andres pineda There is almost never sheet music for jazz. This is mostly improvised on the spot, with a few worked out areas. Incredible musicianship. If you really like this music, do a Google search for programs like Anytune, Capo, Transcribe! (Yes, with the exclamation point), and the venerable Amazing Slow Downer. Actually Riffstation is free right now, and it's normally $30. All of these apps and programs slow down the music, so you can transcribe it by ear. It can be work, but it's soooo satisfying! Good luck!
Excellent fiddle work. Excellent guitar work by Olli. I first heard Olli working with Joscho. I question the use of the phrase "Gypsy", when in reality it has nothing to do with Gypsy style music. I first heard Stephane and Django many years ago (78s) playing, and the music was labeled "Hot Club Jazz", which I believe is a more fitting label. Real gypsy music utilizes minor scales (diatonic, Hungarian, Romani, etc.) Folklore gives gypsies credit for the spread of "hot jazz" which is not true. And if memory serves me, the association of the word "gypsy" is due is large part to Django.
Django was a Belgian who was indeed part gypsy. It is the style that he pioneered along with Stephane Grapelli and is what is known as Gypsy Jazz (as opposed to Gypsy music which sounds altogether different.)
