effect)
I hope Amd brings a 70$ or 80$ Ryzen 3 what will beat the Pentium g4560.
I laugh when people saying ryzens gaming performance is bad .. ryzens gaming performance never drops below 60 , that's amazing especially for the price of the chips . there very good value . goodjob on amds part for bringing competition to the CPU market and not over charging us .
Intel is up by a little bit right now I will be honest but once the optimization comes I'm hoping ryzen will do just as good if not better.

AMD just won another customer. I havent had an AMD cpu since my AMD Duron 950 MHz
not rushing on upgrading to i7 :) gonna wait for ryzen 5 to be available in our area
2mins of silence for i5 7500. RIP
Wanted to ask you about the mobo you use with ryzen. Asus Prime b350m-a. Are you happy with it or you had some problems? I've seen it's quite dirt cheap in my country and been thinking about taking this one to my new rig.
ryzen 5 + ram 3000mhz lol rip i5 7500
lol, do u have Money for 3000+mhz memory and dont have money for ryzen 7 or better videocard, lmao
Albert Zhmyshenko lol are u serious? My 16GB 3000mhz cost just over a hundred bucks and a ryzen 7 or a better card than 1060 is like 300-500 dollars
cause we all know RAM speed is extremely important on gaming, that 1 fps difference between 1333mhz and 3000mhz is just SICK lol.
77TheEnd77 ram speed is important for ryzen as the architecture favours faster ram speeds
77TheEnd77 I've seen benchmarks where there's a around 10fps increase with faster ram
It seems to me Ryzen does better on some games, and intel does better on some games. They both seem equal. I have the i5 7500k.
Ryzen is strong 50% vs 90-100%intel
games need optimization for ryzen
Juann Giraldoo u're 100% right. let the time pass and AMD will update the cpus until reach in a fair situation with the intels' ones
Hello there! I'm looking to get one these R5 1400 and i was wondering, did you managed to reach 3.7 Ghz with the stock Wraith Stealth cooler or are you using another kind of fan?
Seems like the i5 does better but ryzen is having less utillization than the i5.
4 cores of the ryzen are not used bc games are mostly optimized for 4 not 8
Guys I know you should buy a 1600 for streaming record etc but will the 1400 get the job done as it does have 8 threads and surely better than i5 7500 for the coming years?
idk I'm still getting ryzen it's cheaper
The Ryzen has plenty of headroom cpu usage wise. Will pull ahead once new games are released that are optimized for it. Also it runs better with an AMD gpu.
welcome, 10 years of Intel optimised market. still people hoped Ryzen would crush Intel... stop the nonsense, these line of processores is great.
luis jesus Lol, the cheapiest R5 gives about 5fps less than i5, it costs less and there is lower CPU usage
ignore this little fanboy
''your eye cannot see the difference above 24 fps after all'
you are joking, right?
Ömer uz yup iam trolling
I think he meant 60 fps
My eyes can see the difference up to like 75 fps or so because i know what im looking for.
Yafi Sudira That's not true. If ud have 300 hz monitor youd see 300 fps...
This comparison is very helpful to potential buyers. I will definitely buy a Ryzen when I need a desktop upgrade, if Intel doesn't respond to this situation.
Do a bench with this same setup's in bf1 through mud and blood!
Pretty similar performance but having in mind that the r5 1400 it's more cheaper than the i5 7500 just a bit i know but it's something to consider when we review both processors
Both using stock cooler? Even you OC that ryzen still has lower temperature than i5. It's a win for me.
for people wondering why the intel is being utilized more than the ryzen, it is because ryzen has 8 threads vs intel's 4 threads.
I cant wait to get my hands on this CPU and a MINI-ITX motherboard.
Damn, Im buying a prebuilt with that same intel CPU, the usage is astounding, geez.
they seem to preform pretty evenly overall but that 7500 is working hard
So it is better to buy Ryzen because in the future the games will take advantage of all the cores or buy Intel?
Wow, Ryzen 5 1400 is doing great! Congratulations AMD, Great CPU!
Excellent Price/Performance!!!
the price point difference is a decent gap and the cheaper one is better? good job amd
Why are you not compare both on high graphics? I see a GPU utilization is about 80-90% and I think it's better to testing in high graphics
Is there a reason to get the 1500x over the 1400 if both are overclocked? Any experience in iracing with either ?
Let me guess ryzen is on the left smoother moving frames low processor usage and lower temps.
IM IN LOVE WITH THAT CPU USAGE OMG I THINK I'm going amd for my live streaming build
Took me a few seconds to see the higher fps on Ryzen, and how CPU is at 100% on Intel. Clear winner
Are the D3D 11 API calls singlethreaded? The Project Cars CPU and GPU utilization makes very little sense.
Why the gpu usage cant reach 100% in witcher 3 with ryzen? Is ryzen bottlenecking the gtx 1060 too?
Could you also benchmark with a RX 470 or 480 please?
Hi just wanted to ask i`m planning to build a pc and i`m planning to buy Ryzen 5 1400 as my CPU and AMD RX 460 2GB sa my GPU.. can this run 1080p in high settings or even in ultra..?
The limiting factor from the gpu was not taken into account
please tell which cpu cooler you are using and the core voltage.
im in need of an upgrade im using a fx-8350 from 2011 lmao, hoping to buy a 1600x with a new mobo and ram and a cooler in the near future
i'd go with the RYZEN 5 1400 because of utilization and OC ability for current price and it's an overall great performance and 8 threads
Maybe I will wait for the CPU revisions to come out next year.
pretty crazy to see 100+ FPS @ low 40% cpu usage
Fps is considerably higher with the i5 in GTV V than with the Ryzen. At the same price as the i5 or a little more you can get a Intel Xeon in socket 1150 and 1151 that is actually just a i7 without the built in GPU (that you will never use anyway). I would say the best gaming CPU for the money is a Xeon, not i5 or Ryzen if you play CPU demanding games like GTA V and similar... Writing this from a Xeon 3,4Ghz Server/Workstation computer in socket 1150 that is great for gaming also :)
Did you use stock fan for ryzen or other???
amd and intel are good making processors, everyone knows well.
I know right, and i dont pretend compare a desktop pc with a laptop, i only made this comment to give a info hehe
Greats from Spain, and nice video, i really want a ryzen, but my fx still fighting well :)
I play Forza and the Intel looked considerably better on Project Cars, I was hoping to upgrade my i5 4670K but I can see the Ryzen especially as it was overclocked isn't an upgrade.
If I didn't already have the i5 I'd give one a go though as they are cheap.
Got my i5-7500 for €150, so happy with that.
The ONLY downside in Ryzen is that if it lacks the upgrading potential that intel chips do, for example you could go from a $60 pentium to a $800 i7, but this is no problem for me because I am proud to be rocking Ryzen
you could wait for ryzen 3 if you really want to............
what cpu cooler?
Ryzen - May the Force be with you!!!!
why didn't you play them at higher settings? ryzen never got to show it's true potential
Im taking a shot in the dark but it seem like the intel platform is able to utilize more of the gpu.
do a comparison between 1600 vs 1600x vs 7500 vs 7600k
i prefer smoother gameplay rather than greater frame rates
Right now Ryzen 1400 is 33€ (34$) less than i5-7500 in Poland, seems like a really competitive price.
Can someone explain the deal with gpu utilization? The games where intel wins, gpu percentage was higher, but the games where intel and amd both have the same fps, gpu percentage was equal. What's going on there?
