great video - and thank you for all the lovely recommendations! Not sure if I've ever recommended these to you - but they still come to mind when I think of my favorites set abroad - author is Susan Howatch, 'Cashelmara' and 'Penmarric' - not a series but both are historical fiction that I think you'd enjoy. They were library reads a few years ago - and had to hunt down my own copies! You definitely need to add the PBS Masterpiece All Creatures Great and Small to your watch-list. So well done - cozy, comical at times and a wonderful cast of characters / actors. The scenery is breathtaking as well. Love Masterpiece shows.... hope you are doing well 😊 Jacqueline
I have not heard of those, so thank you for the recommendation. I'll add them to my list! You've made me want to watch All Creatures Great and Small even more now. Might be perfect for this cozy newborn season.
Love this list of English books. As an English woman may I suggest some more? One of my favourites set during the war is ‘Old Baggage’ by Lissa Evans, there are two sequels as well, they are wonderfully heartfelt and funny books. Also, a children’s book I adore is ‘Goodnight Mr Tom’ by Michelle Magorian, it might just break your heart though. Finally, if you like gothic historical fiction there’s ‘The Silent Companions’ by Laura Purcell, all of her other books have the same feel too. Thanks for the video Gloria x
I still have The Other Bennet Sister to get to. Gown has been on my radar for a while. Love all the classics you chose. 84 Charing Cross Road is still on my TBR. Three Hours is one I want to get to as well. I’ve heard really good things. 😊💙
I have a feeling the ones you mentioned are on your want to read list will be wins for you! Especially Bennet Sister and Three Hours. Such excellent reads.
I read A Fine Romance earlier this year and I loved it so much! I borrowed it from the library but now I want to buy my own copy- it's a book to linger over.
Gloria, did you read The War I Finally Won by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley? It is the companion novel to The War that Saved My Life. I gave both books 5 star ratings. This was a lovely follow-up.
Hi Gloria, I am your greatest fan. May God helps you live a harmonious & prosperous life. Could you please review the book 'The collection of short stories' written by Mr. O. Subramanian. I thought it is a nice one to read. It's is entirely based on the real life experiences of an ordinary man.
I can’t quite figure out how to vlog so I really appreciate people who do!
It’s definitely tough for me! I’m in awe of people who only vlog. It’s so much work for each video.
A great mix of books! Thank you for the video, and congratulations on your son!
Thanks so much for watching!
♥️📚📚♥️...many of my favorite books! Thanks for sharing!
That's awesome, thanks for watching!
What a great collection of books set in England! I have read a fair number of these and enjoyed them as well!

Oh thank you so much for these recommendations! All of those sound exactly like my kind of reads.

Can’t wait to try it!

I completely agree! It's on my wishlist and I'm always keeping an eye out for it in bookstores. Definitely one I'd have on my shelves to reread.
I've only read one of these books, 84 Charring Cross Road. I loved it. Great idea for a video!
Thanks! I need to pickup more Helene Hanff. I've heard her other books are great too.
There are two more books in the Dear Mrs Bird series and they’re great too!
I've read them and enjoyed them too! Not as much as the first, but still fun to be with the characters.
GREAT list of books. I’ve read about half of them and now want to read the other half!!
So many of these sound like books I would adore!!! Love this list 💗
Happy to have inspired you! I hope you try some of them.

I have! I read them back to back. Agree, they were very well done!

My daughter just read The Secret Garden and wants me to read it.
It’s a sweet read! A children’s classic for a reason and perfect for spring 🌸
Congrats❤
You’ve got the flag wrong love 🏴🏴🏴
I really liked The Salt Path but I did Not like the sequel at all. I was disappointed in it.
I’ve yet to read the sequel but it’s on my list. What was disappointing about it?
