i really hate how people use gifts to ease or erase their guilt, like why not just admit, take responsibility of the action and apologize. TBH those gifts can also be another root cause of a future problem, parents...
I wanna say I think the reason why her mother praised her more than her sister is because Ursula was a princess, daughter of triton, and Morgana was not (daughter of an unknown merman). Which would explain her mother paying more attention to her and essentially letting her get away with anything that she pleases. She probably ranked higher in the Royal hierarchy than her mother and in some instances when that happens a child can get their mother into serious trouble. So the mom probably thought it better to spoil her rotten and never discipline her and cater to her bad side than to actually raise her. As for morgana she probably just wanted to be loved and because of that she saw that the only way to get love from her mother was to try to be good at magic but Ursula excelled at it way more than her (which isn’t a surprise since she’s a demi goddess).

This is all a guess for me but I think I’ve mapped out the lineage with all the people mentioned: I believe the family tree goes on her father’s side (Poseidon) of the family ursula is the youngest of 7 daughters, like Ariel. But usually in some monarchies the male child immediately takes the throne when they’re born. On Ursula’s mother’s side, she has 1 sister which is Morgana. So all of Ursula’s sibling are half siblings. 2. Morgana is not born from Poseidon’s lineage is my guess so she has no claim to the throne or any kingdom. Ursula being a daughter of Poseidon gives her royal blood. I hope that helps 😊
Ya know.. I believed this story and looked past the 2 minutes of you repeating yourself right up until you said that The Little Mermaid came out in '98 😂
does that make Morgana Triton's half sister? since she's Ursula's younger sister but only ever comments about their mother not anything about their father
It's speculated that Morgana's father was an unknown merman and not Poseidon, who was the father of Ursula and Triton, which is why their power-hungry mother favoured Ursula (who bore royal blood) over Morgana (whose father was a "nobody"). So by that theory, no, Morgana and Triton would not be related through blood, instead being step-siblings.
Someone here pointed out that maybe Morgana and Ursula have the same mother but not the same father and that might have been a reason why Ursula was the favourite. Come to think of it, that might explain the difference between their magical abilities as well. Naturally Poseidon, being a God, would have possessed great magical powers to pass on to his daughter but Morgana's father would have had only more magic than average (or maybe none at all).
I wish you were saying was true but it isn't because in the second Little Mermaid there is Ursula's sister who seems to still have a little Grudge like her sister Ursula so can't be possible that there that Poseidon how to kids and each gifted them a gift because we learned that in the second movie that there is another one that that they both got some seashell necklace.

Yet I heard from one of RUclips that she was yes his sister and a mermaid and like ariel she saved a human wich was captain hook fell in love till found out he was killing other mermaid so as punishment she was turned to octopus sea witch as she is know and banished she study magic to take revenge
So Ursula's father and his son Triton are the real antagonists, not Ursula? You know the way I see it I think and know why Ursula is jealous of Triton's throne is because either Triton reminds her of her cruel father and she never got the chance to rule the whole sea like Triton did and poseidon only appointed triton to rule much of the sea. Now, in a gender way, Ursula I heard and read is doing these attempts for women's righs meaning in her evil yet jealous mind why only men should rule everything? Ursula wants to be the first female to rule the sea. That's why she wants Triton's throne. Which got her exiled by Triton because she tried to overthrow him according to Ariel in the extended verison of "Poor Unfortunate Souls" song in TLM movie.
No, she was born sadistic and stayed sadistic. She got one half of the sea, and triton the other. She wanted both the shell AND the triton and tortured her merpeople with black magic. That’s why she lost her half of the kingdom. Nothing about first female whatever, she is horrible! That’s why she’s such a great villain 😂

So yes we saw and kinda knew that her mother was killed or so we think. What if her mother turned into Ursula somehow. Cause in the little mermaid Ursula is pretty flirty with triton. And it would makes since on why she said "when I lived in the palace" and she wanted revenge on the humans.
@@amterasutenma2547 They actually did. Ursula refers to herself as "auntie Ursula" in her first monologue in the movie and when she talks to Ariel through the bubble Flotsam and Jetsam create in Ariel's destroyed grotto and she later on also says how she wants revenge on her brother as she plans her ways to achieve this.
If Poseidon gave Ursula more love as a father she could have become a better person and kind of person or on the other hand Ursula could only love herself instead of trying to get praise from her parents, just loving herself will be enough if she had went that route. Ursula would have definitely be a cool aunt to Ariel even a rebellious one if she was leading to the route of being a good person
Also a new theory In little mermaid 2 there's a deleted song called gonna get my wish from morgana and it had her mother and her also ursula when they both were 2 younger
So Ursula became a villain due to the neglect from her father and being left to be raised by her power greedy mother who later taught her daughters to be like her and so Ursula was basically blinded by the evil teachings of her mother and hatred of being banished for the horrible things her mother supported her to become.

