  • In this video, we discuss a heartbreaking situation where a woman's husband has left her over seven times, including after her C-section when their baby was in the NICU. While he is wonderful 90% of the time, he explodes in anger and runs away frequently, causing emotional pain and confusion for his wife. We explore the possible reasons for his behavior, including unresolved childhood issues and a need for control. Dr. Joe offers advice on how to handle the situation, including seeking professional counseling and setting solid boundaries. If you are dealing with abandonment or emotional pain in your marriage, this video offers insights and guidance on how to move forward.

My wife is in the first category as a runner, running from marriage and seeking her affair partner. Same AP twice. We did the MH course, unfortunately it comes down to her wanting to change and it that takes her dealing with her past.
She denies any issues which is the worst part. She’s a fearful avoidant and our therapist which she stopped attending said she has borderline personality disorder.
I can say I tried and did everything but like Dr. Beam said there is nothing you can do.
My last hope is God. Let her run like the prodigal and maybe she will hit rock bottom and turn back to God. As for me I will keep praying until God closes the door on this marriage and allow me to move on or he restores.
I didn’t realize how much damage someone like this can cause but by God’s grace I was saved during this journey and the Holy Spirit transformed me to a new man. I can attest if I wasn’t saved that I would have moved on and started dating right away most likely creating more problems for myself and my children.
I wish that I was part of the statistic of a saved marriage from the MH course. I have my salvation and that is more important than my marriage.
