If doing this in the future I suggest using a vacuum suction pump to evacuate the oil through the transmission dip stick. If you make a good enough seal it will draw all the oil from the filter and then will not cause any mess or drips from the filter, this is how I do it at work as I can not stand making a mess.

Do you need to remove the gearbox sump and you bought a new plate thing what was that ?? the diagnostics thing at end what is it your doing I have a small AUTEL bluetooth OBD unit i can buy Mercedes pack for would that do it , and where to get long pipe to fill the gearbox oil .... also is this all you need to do to service the gearbox, apart from replacing 1 litre in rear Diff ??? ( new to a45 trying to work out servicing i need to do ) i figured as a new to me buyer doing the gearbox service, rear diff, oil , oil filter, cabin filter, spark plugs would be ok anything else many thanks

I recently had my 7G-DCT "brain" replaced plus the oil while everything was open. It was giving me yellow check engine light on the dash, but it shifted like normal. I am surprised that yours is still good considering you go to track somethimes. Mine is a 2016 a180 petrol by the way.

My wife bought a 2014 A200 with 66,000km. It has no record of the auto fluid being changed. The local dealer wants NZ$960 to service the trans. As a former Honda Service Technician I though I'd try it myself. After seeing this video and the special tools and computer interface gear required, the $960 doesn't seem unreasonable.

Bei ihm kündigt sich der Wechsel des Zweimassenschwungrades an. Laut WIS muss für den Ausbau des Getriebes der komplette Motor ausgebaut werden. Stimmt es wirklich oder lässt sich dieses Getriebe auch beim eingebauten Motor ausbauen?

You need to know the oil temp. The dipstick measurements have to be made at either 40 celsius or 80 celsius. I believe it’s 4 notches at 40 or 5 notches at 80. And they insist to be very close to these temps.
I've got a 2018 CLA-45 AMG less then 23,000km on it transmission is over heating on idle in all modes in Drive(114c). Cools down in Park, cools down driving(96-98c), l've had trans service done by MB no leaks and still have the issue they checked trans waterpump vavle no issues. Any ideas on what it could be resorting to forums as its costly taking it into dealer mechanics
Dude, it's been a long time since you posted this, but maybe you could give me some insight. My CLA 45 has got ticking that becomes faster with speed behind both the cylinder head and high-pressure fuel pump. It barely affects power, but I've noticed rough idling. I've changed my entire purge system, fixed a coolant issue, and nothing! Would you agree that it may be the intake manifold (as in the air charger manifold) that's got a leak? May be worth noting this ticking became deeper and quieter after I swapped out my mid-pipe, leading me to believe it could be this... Sorry it's not related to the transmission fluid change, but I figured while I'm using all your videos as my bible I'd ask! Let me know if possible :)

I got 85,000 miles on mine and the transmission started to shit hard on up shifts , jerk like affect time to time not when i m on the gas, just when the car has to upshifts by itself only. I did the service like yors and replaced b70 crankshaft hall sensor , but problem still there. no faulty codes at all. i did remove the Aux battery a year ago. would that cause the problem? any advice would be good. thanks saeed

So, please let me know if you think it's better to work it out myself or let someone else do it. I usually do the oil changes and the meintenance on the car my self but I heard that this one is a little tricky and I can see that you're using some specific diag for it... wich I dont have, unfortunately. Cool! Du machst super Arbeit. Bei welchem Mercedes Autohaus arbeitest du, dann bring ich mein Auto zu dir in den Service. Da kann man sich sicher sein, dass sehr sauber gearbeitet wurde
put in exactly what came out of it, let it drain into a pan with Litre indicator or quarts. You can't go wrong doing it this way. The proper way you need a obd computer to let you know which are generally available from a workshop, or you can even buy one for under $1K on ebay that will do the job.

How frequent or at what kilometers do change the oil? My c180 has 50.000km on the clock and the oil in the gearbox is still the same. Can it stay for 100k or 10 years like in the old days of autotrans?
yes they are generally 10 yrs oil or 100,000 kms. Can go for much longer if you drive the car normally. Don't waste your money changing it before unless you have driven the car at high rpms all the time. If that's the case change it with factory oils.

l specifically purchased a Mercedes W176 dipstick and after delivery compared it to a generic Mercedes dipstick. No difference. Same reading. Cheap ones on eBay are just fine.

I replaced my gearbox in 2016. So it is quite new...
WaveCeptor do you mind sharing the reason for the replacement? Was it just bad luck or do these gearboxes not respond well to track use?
@@user-jh7wm3qe1u It was a mailfunction of the reverse gear synchronisation. When cold the gearbox made noises when shifting from D to R.

Is it cold outside when u try?Because it has to be warmer for race strat to function.
What was the mileage you did it at? So it requires a complete calibration of the DCT to replace the fluid?

Hi und Danke :) Ja beim Ausbau des Getriebes wird zuerst der Motor samt Getriebe aus dem Fahrzeug ausgebaut.

This ended up being the wastegate flap's arm. Welded new flap on exhaust side of turbo and it works perfectly again :)

Bei den 45 AMG Modellen ist der Skalenwert immer 4 bei 40°C Getriebeöltemperatur. Bei anderen Modellen kann der Skalenwert anders sein.
How frequent or at what kilometers do change the oil? My c180 has 50.000km on the clock and the oil in the gearbox is still the same. Can it stay for 100k or 10 years like in the old days of autotrans?
yes they are generally 10 yrs oil or 100,000 kms. Can go for much longer if you drive the car normally. Don't waste your money changing it before unless you have driven the car at high rpms all the time. If that's the case change it with factory oils.
What s the part number of the transmission dipstick you use to validate the oil level?

l specifically purchased a Mercedes W176 dipstick and after delivery compared it to a generic Mercedes dipstick. No difference. Same reading. Cheap ones on eBay are just fine.