@@TheMysticalMirror Now you said it Right, these feminist is the worst, always talking crazy.
@@TheMysticalMirror no one is born evil. She decided to be jealous of Triton. Because in the TLM tv series she says she wants to turn Triton's kingdom into a queendom. So Ursula's motives has to do with women's rights.
@@ms.meangood9718 wrong!!! No one is born evil. Ursula wanted Triton's throne to be the first woman to rule the sea. It's odvious. She said in the presequel tv series that she wanted to turn Triton's kingdom into queendom
@@kevindavis296 you wrong, and I know no one is born evil that's common sense, I never said she was born evil wth.
Poseidon suppose to be immortal, How Poseidon died I'm confused.
Poseidon is a Greek God of the Sea and Triton is the Roman God of the Sea
(Sorry I miss spelled the Roman God's name)
@@narutohuntmendemon6354 roman is neptune
triton is rhe son of poseidon
If you remember the series the grandfather's name was Neptune so I think he's the immortal one.
@@athenakage295 I know probably 85% or more of greek mythology, I most definitely know Poseidon and Greek Queen of the sea goddess Amphitrite are the parents of king Triton.
Has anyone that has whatever Ariels beginning that her mothers necklace was the same as Ursulas necklace? That movie was meant as a origin story. Which meant the time line was before knowing Ursula.
So yes we saw and kinda knew that her mother was killed or so we think. What if her mother turned into Ursula somehow. Cause in the little mermaid Ursula is pretty flirty with triton. And it would makes since on why she said "when I lived in the palace" and she wanted revenge on the humans.
Just a thought
I’m wondering if wedding Ursula was what she originally looked like? I also wanna know why they made Morgana her sister in the sequel…
Why does Disney always seem to forget about the second Little Mermaid Movie? Isn't the villain in that one "ursula's sister"?
Great video.
Wonder if they'll put that detail in the live-action remake.
Probably not.
This is amazing!!!!!!
Wait wait wait, so does that mean Ursula is Ariel’s AUNT..? Oh god this changes the entire movie.. still love it tho
Oh wow had no idea ursula was that evil, i just thought petty
If Poseidon gave Ursula more love as a father she could have become a better person and kind of person or on the other hand Ursula could only love herself instead of trying to get praise from her parents, just loving herself will be enough if she had went that route.
Ursula would have definitely be a cool aunt to Ariel even a rebellious one if she was leading to the route of being a good person
Wow. Poseidon died. I wonder what happened to him.
Kratos overhears somebody asking while training his BOY!
So is Morgana related to King Triton too?
Interesting new multi universe stuff. Would love to watch it
to be honest, I wish they just connect Ariel and Hercules already.
Not in a romance way, but in "OH COUSIN HERC!" and "Oh Hey Ariel Long time no see!"
Triton was kinda villainous himself
patriarchy wouldn’t hold him accountable tho
Are you seriously going to delete my comment for giving proper credit to the original creator of the thumbnail art?
It would make sense if there were 7 children. For the 7 seas.
Ursula the best villian
Do a vid on why Ursula was banished from the kingdonm
I assume Triton's mother was Amphitrite?
4:33 That 😨
"The play informed us that Ursula's father was none other than--"

Me: ...Okay, now THAT'S good timing, RUclips! 👏👏👏 Work on that more with your ads. 😒😒
Jealousy is a great motivator to become evil and greed
R.I.P. Pat Carroll aka Ursula’s and Morgana’s voice actress.
Wait, did Pat voice Morgana as well? It's been a long time since I watched the sequel so I had completely forgotten if she did.
I don’t what happened in Ursula’s backstory but I’m going to find out
Really no heartbreaking story here. Just a brat who enjoyed torturing smaller creatures, got banned, and grew up to continue on the torture and the killing.
Ursula She Been Just A Sea Witch
So Morgana and Ursula are Tritons sisters? Half sisters? What are they?
i swar this video could have been 1min long if all the repetitions was cut out zzZzzzzZZzz
