In layering I believe that at least one of the fragrances should be rather simple as a rule of thumb. For example I use kayali vanilla or jo Malone blackberry bay to enhance certain fragrances. It’s like cooking I think. You wouldn’t want to mix two completely different dishes together, but adding a simple ingredient to a dish might make an interesting twist on occasion.
Great timing with this video! I layered Dolce and Gabbana Pour Femme with Ariana Grande cloud tonight because I wanted it to be sweeter and juicier. It worked a treat!
Being a bit OCT, I rarely layer my scents, especially if they are the more expensive and long-lasting ones. I do, however, try to use a body wash and lotion in the same fragrance family as the perfume. BTW, that color blue suits you very well.
I recently had a happy layering accident. I forgot I was wearing Armani Si when my new purchase of Michael Kors Signature arrived. In my excitement I ripped opened the Signature and sprayed it directly on top of the Si. It was a pleasant surprise, and not something I would have done on purpose. It taught me to be more experimental with my layering. 😎
I see how some girls do this so effortlessly and honestly their combinations they come up with …, just sounds amazing ! Some ... Some of the combinations I know they stink to high heaven because I know what those perfume smells like and they Definetly do not go together . I’m very picky with my combinations, not everything fits together. I heard of layering Versace Dylan Blue with Vince Camuto Capri and that honestly sounds quite amazing 😻 I’m going to have to try that because I don’t like the depth Versace Dylan blue has it’s too deep and almost strong I want to make it more fresh . So that works.
I definitely layer my perfumes, but I always put them on different spots. I also do one scent on my clothes and another on my skin. OR one in my hair and one on my skin- that was so crazy that you mentioned that!
You always mention Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum, so I finally went to try it out. OMG. Amazing. I love Jo Malone's Pear and Freesia, but I find it a bit underwhelming on its own. Jimmy Choo is more complex and the toffee adds such a beautiful touch. I bought it yesterday. I will be trying more of your recommendations. Love your channel!
Hi Soki! I have a question that I have been researching for some time and I'm wondering what your opinion might be. My mom wore the original Bvlgari Omnia for years, but now it can't even be smelled on her, so I'm curious if you could recommend any perfumes similar to Omnia. My mom particularly liked the woody/pine aspect of Omnia, as she describes it.
I love to layer Jo Malone Orange Blossom with Wild Bluebell. So beautiful together! Thanks for the tips for layering in other ways to make a more signature scent. ❤️
I like to use a basic summer scent like Cavalli Paradiso and layer it later in the day either with a pure citrus (Girl in Capri) or a Grapefruit scent. As you said, layering can tweak your scent and enhance certain notes. I like your comment "making your own flanker" - thats it! :-)
I received Lancome Miracle as a gift and I couldn’t stand it by itself so I’ve been layering it with Issey Miyake l'eau d'issey for a beautiful fresh floral fragrance
I wanted to give you another video idea-underrated perfumes! I feel like there are so many scents that people do not gravitate towards because they are not advertised. I love Jimmy Choo’ Illicit-it’s a sweet ginger that I never thought I’d like, but I love it now.
Love layering to enhance or sweeten, but for me through trial and error I've found it works best to add a more simple fragrance to a more complex one. I've found vanilla to be a favorite layering scent with so many of my evening scents, lightening and sweetening them just enough for daytime!🥰
In my opinion layering fragances at the same time means killing a perfume. It is more reasinable layering at the moment of reapply fragance, for ex 6 or 7 hours after the first app. I like to use my perfum at morning and keep a little bottle of a dupe or a flanker in my bag if I need reapply during the day.
l’Eclat from Rituals is specially made to spray on top of other perfumes. It has a specific fragrance. I have so many perfumes. And lately I love coconut fragrances. Guerlain Coconut Fizz is very good indeed. And I also like to use like Chopard Wish, or Chopard Casmir on top of it or 1 hour later. Because it both has coconut in it also. Roberto Cavalli has many perfumes which I can also layer easily.
Soki, I think I found my signature scent when I layered two perfumes but im really trying to find a single fragrance that smells like it. Do you know of anything that combines vanilla and vetiver like 50/50?? Or any woody vanillas with a vetiver note?
I used to despise layering too I felt it messed up perfectly good perfume dna 🧬… now I’m just getting into this …! Anybody else terrible with the layering ideas? 😧I’m wearing 🥻IDÔLE Le perfume by Lancôme and I don’t don’t know what In my collection would be good with this 🤨 it’s a wateryyy Jasmine rose scent🤷🏽♀️ maybe another rose scent I guess … mon paris intensement Would that be IT to layer it with?
IMHO idole would not be a good layering scent unless you are trying to intensify (layer with idole intense) or maybe pull out one of the notes like you said. But it could easily go wrong with a fragrance like idole in my opinion. I feel the same about la vie est belle.
Hi darling, I have layered it with Pure Musk by Narciso Rodriguez; I put this one first and then on top of it (exact same spot) before it completley dries, I add Idolê. On my skin, it makes it last a lot longer and also project more. In my opinion, it does not affect the scent too much, if anything it probablly makes it a bit "creamier". Give it a try! I really enjoy it😊🌸

I love layering my perfumes with the escentric molecules 01, 02 and 04!

Burberry Her & Cloud
D &G The Only one with BO Nuit Blanche
Guerlain Flora Cherrysia & Escada Sorbetto Rosso are my fav laying combo

Lol yesterday I layered delina with Burberry her and got nice compliments:) thanks for the suggestions.
I’m gng to try that

I definitely inadvertently layer performs because I change my mind halfway through the day on what I want to wear!
Haha

👍😎
Great suggestions! There were some tips I haven't heard before.
🥰

Nice idea :) I did one like this a while ago but perhaps could do another ruclips.net/video/lKZh6ZRCdnM/видео.html
Omg! I didn’t see that video. Thanks 😊😊

I don’t actually agree with that, I layer my fragrances especially adding my Kayali fragrances to other fragrances

I layered My Way on top of La Vie Est Belle and it was sooooo lovely!
I would die! 😣
what perfumes do you recommend to layer with Chloé Signature edp?
Hi dear soki.. Im from Malaysia.. Love your channel.. I have lancome miracle and coach dream. What is your comment if both of it layering together?
Have you guys try the new Gucci 1921 edp parfum
Soki, I think I found my signature scent when I layered two perfumes but im really trying to find a single fragrance that smells like it. Do you know of anything that combines vanilla and vetiver like 50/50?? Or any woody vanillas with a vetiver note?
wonderful content!
🥰
Great video
Thanks!
I tried jo malone wood sage with narsico Rodriguez fleur musc. I like that. Do u think citrus + rose e good combination for layering?
Yes I think those two would be nice
I used to despise layering too I felt it messed up perfectly good perfume dna 🧬… now I’m just getting into this …! I would suggest Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy.
Thanks I’ll have to try that . Never heard of that one by Givenchy I’ll have to get one
Depends what you want. Intensement would make it heavier and sexier I think

Does it have to be on the same spot where you spray your first perfume?
No better if not I think
Any suggestion to layer with PR Olympea Intense? Thank you 😊
Maybe Armani si?
I have the original Olympea and I love using Reb'l Fleur from Rihanna with it.
Would you do a video for Floris?
Yea will try!
🤓
I bought pure poison by dior as a blind buy. I find it very sharp on my skin what would you recommend to add to it to soften it?.
